Yoshino hits the Torbellino. Kanda blocks the Sol Naciente and hits the German suplex for the win at 8:52 shown of 11:57. Well, that’s the upset of the century. The crowd is way into it because Kanda had been racking up wins leading to this match and actually outwrestled Yoshino at just about every turn here. I’m impressed.

PAC vs. Dragon Kid {BW} [Opening Round Match]
PAC works the arm to start. He makes Kid look like an amateur with his expert reversals. He hits a dropkick. Kid hits a head scissor takedown to the floor. He stops PAC from getting back in the ring with the 619 and then hits the Bermuda Triangle. PAC comes back with a backbreaker and a standing SSP to the back. He hits a northern lights suplex for 2. He puts on a chinlock. Kid fakes PAC out and hits a head scissor takedown. He hits another on the floor. He hits a springboard dropkick for 2. PAC returns the favor. They fight up top until Kid hits the Frankensteiner. That took way to long to set up, but it gets 2 regardless. PAC hits a buzzsaw kick and a German suplex for 2. He misses a shooting star press and Kid hits the Messiah. He hits the Ultra Hurricanrana for 2. PAC hits a high kick up top. He hits the Cyclorama for 2. The 360 shooting star press hits knees. PAC immediately recovers and hits an enziguiri. Kid comes back with the Bible for the win at 9:04 shown of 11:56. The finish was a cool way to end a pretty solid match between these two. Neither busted out anything extraordinary, but in round one they really didn’t need to.

After the match Ricochet attacks PAC. Kid tries to stop him and gets roughed up as a result. In the back CIMA tries to calm things down. Ricochet is going after PAC’s Brave Gate title.

Gamma {BW} vs. Cyber Kong {K} [Opening Round Match] ends when Kong fights through a low blow and the Gamma Special to hit two Pineapple Bombers and the Cyber Bomb for the win. In the back Kong talks about the issue of whether or not Kamikaze will be joining Mochizuki’s new team.

Masaaki Mochizuki vs. Shingo Takagi {K} [Opening Round Match]
I believe the last time these two fought was when Mochizuki was briefly the FIP Champion

and was defending that belt successfully in Japan. Now Takagi is testing Mochizuki to see if he’s a worthy leader. Takagi unloads on Mochizuki at the bell. He hits a vertical suplex. Mochizuki sweeps the leg and hits the apron kick. That does nothing to Takagi, who hits the DVD on the apron. He hits a double stomp. Mochizuki goes after the arm with a pair of crazy kicks. He kicks Takagi’s arm against the post. More kicks to the arm keep Takagi writhing in pain. Mochizuki hits an axe kick and a big boot. Takagi hits a shoulder tackle. He tries chopping but Mochizuki easily regains control. He shrugs off a lariat and hits a big boot. He hits a Tree of Woe punt. He hits a chest kick for 2. He puts on an armbar. Takagi comes back with the dead lift vertical suplex. Mochizuki repeatedly blocks Takagi’s lariats, hurting his arm. He hits a few armbreakers. He puts on a cross armbreaker. Takagi uses everything he has to hit a one-armed powerbomb to escape. Mochizuki blocks MADE IN JAPAN and hits a back heel kick.. He hits the Ikkakugeri. Takagi blocks the Sankakugeri. He hits the Blood Fall into the corner, and then tries for real. Mochizuki blocks it and hits a quick kick but Takagi rebounds with a quick lariat. Mochizuki absorbs Takagi’s lariats and lays in chest kicks. Takagi finally gets some traction with the Pumping Bomber. It only gets 2. Mochizuki counters the STAY DREAM to an avalanche bulldog. He kicks Takagi’s head off for 2. He hits the Saikyou High Kick. Takagi fires back with elbows. They go blow for blow with some huge shots. Mochizuki hits the Saikyou High Kick but Takagi rebounds with the Pumping Bomber. Takagi hits MADE IN JAPAN for 2. He tries again but has to settle for a gutbuster. Mochizuki hits a few nasty kicks. Takagi hits the Pumping Bomber. Mochizuki hits the Shing Saikyou High Kick. Takagi hits another lariat but Mochizuki rebounds with a jumping high kick. Both guys are down so the referee starts to count. Mochizuki gets to his feet at 9 and with Takagi still hanging in the ropes Mochizuki gets the win at 14:49 shown of 18:18. This was a beautifully worked match. Takagi’s aggression here was no match for Mochizuki’s precision. This was actually a lot more one-sided than I expected, with Takagi taking abuse (and really selling a lot better than usual) for the majority of the match. After giving Mochizuki so much it was clever the way they kept Takagi strong using that finish. Now if only American wrestling companies gave us TV main events this good.

After the match the Blood Warriors run in and attack Mochizuki. Yoshino and YAMATO make the save. More Blood Warriors attack, this time with Takagi as their focus. BxB Hulk of all people makes the save. He and Takagi still want nothing to do with each other and start shoving. Mochizuki physically forces them to shake hands but that doesn’t make them happy either. Genki Horiguchi gets on the microphone and tells Hulk and Takagi to face Maraha Isappa. Takagi is loopy but seems game. CIMA gets on the microphone and points and Kanda and Naruki Doi, asking any non-Warrior to face the three of them. Yoshino suggests that it be himself, YAMATO and Mochizuki. YAMATO agrees to it. Both matches will happen on June 8th.

In the King of Gate tournament, Mochizuki moves on to fight Kong while Kid will fight Kanda.

The show ends with clips of Genki Horiguchi {BW} & Ryo Saito {BW} vs. Taku Iwasa {K} & Kenichiro Arai. Saito hits Iwasa with three dragon suplexes to get the win.

In the back Takagi cuts a promo about Kamikaze. The day after this show, Takagi would announce that Kamikaze was no more and that he and YAMATO were officially aligning with Mochizuki. Both of them having been bested by the champion, this made a good deal of sense. Iwasa and KAGETORA had given Takagi their blessing, but Kong had not. That might be something to watch.
