RESISTANCE Pro “VICIOUS CIRCLE” results
Friday February 17, 2012
The Excalibur, Chicago IL
Attendance: 300

1. Three Way “Pot Luck” Match: MATT CROSS defeated MR. 450 and RICOCHET in a “Pot Luck” 3 Way Dance when Cross pinned Ricochet after a shooting star press. Cross & Ricochet did fancy double team maneuvers together but Cross would not allow Ricochet to score the pinall. A very good showing by all three men. By winning, Matt Cross was able to choose a tag-team partner for the final open slot in the R-Pro tag title tournament. He chose fellow competitor Mr. 450 to be his partner at the next show.

2. STEVEN WALTERS defeated THE ALMIGHTY SHEIK (with RINALDO PIVEN) via disqualification when Shiek would not release the Camel Clutch after Walters made it to the ropes. The Almighty Sheik then viciously beat down Walters and powerbombed him on a guardrail.

3. Future Stars Match: “The Ego” ROBERT ANTHONY defeated JOHN SKYLER. Mr. Anthony took offense to being called a “Future Star” as he was very impressive once again.

4. Resistance Pro Tag Team Tournament – First Round Match: Lock Up (SUGE & EPIC with Warden Meyers and Da Boss) defeated Heaven and Hell (DANY ONLY & EDDIE GRAVES) with the Shawshank Termination (Samoan Drop Neckbreaker). After the match, Warden Meyers was pleased with the two men and his quest to take tag team gold back to the KOA Penatentary as both prisoners were locked back up by Da Boss.

5. RESISTANCE Pro Women’s Champion MELANIE CRUISE successfully defended her title against number one contender SASSY STEPHIE after interference from Cruise’s entourage “The Matrix” TAYLOR MADE and Ms. NIKKI (and her pup Sugar). Cruise originally claimed to have a knee injury, however it was fradulant until later in the match where the knee was tweaked. SERENITY came out of the crowd and dove from the second floor balcony on to “The Matrix” to even the odds, but the champion and her crew were too devious for Sassy Stephie to overcome. As Ms. Nikki hit a spear on Stephie which set up Melanie for a devastating maneuver to win (V1 defense).

6. “Lonesome” JAY BRADLEY defeated CHRIS CASTRO in under 10 seconds with a larieto. Bradley then challenged anyone in the crowd and Castro’s uncle the humongous CHRIS HALL answered the call. After a long struggle and an epic battle of two big boys, BRADLEY defeated “Uncle” CHRIS HALL with a vicious larieto. Bradley is now 4-0 in Resistance Pro.

7. Resistance Pro Tag Team Tournament – First Round Match: The Rock n’ Roll Express (RICKY MORTON & ROBERT GIBSON) defeated Kentucky Fried (ALEX CASTLE & MATT CAGE) after a double drop kick. Rock ‘n Roll Express ignited and delighted the crowd with their enthusiasm and had not lost a step at all.

8. RESISTANCE Pro Heavyweight Champion HARRY SMITH successfully defended his title against RHINO after Harry caught Rhino in a triangle choke after Rhino gored Harry. Fantastic main event. Rhino then challenged Smith to a rematch for the R-Pro title and put his own “title” up as collateral. The “title” was the World Heavyweight Championship he held in 2001 when the company folded. Creative Director BILLY CORGAN made the match a “Winner Takes All” battle at the March 23rd RESISTANCE Pro show “OBSESSION” at Excalibur in Chicago (V1 defense).
