What's going on wrestling fans. We're back with the final part of The Best of VWAA 2011 DVD review. You can check out Part 1 & Part 2 by clicking the links. We've had some awesome matches already and really for only $10 well worth the price for all the content and matches we've seen. Very impressed with this promotion and glad to have them on board as sponsors. We should have their first two events of 2012 DVD reviews up shortly as we recently added another team member to PWP and he will be putting those up on a regular basis so be on the look out for those. As an added bonus we will be doing some DVD giveaways also for VWAA fans or if you just want to check them out for the first time I highly recommend getting in now as they have some awesome stuff going on. But this is about 2011 and we're in the final stretch so let's kick it off.

Corvus/Keys vs Titan/Velazquez
The first thing off that I liked about this was that apparently this was taking place at a benefit show for the troops so kudos to these guys. Always supporting our troops and any promotion that can show that kind of generosity I am always behind but also these guys aren't taking it easy either. The four guys here though were impressive and this tag match was as close to a spectacle as you could do. Titan as VWAA Champion was the most impressive IMO of the four and that's what I want to see out of a champion, especially the main man of any promotion. But that's not to say that the rest of them took it easy. Velazquez pulled out a ton of innovative moves and if anything is the 2nd hardest worker on this entire DVD. Some very good tag work from Corvus & Keys as well. Titan & Velaquez take this one. A fun tag match that no doubt impressed all who were there.

Virgil Davis vs Joe Firoz

This could be seen as Firoz being the David to Davis' Goliath and really it's a mugging for most of the match. Joe is that kid you just want to pull for and the crowd is definitely showing the sympathy with chants of “Lets Go Joe!” Pretty decent comeback but in the end Davis got Firoz to tap out but it definitely made me want to see more of these two.

Cruise/Walsh vs Freek/Riley

This is the first time I've seen Freek but I'm already entertained as this guy is like a cross between Delirious and Yellow Dog. Some fun stuff here to start out and while I'm not entirely sure who Riley is, I'm not complaining as she is one striking redhead. Just saying. Anyway back to the action Freek is fun in the ring and with two guys in the old school Walsh and Cruise being obvious opposites this turns into a fun little match. A crowd pleasing tag to Jett Riley and damn she can go. She's really taking it to Cruise but the insertion of Walsh back into this match kills that momentum. An interesting occurrence of the power going out for a minute though allowed Jett to make her comeback and the tag to Freek. Good story telling in this match and a fun one at that. Jett gets the pin after Sliced Bread #2 and the crowd seems to love this.

Thomas Sinclair vs Amazin Kuan
Some good promo work here to start this match from Sinclair and man he really knows how to get the crowd angry at him. Amazin Kuan though is just a big bad bruiser and takes it so Sinclair right from the get go. I gotta say though that Kuan has a lot more in his bag than I was giving him credit for and this so far has been a great match. Definitely worth going out of your way to see. Kuan vanquishes Sinclair in a very impressive showing and I would suggest buying this DVD for sure.

VWAA Hardcore Kingship Throne Rules Match: Keys (C) vs Cruise vs Firoz vs Walsh
A multi man hardcore match? Looks like I'm going to be entertained for a bit. Cruise & Walsh who are generally team mates though aren't going to let that get in the way of a championship and while Keys plays it smart by trying to not get too involved right away, Firoz goes after him and brings him back to get a taste of the all the weapons being used. It's funny that just recently I was listening to Chris Shore of ProWrestling.net I believe talk about how in the past guys would come out in jeans and shirts when they were fighting in a hardcore match to show that this was a fight, not a wrestling match and 3/4 of the guys in this match are doing just that with the champ Keys the only guy out in his trunks and he's paying for that. A well done hardcore match that I think even some of the top indy promotions here could learn from. Cruise though would take home VWAA King of Hardcore title after some very good action.

Lamar Titan vs Matt Cross
Definitely the match I've been waiting to watch on here and with Matt Cross' resume speaking for itself it is good to see what Lamar Titan can do against a talent the caliber of M-Dogg 20. Both guys start this out with the classic feeling out process. For me Titan doesn't look place at all despite not being as well known to me as Cross but after watching this DVD I am more excited to see what Titan is going to do. As I said he's got a look similar to Kofi Kingston but is more aggressive and has the style I wish Kofi could have. Hard hitting mixed with some great athleticism and no doubt M-Dogg is going to also show what he does all over the world. But this is the match to go out of your way to see, if you don't believe me for any other match I said because you are not sure of the talent then for sure check out the DVD for this match. It is an awesome match and I would say it is 3.5-4 stars and this is from a guy who doesn't generally like to rate matches with star ratings just because it is so subjective. In the end Matt Cross showed why he's one of the best wrestlers on the indy circuit today and showcased what Lamar Titan is capable of and I hope you give this guy a chance and give VWAA a chance. I'm not going to spoil this match for ya as the end is just spectacular.
