– First off this week we would like to thank all the fans who have made the first quarter of 2011 a very successful one. We’ve had some great crowds and the fans are spreading the word about the company. We’re just getting started. Now on to the news.

– If you haven’t heard by now there have been some changes to the 5/13 “EPIC” show at 115 Bourbon St. Dennis Rodman was forced to cancel his appearance due to commitments made after his NBA HOF induction. Our congrats to the “Worm”. Also Scott Hall’s appearance was cancelled. We wish Scott the best and hope to work with him in the future. We have now announced that ECW legend Sabu will be on the card as well as the BWO. Sabu will be in singles action against an opponent yet to be named as will Stevie Richards. Blue Meanie and Nova will be in tag team action. Stay tuned to www.AAWrestling.com for more announcements on the card and to pre order tickets in the merchandise section for this huge event!

-As if that wasn’t enough AAW announced earlier this week that Chicago’s own Billy Corgan of The Smashing Pumpkins will be at “EPIC”. Corgan is a lifelong wrestling fan who has made appearances for ECW and TNA. Now he is coming to AAW and he says he has an announcement for the fans regarding the company. Let the speculation begin.

– AAW is happy to announce we are entering the IPPV market with one of the industry leaders; Go Fight Live. The 5/13 Bourbon St show will be an IPPV taping and will be available approximately a week after the event at www.gfl.tv . You can check out some exclusive FREE content right now including the much talked about Shane Hollister vs. Davey Richards match at this link http://www.gfl.tv/priv/showSearc…sownersId=

– Dan Lawrence shocked the world at the 7th Anniversary show when he defeated Silas Young and ended his 16 month AAW Heavyweight Title reign. With the win Lawrence became the second man to win the AAW Triple Crown. DL then survived his first defense against Keith Walker last weekend and challengers are lining up for Lawrence heading into the summer.

– Speaking of Keith Walker, he and Truth Martini’s brutal attack on Joey Eastman back in February came back to bite them last weekend as Eastman made a surprise return during Walker’s title match against Dan Lawrence. Walker seemingly had the title won when Eastman hit the ring and punched the referee leading to a rare DQ and a blown opportunity for Walker. Eastman then returned later and called out Martini and “The Human Massacre” but he had back up in the form of Chris “The Madness” Hall. This issue seems far from over and rumor has it Martini is looking to add new members to the “House of Truth”.

– We have a new AAW Heritage Champion in Mason Beck after he defeated Shane Hollister in a double jeopardy tag match last weekend. Beck has taken his game to a new level since joining forces with Silas Young and is poised to have a break out year.

– There is some controversy over the AAW Tag Team Title belts after last weekend as Zero Gravity successfully defended the titles against the Irish Airborne. Post match the Crist brothers snapped and brutally attacked Esparza and Gakiya and then left the building with the straps. AAW Chief Operating Officer Kevin Harvey has ordered a Ladder Match for 5/13 at “EPIC” where the titles will be suspended high above the ring. Knowing what these four men are capable of and with the stakes high this match may be one of the most breath taking in the history of the company.

-Now for some injury news. Matt “Krotch” Mayday suffered a concussion after being slammed on to a steel chair last weekend by The CLASH. Mayday may miss most of the summer. MsChif is also dealing with an injured knee. She hopes to be back in the ring by 5/13 to take on Mena Libra but she may not be medically cleared.

– Jimmy Jacobs picked up an impressive win over Michael Elgin last Saturday night. Jacobs now gets a shot at revenge when he gets Arik Cannon one on one at “EPIC”. Cannon chose to make a statement at Jacob’s expense and cost him his final shot at the AAW Heavyweight Title back in March. These two are no strangers to each other and this one could turn into an all out brawl.
