Opening Contest: Midnight Heat vs. Dirty Breeze

The fans throw toilet paper rolls at the Heat after their entrance. DISRESPECT. Dirty Breeze enter to their WWE theme. Gibson and Breeze start. Breeze with a dropkick and tags to Dango who enters with a double-axhandle. Gibson gets tied up in the ropes, and suddenly a Ginuwine song plays, leading to some Dango dancing. The Heat use some shenanigans to gain the advantage and Pearl tags in to take over on Breeze. Gibson back in with an elbowdrop for two. A charge is missed but Pearl is able to get the tag and maintain control for the Heat. Breeze flips out of a suplex and gets an enzuigiri and tags are made. Dango with running European uppercuts and a Russian legsweep on Gibson. Falcon Arrow by Dango gets two. The Heat doubleteam to get back the advantage and get the Hot Seat for two. Superkick/Air-raid crash combo from Dirty Breeze gets two. Dango to the top, but the Heat escape to the outside.  Corkscrew moonsault from Dango off the stage. Last Dance legdrop is attempted, but Pearl pushes Dango off the top and Gibson rolls him up for the win. The Heat win and all is right with the world again. Match was a mix of comedy and good action, but the crowd was super into it.  **3/4

The Sound Check with new Prestige World Champion Alan Angels is up next, and he also gets the toilet paper treatment. The tag champs are on vacation in Las Vegas, but left a present for the World Champ. Oh it’s a Batman card congratulating him on his title win and a crown. The surprise guest is Evil Uno….or some dude in a loose fitting t-shirt and mask dressed to look like Uno. Angels blames Uno for relegating him to a joke as part of the Dark Order in AEW. Fake Uno apologizes, but calls Angels “Five” and gets beat up as a result. The real Evil Uno will be facing Angels for the title on May 16th.

Drexl enters to cut this off, leading to…

Match Two: Drexl vs. Sami Callihan

Short piledriver gets a quick two count for Sami. Callihan pops a balloon on Drexl and goes to work with an 8×10 for some paper cut action. Lemon juice is squeezed into the paper cuts next. To the outside, Sami tosses Drexl into some chairs in the crowd. Drexl bites the fingers and gets a staplegun, but hands one to Sami as well. They staple each other several times. Sami with a t-bone suplex into a chair for two. Drexl turns the tide and battery rams Callihan’s head into a chair wedged in the corner. The skewers come out next, but Callihan blocks and gets two short piledrivers, but Drexl sits up. Sami puts a garbage bag over Drexl’s head and the ref quickly calls for the bell.  *1/4 for the brawl.

Match Three: Lio Rush vs. Jaiden

Both men use their quickness to avoid strikes, but Jaiden eventually gets the advantage with a dropkick. Rush misses a charge and eats a boot and a bulldog. Jaiden then charges but gets pop-up powerbombed and Rush flies to the outside with a lope suicida. Side suplex by Rush and he launches Jaiden into the corner turnbuckles. Jaiden fights back out of the corner and launches Rush to the other corner and follows with a flying kick. Sunset flip gets two. Code Red gets two. Jaiden tries for the Plus Ultra Driver but Rush goes for the mask to worm out of it. Enzuigiri kick from Rush sends Jaiden flying into a pole outside. Black Thunder Bomb gets a close two for Lio Rush. Rush goes to the top, but changes his mind and hops down to choke away on Jaiden. Ace Crusher by Rush, and he holds on to hit another. Rush charges but gets caught and chokeslammed. Jaiden to the top and gets the Superhero Splash for two. Again to the top but nobody there, and Lio gets a spinning enzuigiri. Final Hour Frogsplash hits but only gets two. Rush drinks some ectoplasm to power up, but Jaiden gets a bicycle kick and Plus Ultra Driver for only one! Rush snaps the neck of Jaiden and gets another Final Hour Frogsplash for only two. Thought that was the finish. Lio gets a door and props it up in the corner. He freezes the referee and tosses Jaiden through the door, and German suplexes him through the door again. Another Final Hour Frogsplash follows, and the ref is awakened to count the three for Rush. ***1/4  Jaiden continues to impress.

Match Four: Trish Adora vs. Amira

Would really like to see Amira get a win here.  Amira with some armdrags and corner splash, but Adora gets a Bossman Slam backbreaker to halt the early flurry. Low bicycle kick by Adora followed by some chops. Amira fights back with some clotheslines and a spinebuster for two. To the top and a big crossbody gets two for Amira. German suplex from Adora with a bridge gets two. Samoan drop by Amira and goes for a piledriver but can’t get it. Adora drops her neck first across the knee for two. Full-nelson slam gets two for Adora. Bicycle kick is avoided and Amira hits Misery Business for the win!  ***  This was a fun, fast-paced match and Amira makes a great babyface.

Match Five: Kevin Blackwood vs. Mustafa Ali

Aubrey Edwards from AEW is the referee for this one. Blackwood recently won the West Coast Pro Championship, and Ali is still the TNA X-Division champion. We get some chain wrestling to start with Ali getting the advantage with a hurricanrana. Quick rollup gets two, but Blackwood cuts off the offensive flurry of Ali with a stiff clothesline. Ali gets tossed head first into the corner buckle and gets busted open. Ali tries to come back with a cutter but Blackwood cuts him off out of mid-air. Kick to the chest by Blackwood. A second one is caught and Ali gets a spinning heel kick. Off the ropes, Ali runs into another clothesline from Blackwood. To the top, Ali headbutts Blackwood down and hits a flipping clothesline. Rolling neckbreaker and German suplex gets two. Tornado DDT from Ali and a tope suicida. Another rolling neckbreaker is stopped with a double footstomp from Blackwood. Blackwood goes to the top but gets tripped and then German suplexed onto the apron. Ali to the top and hits a 450 splash that only gets two. To the top again where the 450 misses this time, and Blackwood gets a Helluva kick in the corner. Avalanche back suplex by Blackwood. Top rope double footstomp gets only two for Blackwood. Ali reverses a powerbomb attempt into a sharpshooter, but Blackwood rolls through and hooks a sleeper. Ali manages to counter that with a mousetrap pin for the win.  ****  Another really good, quick paced match. Both guys are super smooth.

Match Six: Akira vs. Minoru Suzuki

Akira tries for a handshake and that doesn’t work. Suzuki goes for the fingers and stomps the elbow of Akira. Akira catches a kick and tries for a leglock. A stalemate is reached and they exchange strikes sending Suzuki to the apron, where he catches Akira in an armbar. They battle it out on the floor and some biting ensues. Chops by Suzuki as they head back inside, where Suzuki gets a kick to the back for two. Single-leg Boston Crab but Akira gets to the ropes. The fans chant “we want murder” which is frightening, as Akira gets a pair of dragonscrew legwhips and a Saito suplex. Running penalty kick gets two for Akira. Suzuki gets his own for two. Akira lays in the forearms but Suzuki feels nothing and lands a big forearm sending Akira to the mat. More forearms and Suzuki gets a sleeper, then gets another from the top rope, hanging Akira. Akira gets a Pele kick and an armbar/kimura type hold. German suplex with a bridge gets two. Akira goes for the Gotch piledriver but Suzuki reverses out of it and gets the sleeper once more. Gotch piledriver by Suzuki gets the win.  **1/2

Match Seven: Miyu Yamashita vs. Kylie Rae

It’s really good to see the streamer tossing be a thing again on the indies. We get an early test of strength battle which winds up even. Kylie with a kick to the back, but Miyu follows with her own. Kylie with a side suplex for two and ties up Miyu in the ropes, playing slight heel in the match so far. Irish whip to Miyu who comes back with a lariat to take over. Bicycle kick in the corner connects as we head to the outside. We get a streamer choke by Miyu and another kick to the back as we head back inside the ring. Miyu stomps a mudhole but runs into a boot and superkick for two. Another super kick connects for Kylie, but Miyu gets a high kick of her own and both women are down. They fight it out and Kylie hits a big right hand. Corner cannonball gets two for Kylie. Miyu comes back with a Disaster Kick, but Kylie gets a side Russian legsweep and transitions into a crossface. Another superkick hits but this time for only one. Kylie Special misses, and a straight kick to the head from Miyu gets two. Skull kick connects for the win for Miyu. Another very enjoyable match.  ***  Hopefully we see Kylie Rae back in Prestige again in the near future.

Match Eight: Bullet Club War Dogs (Connors, Finlay and Kidd) vs. C420 (Chhun, Rosas and Sonico)

The BC attacks before the bell and make it a War Dogs match, which is no tags, no count out and no DQ. The babyfaces make their comeback and we’ve got split screen cameras all over the arena for some brawling. Chhun is able to avoid a triple powerbomb and Sonico takes out the War Dogs on the floor with a tope. C420 continues the attack inside the ring, but Connors takes out the knee of Rosas to get the heels back on the offensive. Triple teaming continues but Rosas fights them off as Sonico enters with a crossbody. Double superkick on Finlay, followed by a suplex/dropkick combo for two. Kidd dives in on Chhun and goes to work. Brainbuster gets two. Spear/suplex combo by the War Dogs gets two. Triple powerbomb on Chhun but he is able to kick out at two. Finlay with a tossing suplex on Sonico, but Sonico gets a backsldie for two. Finlay with an Irish Curse backbreaker for two. Sonico manages a springboard splash and now the babyfaces get to do some triple teaming. High/low gets two on Finlay. Rosas and Kidd slug it out ending with a Lariat from Kidd. Piledriver connects on Rosas and Finaly gets a Dominator on Sonico. Cody Cutter on Connors gets a close two for C420. Connors with a big spear and brainbuster to finish Chhun as the BC War Dogs get the win.  **3/4  Started with some generic brawling but got much better in the second half.

Main Event: Zack Sabre Jr vs. Daniel Makabe

Pretty neat for Makabe to be able to main event this show against Sabre in his final year in wrestling. As expected, we gets some mat wrestling to start. Headscissors battle next, and Sabre transitions to a leglock. Then a cross armbreaker which winds up in a clean break. More mat exchanges and they work to a stalemate. Sabre gets a straightjacket but Makabe rolls through to get his own. Uppercuts from Sabre, but again Makabe responds with his own. Makabe Lock is attempted but Sabre rolls out of that and stomps on the left arm. That allows Sabre to focus on the arm for the next few minutes. Makabe manages a dragonscrew legwhip to slow down the onslaught. Suplex with a bridge gets two for Makabe. They trade leglocks and that ends with Sabre rocking Makabe in the face with a kick. DVD by Makabe and he puts on the Makabe Lock, but he can’t keep the hold. Sabre gets the Octopus hold and Makabe counters with a dragonscrew. Another attempt is blocked by Sabre with a twist of the left arm. PK from Sabre is blocked and he tries the Makabe Lock but Sabre traps him in a pin for two. Strikes come next leading to Sabre getting both of Makabe’s arms trapped. He tries for the ropes with his feet, but Sabre traps those too and Makabe has no choice but to give up. A very solid technical matchup as we all knew it would be.  ***1/4

Final Thoughts:  Prestige Wrestling puts together a really good show once again.  It was a nice mix of styles between technical wrestling, brawling and fast-paced all-action matches.  I thought Ali/Blackwood was the match of the night, but the tag matches and women’s matches both were very strong.  As per usual, this is worth the watch on IWTV.
