Yesterday, “The Bad Boy” Joey Janela posted on social media pictures of him revisiting the site of his infamous rooftop bump that took place eight years ago.

As part of a deathmatch documentary being filmed by A24 from directors Michael and Danny Philippou, directors of 2023 horror hit Talk To Me, Janela revisited the rooftop of former Game Changer World in Howell, New Jersey. Back in 2016, Janela was thrown off the rooftop into the back of a truck filled with barbed wire boards and light tubes, in a match against Zandig at the first ever GCW Tournament Of Survival.

Zandig ended up with a broken back, while Janela almost lost his thumb. While it was a dangerous spot, it’s a spot that put Janela on the map in the independent wrestling world.

No word yet as to when the deathmatch documentary from A24 will be released.
