-Taped from Berwyn, Illinois

-Your hosts are Phil Colvin and a cast of thousands. This was like a PWG show.

-Ryan Boz interrupts the preshow and starts the show off hot and heavy by beating up two competitors that were in the ring. Boz wants his match with Silas Young, but it’s still not happening. AAW champion Silas Young saunters out. He rightly points out Boz’ injury history as the main reason Boz doesn’t deserve an AAW title match. Boz and Young brawl. Boz eventually stretches the champion out. Mason Beck’s boot is the only thing that prevents Young from taking a Boz driver. Kevin Harvey comes out. Beck carries Young to the back. Harvey vows a Young/Boz match will happen soon.

-Ryland Foxx interviews Shane Hollister. He points out the big loss Hollister had at Scars and Stripes against Mason Beck. Hollister promises victory, and Foxx brings up a huge match that will take place at Defining Moment. Shane Holliister vs. Alex Shelley. Hollister promises to go for the AAW heavyweight title.

-Louis Lyndon vs. Shane Hollister

Match in Five Words or Less: Upset City

Match Summary/Analysis: Back and forth to start as we see a great deal of quickness from both men. Very clean work since it’s a battle of babyfaces. Lyndon takes Hollister down with his legs and hits a flying kick. Hollister meets Lyndon’s dive with a forearm. Octopus into a roll-up for two. Hollister crotches Lyndon and puts him in the tree of woe. Hesitation dropkick. Hollister comes back with a hard elbow. Announcers continue to mention Hollister picking up his intensity. As I type this, he hits a hard right hand. Pair of huge kicks by Lyndon. Leg kicks by Hollister. Lyndon hits a dragon screw legship. Hollister powders but not far enough to avoid a dive. Lyndon kicks Hollister down. Moonsault met with knees. Running knee. 1-2-NO! Powerbomb right into the pinfall. 1-2-NO! Knees by Lyndon. Hollister hits a shot to the back of Lyndon’s head. Lyndon grabs Hollister’s leg and nails him in the head. Dragon suplex. 1-2-NO! Chinbreaker by Hollister. Brainbuster into an acecrusher for two. They sure aren’t leaving anything in the back. Kick misses. Palm strikes by Lyndon. Strikes by Hollister. Roll-up exchange ends with Lyndon on top for a three count. That was a hell of an opener from these two. I liked the twist ending too as Lyndon gets a big victory, and Hollister is on a losing streak. Be interesting to see how this angle devlelops. Hollister has been around a long time in AAW, and it seems like he’s either got to win the heavyweight title or get stuck in a rut.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: Louis Lyndon/10:40/***1/4

-Clash promo interrupted by Joey Eastman’s talking loudly to Danny Daniels. Skyy face washes Eastman. Daniels tries to defend Eastman. He ends up slapping Skyy in the face. Clash eventually overcome Daniels and beat him down. Eastman and Daniels are down. Truth Martini and Keith Walker walk by. They each laugh menacingly. Martini reads from The Book of Truth.

Christian Faith vs. Austin Mannix

Match in Five Words or Less: Reach Out And Touch Faith

Match Summary/Analysis: Hopefully Mannix lasts longer than the 55 seconds he did against Boz. Back drop into a kick from Faith. Dive misses but he lands on his feet. Second attempt hits. VIOLENCE PARTY! Token offense from Mannix. Round house kick followed by a senton. After a two count, Faith misses a discus forearm. Death valley driver for two. Mannix drops Faith face first. Frog splash gets two. Mannix rips at Faith’s mask. Discus forearm finally gets Faith a victory. Just a match to put Faith over. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: Christian Faith/4:48/*

-Marion Fontaine and Keith Walker filmed an angle at Bourbon Street back on July 29, 2011. Fontaine talks some garbage on the stage before Walker (rightfully in my view) threatens to kick his ass. They roll around. Walker appears to legit slap Fontaine in the face twice.

-T.D. Thomas vs. Keith Walker (w/Truth Martini)

Match in Five Words or Less: Surprising And Long

Match Summary/Analysis: Thomas doesn’t even get an entrance, so that should naturally set him up to be killed, right? Wrong. I’ve seen Thomas on some Clash shows, and he’s looked pretty good. He’s got some athleticism and can wrestle like a robot. Martini talks about one of my favorite subjects, karma. He even gets the idiots chanting “What?” to shut their mouths. How do 10 year WWE veterans get thrown off by those chants, but Truth Martini doesn’t? After a quick pep talk, we’re finally underway. Chops from Walker but Thomas shows spunk. Low bridge followed by a dive to the outside. Hand spring elbow by Thomas. After some forearms, Walker whips Thomas. Boot up but Walker bucklebombs his opponent. Martini interjects himself. Backbreaker by Walker gets two. Splash in the corner. Walker places Thomas on the top rope. Thomas battles out of a superplex and knocks his opponent down. Dropkick off the top rope. Slingblade gets two. Forearm by Walker. Thomas out of a chokeslam. Tornado DDT gets two. Thomas goes for Martini and almost gets German suplexed out of the ring. LARIAT! 1-2-done. On the one hand, Thomas showed quite a bit in a losing effort, but on the other hand, this match went a couple minutes too long and had some slowish spots.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: Keith Walker/10:14/**1/2

-Walker punches Thomas in the face one more time.

-Arik Cannon brags about beating Jacobs twice but now has to face Steve Corino in the main event. Cannon tells Jacobs he has to face Mason Beck.

-AAW Heritage Championship: Mason Beck vs. Jimmy Jacobs

Match in Five Words or Less: Beck… Still A Monster

Match Summary/Analysis: The only reason Jacobs would appear to have a title match is because Cannon pulled some strings. Jacobs hears the “Uncle Jesse” chants and finally responds with a Full House reference. I cannot believe I got that reference. Back in the ring. Beck controls with some power stuff. Headscissors takes Beck over. Clothesline takes the challenger down. Jacobs low bridges but gets caught. Slam into two sides of the rail. More power moves from Beck. Clothesline by Jacobs no sold. Dropkick to the knees. Sunset flip. Beck sits down, but Jacobs moves. Contra code countered. Boot misses. Jumping acecrusher for two. Beck hits a fallaway slam. Jacobs out of Beck Mountain. Contra Code but Beck kicks out. End time charge met with a boot. Beck Mountain. Ryan Boz runs in for the attack. Boz tosses one referee out and then Boz slams another. Referee has no choice but to toss the contest out. I was enjoying this match until the finish. Beck once again controlled more than half the match, yet Jacobs didn’t come off like a total jobber tonight.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: No-contest/9:35/***

-Sassy Stephie knows what the dirty men of AAW want, the first ever loss to a female on MsChif. Five star promo. She went for the tease and then didn’t deliver like a good heel should.

-Hollywood Vine w/Ryland Foxx- His guest is former AAW champion Dan Lawrence. Foxx calls out Lawrence for losing the belt to Young at Scars and Stripes. Lawrence talks about being honored to be considered an AAW champion amongst all the great names who’ve already held the belt. Foxx annoys Lawrence with some of his comments about Young winning the title. Lawrence says no one has spilled more blood and done more in the Berwyn Eagles than him. Just as Lawrence is about to take out Foxx, Clash interrupts. Tommy Treznik calls Lawrence an alcoholic and the antithesis of what they’re trying to change about AAW. Lawrence takes out Skyy and Treznik by himself. Mena Libra comes from behind and hits a reverse DDT. Clash takes advantage. Treznik hits the Bus Driver to end the attack. Here comes Marion Fontaine, Darin Corbin, and Joey Eastman. I guess this is a match.

-Clash (Cameron Skyy and Tommy Treznik w/Mena Libra) vs. Marion Fontaine and Darin Corbin (w/Joey Eastman)

Match in Five Words or Less:

Match Summary/Analysis: Fontaine and Corbin clear the ring before focusing on Skyy. Treznik nails Corbin from behind. He turns his attention to Fontaine. Shenanigans ensue. Clash can’t seem to get it together, and the faces work together in tandem. Corbin breaks out a standing moonsault for the first time in Berwyn Eagles. Libra grabs Fontaine’s leg leading to Treznik hitting a neckbreaker. Heat segment on Fontaine. He rolls through and tags Corbin after being worked over briefly. Nice series of moves before Skyy takes him down. Clash brings the Demolition Decapitation out of mothballs. Corbin goes Spiderman in order to make the tag. Fontaine uses Treznik’s tie to his advantage. Bridging suplex for two on Skyy. Blind tag into a double clothesline. Skyy gets a shoulder block and into a sunset flip. Then we get one of the most epic spots of all time as everyone in the ring, including the referee, gets hit in the groinal era. Really needs to be seen to be believed. Clash goes after Eastman. He tries clotheslining both men. Eastman somehow stuns both men. Double small package for two. Skyy follows him and hits a swinging bulldog. Corbin hits the Skullcrushing Finale. Treznik counters. Fontaine superkicks him, and Corbin gets the three count. Very fun tag team match. Corbin broke out a lot of unique offense, and Fontaine has turned into a very good partner. I like this team, and Eastman definitely adds some fun to the duo. I’ve walked out of both tag matches with a smile on my face. Maybe they’re not main eventers, but they’re a fun midcard act.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: Darin Corbin and Marion Fontaine/10:31/***

-Irish Airborne came all the way to Berwyn only to find out they’ve been barred from the building. They have nothing but confidence in the Awesome Threesome retaining the AAW tag team titles. The plot thickens.

AAW Tag Team Championship: The Awesome Threesome (Jordan McEntyre and Knight Wagner w/Eryn) vs. Zero Gravity (Bret Gakiya and CJ Esparza)

Match in Five Words or Less: SHENANIGANS!

Match Summary/Analysis: Champions go after the challengers right away. Esparza sends both men over by himself. Double dives. Quite the hot start to the match. Champions cheat their way to an advantage. McEntyre sits down and hits the mat. Esparza takes McEntyre out. He puts Eryn on front of him. Heels work over Esparza. Drop toehold on McEntyre into the corner. Tag to Gakiya. Vicious kicks on McEntyre in the corner. Gutwrench powerbomb by McEntyre on Esparza. Series of counters leads to a backbreaker by Wagner on Esparza. Gakiya hits a dropkick out of mid air. Esparza hits a falcon arrow off the top rope. Gakiya splashes Wagner. McEntyre breaks the count just in time. McEntyre kicks Esparza out of the ring. Hard chops by Gakiya. More counters. McEntyre goes gut first into Esparza’s knee. Double superkicks. Eryn distracts the referee, so no cover can be made. McEntyre tosses outside again. Assisted moonsault off the top. Masked men come out of the crowd. Esparza is crotches by one of them. Double penetration gets the Awesome Threesome the victory. An inoffensive contest that was just average. Neither team looked extraordinary. Awesome Threesome hasn’t exactly lit the world on fire during their title reign.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: STILL AAW Tag team Champions- The Awesome Threesome/9:05/**1/4

-Sassy Stephanie vs. MsChif

Match in Five Words or Less: Sassy and Mischievous

Match Summary/Analysis: AAW deserves credit for trying to get women’s wrestling over despite the crowd never seeming to be all that excited for it. And again, this is the same building where Shimmer runs. Quick knee, whip, and lariat into the corner. Stranglehold into a backbreaker followed by a clothesline. Suplex and a quick two count. Suplex of her own into a chokehold. More neck work. Charge but MsChif screams. Side slam and a one foot cover. MsChif applies a submission hold. Nice standing moonsault into a roll-up for two. Another toehold as MsChif guillotines into the top rope. Running kick. Rydian bomb for two by MsChif. Stephanie shoves MsChif down and hits a crossbody. 1-2-no. Shot to the gut and a pumphandle DDT. MsChif picks up the victory. Quick little match to restablish MsChif.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: MsChif/5:42/**

-Mena Libra comes out to confront MsChif. Sassy Stephanie attacks from behind. Double team on MsChif. Libra clotheslines Stephanie. MsChif drops Libra face first before hitting a final cut on Stephanie. Promo time. Oh no. MsChif is tired of Libra and challenges her to a six woman tag for Defining Moment, which coincidentally comes the night before a Shimmer double shot. Libra begrudgingly accepts.

-Jesse Emerson still has a pending lawsuit against the Berwyn Eagles, and it may not be too long before AAW is longer able to run their shows there. We’ll see where this storyline goes and if AAW does indeed stop running shows there.

-AAW Heavyweight Championship: Silas Young (w/Val Malone)(champion) vs. Gregory Iron

Match in Five Words or Less: Handicapable Indeed

Match Summary/Analysis: Young makes fun of the fans before the match because he’s a jerk. He also makes it clear it was his choice to give Iron a championship match. He doesn’t go nearly as far as guys like Icarus have in the past in making fun of his handicap. Young maintained his creepy moustache another month. So proud of him for that. He controls the early part of the match in a rather non-chalant manner. Iron is only able to get a couple roll-ups between punishment. Iron sends the champion outside the ring. Malone stands in front to prevent her man from being dived upon. Doesn’t work. Iron hits the dive. He misses a move off the top. Young slows the pace back down. Strikes by Iron and they take a tour of ringside. Young rams Iron in the rail. Young focuses on Iron’s bad arm, even pulling at his fingers. Champion toys with the challenger once again. Series of right hands into a cover. Crowd gets behind Iron. Sunset flip into a low dropkick by Iron. Sleeper by the champion. Chinbreaker leads to Young hooking himself on the top rope. Iron dumps him. Tope suicida. Young rams Iron in the corner. Boot up and a headscissors. Victory roll gets two. Clotheslines in the corner. Iron slaps the champion down. Senton off the top gets two. Iron tunes up the band and goes for a pimp slap. Backbreaker/clothesline combination. 1-2-NO! Submission hold, similar to the Gargano Escape. Iron puts his foot on the bottom rope. Lots of trash talk and paint brushes. Iron fires back with one of his own. Gutwrench powerbomb COUNTERED INTO A SUNSET BOMB! 1-2-NO! Young sends Iron into the corner. Handful of tights but onlt a two count. LARIAT! 1-2-NO! Young goes for a chair and hits Iron’s affected arm. Iron counters a Nagasaki roll into a tornado DDT on the chair. Val Malone jumps on the apron. Iron tells her to get off. Drapes him across the top rope. Nagasaki roll into the Pee Gee Waja Plunge and the victory. Both guys played their roles to perfection. Young was such an awesome heel. He didn’t do a single redeemable things in this match and because of that, the crowd fully embraced Iron as a babyface. Also, Gregory Iron isn’t a good handicap wrestler, he’s a good wrestler. He’s got very good timing on his comebacks and great facial reactions. Then, in one of the greatest things I’ve seen all year, Iron gets a spontaneous standing ovation from the Berwyn faithful. Very good stuff all around.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: STILL AAW Heavyweight Champion-Silas Young/21:51/***1/2

-Arik Cannon vs. Steve Corino

Match in Five Words or Less: Battle Of The Chubbies

Match Summary/Analysis: Corino makes reference to CM Punk being there the previous month and now having to follow him. Cheap pop as he points out how great the fans of Berwyn are. He then threatens Dave Prazak’s anus. Feeling out process. Shoving match into a slapfest. Corino sends Cannon to the outside and brawls with him. Next up is fun with the ring bell. You know the drill. At least Corino isn’t trying to “recover” from anything in this promotion. Corino preps his thumb. Prazak leaps on the apron. Corino gives chase. Right hand into the post. Cannon sends the same arm into the apron and stairs. Quick forearm by Corino. Hotshot across the top rope. Cannon maintains the advantage with various moves, some more underhanded than others. Acecrusher out of nowhere by Corino. Forearm exchange. Corino finally knocks him down. Whip and chop in the corner. Another whip and chop. Ten punches in the corner. Boot of the corner followed by an STO. 1-2-no. Backbreaker and a running knee. Backdrop driver into a bridge for two. Roll-up by Cannon gets two. Knee to the gut and a flatliner. 1-2-NO! Corino gives a thumbs up. I think it’s time. Abdominal stretch and a thumb to the… it’s too injured. Left arm lariat. Prazak pulls the referee out of the ring. Jacobs, who was at the announce position, takes Prazak out. Superkick to the stomach of Corino. Forearm into Total Anarchy. 1-2-NO! Shots by Corino. Misdirection and one more big lariat by Corino. Series of misses. Superkick to the face by Cannon. Brainbuster gets 2.5. Glimmering warlock gets Cannon a clean win. Not a spectacular classic main event but these 22 minutes surprisingly flew by. Both guys are pros who know exactly how to have a good match.

Winner (s)/Time/Rating: Arik Cannon/22:05/***1/4

-Jacobs comes back out. Corino comes from behind and delivers a thumb to the bum. He cuts a promo after the match and responds to some fans chanting for Rhino. He asks to come back like a giant douchebag trying to book himself. Jacobs says Corino was his favorite wrestler when he was 15 years old.

-MsChif cuts a promo that only reinforces why she should stick to screaming. She announces her partners, Jesse McKay and Neveah

-Clash wants to have a chat with Austin Mannix. The plot thickens.

Line of the Night: Steve Corino to one Dave Prazak, “I’ve got a thumb and it’s got an achin… for your anus.”

Finish of the Night: There were not a lot of good finishes on this show. I’ll go with the opener by default since Lyndon got a nice upset and it made sense how he got the victory.

MVP: Silas Young carried Gregory Iron to an awesome match. I could have watched those two work all night because both guys knew their roles so well.

The Verdict: An excellent semi- main event paces the show and makes Reign of Violence a solid thumbs up. Cannon and Corino was solid. The opener may have been one of the best in any promotion so far this year. Definitely make sure to check out AAW’s Reign of Violence if you get a chance.
