PWX latest DVD release from May 5th, 2012 is Queen City Chaos: Grier Heights Street Fight. PWX returned to Charlotte with this brutal main event as Cedric Alexander & Rhett Titus continued their feud. This time Titus brought his ROH tag partner in the All Night Xpress, Kenny King and Alexander brought Team 7OH!4 teammate Caleb Konley for a war to settle all the scores. Also this DVD includes a great 4 team tournament to crown the first  PWX tag team champions in several years. The following is a review and report of all the action, Matches are rated 1-5 overall show is rated 1/10. This DVD is currently available at www.highspots.com along with many other great past events from Pro Wrestling Xperience
The following is………..

“Mr. Elite” Drew Myers vs Anthony Henry
Elite begins showcasing his mat wrestling and amateur wrestling skill, outmatching Henry in the early going. Henry though was able to come back and use his speed to overcome Myers strength. Henry hit a trio of armdrags and a elevated crossbody for a nearfall. Mr Elite blocked a fourth armdrag attempt and hit two overhead belly to belly suplexes, the second sent Henry outside the ring. Back inside Myers went for a german suplex but Henry rolled through and locked in a texas cloverleaf but Myers made it to the ropes. Henry went up top but missed on a very nice frogsplash, Myers then capitalized and hit a picture perfect bridging german suplex to pick up the win.

#1MansOpinion: Once again, Mr. Elite continues making his rounds, putting in the work at local shows and I see improvement each time. This was my first time I’d seen Anthony Henry live and I have to say he’s very good! Quick, technically proficient, I would definitely like to see more of him in the future. These two did a great job of getting the show started off on a high note with some pure wrestling. *** 1/2

PWX Tag Team Tournament Opening Matches
The Bravado Brothers(Harlem & Lancelot) vs The Great Outdoors(Grizzly Redwood & “The Manscout” Jake Manning)

Bravados come out with Carolina blue Tarheels ring gear on but the crowd is on them immediately in favor of the majorly over team of Redwood & Manning. The match begins and there is a feeling out process but The Great Outdoors take over on Harlem with good tag team wrestling and quick tags in and out. The Bravados get the advantage by double teaming Redwood behind the referee’s back. Good tag team wrestling from Harlem & Lancelot now with tandem back elbows and elbow drops. The Bravados keep Grizzly isolated and wear him down cutting the ring in half. Finally Grizzly gets the hot tag to Manning who comes in and takes out the Bravados, Manning misses a BME and Lancelot whips him into the ropes, Redwood makes a blind tag and hits a spear. Manning back up and hits a backbreaker/flatliner combo as Redwood nearly picks up the pinfall. Harlem then gets a perfect plex to almost pick up the win for the Bravados. This one is breaking down now as all four men are in and The Great Outdoors pick up the win with their Doomsday Bulldog with Grizzly pinning Harlem to advance to the tag finals.

#1MansOpinion: PWX continues to bring in great talent from the ROH territory to entertain. The Bravados(though wearing local colors and being from North Carolina) did a great job in drawing heat against the most popular tag team in PWX. The Great Outdoors are over from the moment they come out and there was some very nice tag team wrestling in this one. The ending really picked up and The Outdoors finisher is pretty cool to see. ***

“The Southern Savior” John Skyler & Aaron Epic vs “Do Or Die” Chip Day & Corey Hollis
Good back and forth between Skyler and Hollis to start this one with crisp, quick reversals and chain wrestling. Both men hit some of the nicest dropkicks you will see anywhere on one another, with Hollis getting the advantage for his team. Hollis & Day then hit lightning quick legdrops on Skyler who finally tagged in Aaron Epic. Hollis & Day continued utilizing tag team wrestling to keep the advantage as Day hit a suplex and Hollis hit a Guererro flip into the ring for a nearfall. Epic then isolated Hollis in his team’s corner and Skyler hit a very nice multiple revolution spinning side slam. All four men got in the ring and the action was very quick with dives, brutal kicks in the end Skyler went for “Sliced Bread” but Day rolled out and Hollis hit a “sliced bread Codebreaker” but Skyler kicked out at the last moment. Epic & Skyler then hit a very nice double team spinning DDT nearly picking up the win and advancing but in a miscalculation by the first time tag partners Epic hit Skyler and Hollis & Day hit a roaring elbow and Superkick to advance to the finals against Redwood & Manning.

#1MansOpinion: Very fast paced matchup here between four very talented guys. Hollis & Skyler are two of the more technically proficient young guys I’ve seen on the indies in awhile. Day’s kicks are brutal and he’s intense each and everytime you see him. This was my first time seeing Epic live and he’s very quick, I don’t feel he got to showcase even half of his talent in this one and I’d like to see more of him(possibly in a singles match) but this was a very good opening round matchup and as far as in ring talent you can’t ask for much more. *** 1/4

“Mean” Mike Posey vs Joey Janela
The two lockup and the match spills outside, they continue locking up around the outside ring area. Posey moves all the fans back to throw Janela into the ringside seats then just throws him back into the ring. Back in the ring Janela hits a facebuster and Posey hits 7 or 8 legdrops. Janela then hits a low blow and tries to pin Posey using the ropes but is caught by the referee. Another low blow, this time by Posey and he hits an elevated top rope legdrop for the win.

#1MansOpinion: This match did NOT work from start to finish. Crowd was dead with both guys being heel and not drawing much of a reaction of any kind. The in ring action just never got going, perhaps their styles were too similar. This came off as a “filler” match. * 1/2

Circo vs “Cinderella Man” Ernie Osiris
This was a grudge match stemming from last month when Marcellus King defeated Osiris with Circo’s outside interference. Circo attacked Osiris immediately and threw him outside hitting a dive seconds after the bell rung. Circo continued the beating outside throwing Osiris into the ringpost and hitting a suplex on the floor. Circo broke the count and set Ernie up on a ringside chair hitting a cannonball flip from the apron to the outside! Circo goes to take the action back in the ring but Osiris dropkicks him off the apron and hits a suicide dive over the top rope. Osiris didn’t stay in control long as Circo posted him rolled him back into the ring and hit a frogsplash elbow drop for a nearfall. Circo continued to control the match until Osiris hit a springboard, rolling spear. Osiris then completed the comeback with a twisting somersault leg drop picking up the win over Circo.

#1MansOpinion: Fast paced match from start to finish. Circo really dictated the pace to start off with the dives to the outside and staying right on top of of Osiris. Osiris really gets a chance to showcase his toughness and in ring talent in PWX and this match worked really well for me Circo attacked Osiris after the match and I would like to see this feud continue possibly with a tag match at one of PWX’s next shows *** 1/2

Jimmy Jack Funk Jr vs Zane Riley
This was a war as the former tag team partners brawled with one another shedding blood and not holding anything back. JJF was busted open hard way early on and from that point on it was a pure brawl with neither man being able to best their former partner despite what they did. Funk fought back with a nasty gash on the side of his head but in the end it was Riley who picked up the win via rollup.

#1MansOpinion: This was a good brawl but I enjoy the team of Dem Damn Texans as a unit and hope to see them together again soon.    JJF being busted open hard way added some emphasis to this one and the Texans are always entertaining alone or on their own. ***

PWX Tag Team Tournament Finals
The Great Outdoors(“The Manscout” Jake Manning & Grizzly Redwood) vs “Do or Die” Chip Day & Corey Hollis
The crowd was decidedly in favor of The Great Outdoors, though Day & Hollis had their fans as well. Grizzly Redwood was injured early and taken to the back to be evaluated so Jake Manning had to go it alone. Hollis & Day used brutal kicks, tagged in and out quickly and kept the fresh man on Jake who was alone for much of this one. Grizzly made his way back out with a bandaged shoulder and Jake hit a spear on Day, then tagged in Grizzly who cleaned house and The Great Outdoors hit the “Doomsday Bulldog” but The Bravados came out to break up the pin, as one Brother distracted the ref. Harlem Bravado hit Jake Manning with a chair and Chip Day, unaware of the interference pinned Manning as Day & Hollis became the first PWX Tag Team Champions in three years.

#1MansOpinion: I really liked the booking of this match and having Day & Hollis win the titles was the right call. The odds were against The Great Outdoors from the beginning with Redwood having to go to the back and “The ManScout” making a valiant effort against both Hollis & Day. Also the ending allows future opportunities for The Great Outdoors against the Bravados as PWX has promised to bring tag team wrestling back to prominence and did very well on May 5 by giving the titles to two very talented guys in Corey Hollis & Chip Day. ***

Grier Heights Street Fight
All Night Xpress(PWX Champion Rhett Titus & Kenny King) vs Team 7OH!4(Cedric Alexander & Caleb Konley)

PWX promised a brutal main event and that’s exactly what this was from start to finish. Team 7OH!4 charged the ring and controlled the match early dragging ANX up into the bleachers and the “plunder” was pulled out and used frequently throughout the night. Konley & Alexander used kendo sticks on Titus & King, ANX in turn hit vicious chair shots on 7OH!4. The brutality just did not stop in this one as the action spilled outside of the ring numerous times, the ring was littered with chairs, tables, kendo sticks, and other weaponry. The brutality is too countless to name over in a single review but in the end ANX brought in a table and attempted a superbomb on Konley, Alexander cut them off and Konley hit a tower suplex crashing onto the table with both members of the All Night Xpress. The table would NOT break, even after Titus set it up in the corner and launched Konley through it but in the end it was Team 7OH!4 that outlasted everyone picking up the win and getting a measure of revenge and a pint of blood from PWX champ Rhett Titus and his partner Kenny King.

#1MansOpinion: This match was great, everything it was promoted as and more.(and my MOTN) The 4 guys involved left everything out there and sacrificed their bodies to this street fight. Brutal table spots, hard kendo stick and chair shots, and blood shed. You can’t ask for more from a main event than these four delivered. **** 1/4

#1MansFINALOpinion: Another very good show from Premiere Wrestling Xperience who continue to bring in talents from all over the eastern U.S and beyond to entertain. PWX gave birth to a return of GREAT tag team wrestling and if you’re a fan of this lost art I suggest you check out QUEEN CITY CHAOS! With the additions of John Skyler, Aaron Epic, and Anthony Henry the future looks bright for PWX. The new talent additions are great in PWX add that to an already phenomenal core roster of guys like Rhett Titus, 7OH!4, JJF Jr, Zane Riley, Corey Hollis & Chip Day, Mr Elite and the rest of the talented roster and I highly reccommend you check out PWX when they are in a city near you. Obviously the Janela/Posey match will bring down my personal overall rating of this card so #1MansFINALOpinion of PWX Queen City Chaos is…
8/10
