Ryo Saito © {BW} & Genki Horiguchi © {BW} vs. Dragon Kid {J3} & PAC {J3} [Open the Twin Gate Championship Match]
Kid and PAC beat Saito and Ricochet in a tag match a few weeks prior to earn this shot. They hit stereo dropkicks to start. Saito whips Kid into the post. Everyone brawls around the building. In the ring Horiguchi hits Kid with an elbow. Saito hits a legdrop for 2. The clipping becomes obvious as the ring announcer states that ten minutes have passed, though I’ve only seen three. MARAHA! ISAPPA! Saito hits Kid with a double stomp off the top for 2. CIMA and Ricochet attack Kid on the floor. Horiguchi hits a snap suplex there. He hits another in the ring and Saito hits the Superfly Splash for 2. Horiguchi whips Kid into an exposed turnbuckle. Kid returns the favor. Saito blocks the 619 and Horiguchi hits a dropkick. Saito hits Kid with an overhead suplex. He hits the Fisherman Express. Kid hits a stunner. He hits the 619. He puts on the Christo. Saito hits a side slam to escape. Horiguchi hits a nutty sit-out powerbomb for 2. PAC hits Saito with an enziguiri. Kid hits the stack Frankensteiner for 2. PAC hits a Phoenix Splash off of the second rope for 2. Saito blocks the Mysterio Rana and Horiguchi hits a dropkick. Saito hits a German suplex. He German suplexes PAC into Kid. Horiguchi hits a brainbuster for 2. The Blood Warriors attack PAC in the corner. Junction Three does the same to Horiguchi. Shingo Takagi hits Horiguchi with the DVD. Kid hits the Messiah. PAC hits the 360 Shooting Star Press for 2 when Ricochet distracts the referee. PAC attacks Ricochet. CIMA hits Kid with a superkick and Saito hits a pair of dragon suplexes for 2. PAC saves Kid from the Double Cross. Horiguchi gets the Backslide from Hell on PAC for 2. Ricochet trips PAC and Gamma canes Horiguchi. Horiguchi gets the Backslide from Heaven on PAC for 2. Kid hits the Ultra Hurricanrana out of nowhere for the win and the titles at 12:47 shown of 20:57. Whereas in a lot of matches interference takes away from the drama, here it complimented it really well. Ricochet’s shots at PAC and Gamma’s revenge on the Blood Warriors were both welcome additions to the already exciting match.
Rating: ***¾

ochizuki © {J3} vs. Yasushi Kanda {BW} [Open the Dream Gate Championship Match]
They lock up to start. Mochizuki forces Kanda to the ropes. He avoids a cheap shot and hits a dropkick. He blocks a suicide dive and hits the SicK Kick from the floor. He hits a spinning back fist. Haven’t seen that from him before. He hits a bulldog and puts on a crossface. Kanda gets to the ropes. He opens up with elbows. He hits a blue box shot to the knee. He elbows it into Mochizuki’s face as well. He works the leg against the post and hits it with the blue box again. Mochizuki hits a high kick. Kanda dropkicks the leg. He hits a dragon screw and puts on a Figure 4 Leglock. Mochizuki tries to block with his hand but it’s no use. He does get to the ropes after being in the hold a long time. He kicks Kanda’s face but it does no damage. A chest kick is just as successful. Mochizuki blocks a shinbreaker with a knee to the face. He hits a Tree of Woe punt. He kicks the blue box out of Kanda’s hand and hits a quebrada. Old man’s breaking out the big guns with his kicks disabled. Back in the ring Kanda hits a side suplex. He punts Mochizuki’s leg and hits the Jon Woo off of the second rope for 2. Mochizuki comes back with a superplex. He kicks a pair of head kicks for 2. Looks like the selling portion of the match is over. He hits the Twister but grabs his leg upon landing. I guess the selling continues! Kanda hits a pair of exploders. Mochizuki blocks the German suplex and hits the Illusion. Kanda hits a Stun Gun. He blocks the Twister III and hits a German suplex for 2. The crowd bought that one. Kanda hits the flying elbowdrop and the Funky Sky Twister for 2. Mochizuki blocks the Ryus. Kanda blocks the Ikkakugeri but not a big boot. He throws Mochizuki by his leg. Mochizuki hits the Shin Saikyou High Kick for 2. He hits the Sankakugeri to the face for the win at 18:35 shown of 27:20. I like that his match wasn’t just a retread of their King of Gate match. It was quite the opposite actually, with Kanda knowing much better how to deal with his former partner. He did as good as anyone could expect him to do, and no better than was believable, which I sincerely appreciate.
Rating: ***½

After the match Mochizuki gets on the microphone and tells someone else to come out and challenge him. The lights go out, and when they come back on BxB Hulk is in the ring. He attacks Mochizuki and puts him down with the First Flash. He’ll take his title shot in Kobe.

We go back in time a bit to see Junction Three defeat the Blodo Warriors for the vacant Triangle Gate titles. Doi challenged them to a rematch immediately after. Later, he stole Yoshino’s Triangle Gate belt. He, Kanda and Cyber Kong will get their shot at the belts in Kobe.

Also in Kobe, Akira Tozawa will fight Shingo Takagi. He’s sore at the former Kamikaze leader for his treatment in that group, and he’s made targeting Takagi and YAMATO his mission. He’s already pinned Takagi once, in a tag match, and looks to do the same on the biggest PPV of the year. This is a very interesting match, as Tozawa has just returned from a tour of America similar to the one Takagi took just before he became a Dragon Gate main eventer.

And as a reminder, Hulk will take on Mochizuki for the Dream Gate and PK-1 will take on the Spiked Mohicans for the Twin Gate Championships. Also on the show:

-Taku Iwasa & Kenichiro Arai vs. KAGETORA & Super Shisa
-Ryo Saito & Genki Horiguchi vs. Rich Swann & Susumu Yokosuka
-Don Fujii, Stalker Ichikawa & Yoshihiro Takayama vs. Naoki Tanisaki, Kzy & Tomahawk TT

Only one more episode of Infinity before Kobe!
