This week: Mick Foley and CM Punk pick teams of five who, per tradition, will strive to survive at Survivor Series. Plus, John Cena takes time out of his busy schedule of being accused of an illicit affair to make a chairty donation, Sheamus takes time out of his busy schedule of being a loveable Irishman to remember he’s not champion anymore, a food fight and Behind The Music with the 3MB.

RAW

– Punk and Heyman opened the show, Punk with a limp and his ribs taped. Punk called everyone out for being wrong. He bragged about Rey, Orton and Cena not being able to stop him. Punk claimed he had nothing to do with the referee low blowing Ryback. He said Ryback was behind him and there’d be no rematch. Mick Foley interrupted. Foley said he wasn’t there to embarrass Punk because he already embarrassed himself at Hell In A Cell. Punk ended up challenging Foley to a traditional 5 on 5 Survivor Series match and Foley accepted. Ryback then showed up and Punk escaped, painfully, through the crowd.

Ryback d. JTG in 2:00. Squash for Ryback. You know the drill. Josh tried to interview Ryback after. Ryback said he wasn’t hurt, he was hungry and he’d feast on CM Punk.

Randy Orton d. Wade Barrett in 7:02. Rematch from Smackdown. Barrett targetted Orton’s arm, which was hurt from the previous night. They fought outside, before Wade finally got the upper hand in the ring. Orton fought back and set up the RKO, but was countered. Not long after though, Orton countered the Souvenir into the RKO.

– Vickie met with AJ backstage. Vickie said management had asked her to consider hiring AJ back as a diva. She made AJ apologise and told AJ to give her one good reason why she should get a contract.

Team Hell No! d. The Primetime Players (Bryan submitted Young) in 4:28. Kane and Bryan had their usual issues. After Bryan was worked on, Kane ran wild and hit the Chokeslam, but Bryan tagged himself in and put Young in the NO Lock to get the win for himself.

– Vickie came out, claiming she had evidence of AJ and Cena’s inappropriate relationship. She brought out Cena. Vickie showed Cena asking AJ out 3 weeks ago. Cena pointed out it was just one of his stupid jokes. Vickie then showed Cena hugging AJ last week, which was also written off by Cena. Next, Vickie showed a picture of Cena and AJ having dinner together. Of note, Cena wore his t-shirt to this dinner. Finally, Vickie showed footage of AJ going into an elevator with Cena. Crowd chanted “you are busted” at Cena. Cena insisted nothing happened, he just walked AJ to her door. Vickie wasn’t buying it. Eventually Ziggler came out and tried to antagonise Cena. Cena warned him off and shoved him before walking away.

Kofi Kingston d. Antonio Cesaro by DQ in 2:34. Before the match Antonio said America had the fattest children in the world and talked bad on Halloween. Miz did commentary here. Cesaro was sent outside in front of Miz, who distracted Kofi. Kofi threw Cesaro into Miz, so Miz attacked, causing the DQ. It turned into a two on one until R-Truth made the save.

– Back in her office, Vickie teased AJ some more. AJ refused to admit to anything to get her contract. Vickie hired her anyway, but if she laid a hand on Vickie she’d never be back. She then booked her against Beth.

– They aired a video of the 3 Man Band, doing a Behind The Music style interview. Jinder said he was the “fun one”. Drew said Bono couldn’t do one deadlift if his life depended on it. They got mad at the suggestion they should actually perform a song.

Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal of The 3MB d. Santino Marella and Zack Ryder (Slater pinned Santino) in 3:53. Zack got his token boot spot in early before being cut off. Santino made a Santino style comeback before things broke down. Drew distracted Santino as he went for the Cobra and got taken out, but Slater hit a Playmaker for the pin

AJ d. Beth Phoenix in 2:07. Beth tried intimidating AJ, which just made her mad. Beth took control, but AJ has watched enough shows to know Beth cannot kick out of roll ups and beat her with an inside cradle. But Vickie came out and said she expected more from AJ, so she’d give her a chance to do better and restarted the match.

Beth Phoenix d. AJ in 0:17. Beth attacked AJ from behind and hit the Glam Slam.

– Sheamus came out. He said he didn’t have his title but he had a smile on his face, because Big Show was the better man at Hell In A Cell. He talked about the match being the greastest fight of his life. Sheamus wanted another match with Big Show. Show interrupted and said Sheamus was hiding behind his smile. He bragged about beating Sheamus and said he’d realised there was no stopping him now. Show threatened to knock the smile off his face and said Sheamus couldn’t beat him. Show called him a “ginger snap”, so Sheamus asked if he’d ever seen a ginger snap and gave him the White Noise.

– Backstage Vickie spied on Cena and AJ. Beth thanked Vickie for her help, but Vickie wasn’t happy she didn’t do her job right the first time and fired her.

Team Rhodes Scholars d. Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara (Sandow pinned Sin Cara) in 11:10. After some early problems and two early dives, Rhodes Scholars got the advantage on Sin Cara. Rey got the tag, but Sandow clipped him as he tried a springboard to regain control. A double DDT lead to Sin Cara coming back in. Cody avoided a 619 and took out Rey outside. Sin Cara hit a corkscrew onto Cody. He then went for the senton on Sandow, but Cody pulled Sandow clear and he capitalised with the Terminus.

– Heyman interrupted Foley talking to Kaitlyn. Foley said he had no problem finding people to be on his team. Heyman told Foley he had a target on him and he would be victimised at Survivor Series.

– The WWE presented a cheque for $1,000,000 to the Susan G. Komen cause.

Alberto Del Rio d. Justin Gabriel by submission in 5:21. Del Rio worked on the arm a bunch. And an enziguri in the corner left Gabriel prone for the cross armbreaker.

– Heyman brought out Punk to announce his team for Survivor Series. They unveiled a giant poster of CM Punk’s WWE 13 cover from the ceiling. Heyman said Punk had asked him to put together his Survivor Series team. He chose The Miz, Team Rhodes Scholars and Del Rio. Punk said Survivor Series would be a celebration of one year as WWE Champion. Him and Del Rio shot a look after that which was amusing. Punk said Foley’s time was gone. Foley came out. He said he had no problem calling Punk WWE Champion but had a problem calling him a man. Foley introduced his team, Kofi, Team Hell No and Orton. Punk said his team would eliminate everyone and leave Foley until last so he could teach him respect. But Foley said he wasn’t competing, Ryback was. Everybody brawled, but Punk escaped from Ryback. Ryback gave Cody a clothesline and Shell Shocked as Punk looked on.

MAIN EVENT

Randy Orton, Rey Mysterio and Sin Cara d. Alberto Del Rio and The Primetime Players (Orton pinned Del Rio) in 15:06. Crowd were really into Orton here. PTP and ADR tried to isolate Orton a couple of times, before finally cutting off Sin Cara after a trip by Alberto. Rey got the tag but he too was cut off. Del Rio posted his shoulder but the PTP stopped a tag. Eventually Orton came in and made the big comeback. He set up the RKO but the PTP intercepted. Rey and Sin Cara took out Young and Titus, before a Rey 619 sent Del Rio into an RKO for the pin.

– Striker interviewed the three of them in the ring after the match. Rey said he and Sin Cara were in the tag team division for a long run. Sin Cara actually spoke, in Spanish and Rey translated that they wanted the Tag Titles. Orton said they sent a message to Del Rio, that he was the only Apex Predator.

– Josh interviewed The PTP backstage. The PTP said they didn’t lose and they were the top tag team in WWE. They said they would be the tag team champions by Wrestlemania 29. Del Rio stormed in and said things weren’t over between him and Orton and told him to watch his back on Smackdown.

Wade Barrett d. Tyson Kidd in 3:39. After Wade controlled things early, Kidd was able to get some momentum going and had Wade on the ropes for a bit. Wade blocked a suicide dive with a right hand though, then finished Kidd with the Souvenir.

– Afterwards Wade talked about how “bloody impressive” his win was. Wade brought up Sheamus losing his title, saying if Sheamus had dared to defend against him, he’d be champion and not Big Show. Sheamus came out and challenged Wade to a match next week on Main Event, in England. Wade said he didn’t lose in England. Sheamus said there’s a first time for everything. He tried a Brogue Kick and Wade escaped. Excited for that match.

NXT

The Usos d. Michael McGillicutty and Johnny Curtis (Jimmy pinned McGillicutty) in 4:18. Curtis was acting weird, well weirder than usual, during his entrance. To the point that it creeped out McGillicutty. Curtis and McGillicutty struggled to get along, mostly due to Curtis and his dancing. Jey ran wild and set McGillicutty up, for the superfly splash from Jimmy. After the match, The Ascension appeared high up in the building and stared down at The Usos.

Leon Kruger d. Xavier Woods in 4:01. Xavier’s got a new dance theme. Going to become a fast favourite of mine. Kruger used a bearhug here. A lot. He eventually won with his face first neckbreaker but this new character still isn’t cutting it.

– After a video on Big E Langston and his five count, Byron interviewed Big E on the stage. Big E cut a promo on why he loved the number five. No, really. Wacky. Vickie Guerrero randomly interrupted and tried to recruit Big E. Big E clapped chalk in her face and Vickie freaked out.

– Jinder came out, still in his pre 3MB gimmick. Perils of advance tapings. He demanded a rematch for the NXT Title. Justin Gabriel interrupted, saying other people were more deserving, like him. Drew interrupted, also not in 3MB mode, to say he held a victory over Rollins so he should get a shot. Bo Dallas joined in asking for the shot, before Dusty showed up and proposed a four way next week to determine the number one contender.

Roman Reigns d. CJ Parker in 3:40. Reigns is the former Leakee. He dominated and won with Mark Jindrak’s old Mark Of Excellence move.

WWE United States Championship: Antonio Cesaro (c) d. Tyson Kidd in 7:10. Very technical to start. Kidd caught Cesaro in a heel hook, forcing him to regroup. Cesaro went for the Neutraliser fairly early and Kidd countered. Kidd got the better of things, but couldn’t put Cesaro away. And Cesaro caught him with the pop up uppercut, before finishing him with the Neutraliser. Really good while it lasted, give them double the time and it’d be great.

SUPERSTARS

The Usos d. Primo and Epico (Jey pinned Primo) in 7:40. They changed Primo and Epico’s music. Boo. Usos started strong before a blind tag lead to Jey being dumped outside. Jey was worked over, but managed to tag Jimmy. Things broke down and both Primo and Epico suffered superkicks before Jey pinned Primo with the superfly splash.

Brodus Clay d. Michael McGillicutty in 5:36. All Brodus until he missed a splash in the corner. McGillicutty attacked Clay’s arm. But Brodus fought back to pick up the win with the big splash.

SMACKDOWN

– Show started with MizTV. Miz’s guest was Sheamus, who Miz made sure to point out was the former World Champion. He asked how embarrassed Sheamus was. Sheamus asked how Miz’s match with Kofi went. Miz said Sheamus knew he couldn’t beat Big Show. Miz kept goading Sheamus, until Kofi interrupted. He made fun of Miz for beating him three times in a row. Big Show then interrupted and said Miz should be interviewing him. Show declined Sheamus’s offer to fight tonight, before Kofi avoided Miz’s attempt to attack and sent him out of the ring.

– Backstage Show ran into Booker, who congratulated him. He booked Show and Miz against Sheamus and Kofi.

Darren Young d. Sin Cara in 3:38. After a fairly even match, Young just hit the double knee gutbuster out of nowhere and won. Afterwards, Titus quietened the crowd (or tried to) with a whistle and volunteered to give another little dog the chance to face a big dog by challenging Rey.

Rey Mysterio d. Titus O’Neil in 2:57. Rey tried to use his speed but struggled. He got Titus in position for the 619 and Sin Cara intercepted Young, but Titus blocked it. Titus then missed a charge and Rey rolled him up for the pin. Rey and Sin Cara mocked The PTP’s dance after.

– Teddy and Booked discussed what was happening on Raw lately. Natalya said since Eve was in Europe, she was offering to help. Otunga offered his services instead, so Booker put him against Great Khali. Otunga spat his coffee over Natalya in shock. He said it was an improvement, so Natalya slapped him, which caused Teddy to get sprayed.

Wade Barrett d. Randy Orton in 8:43. Rematch from Raw, which was a rematch from Smackdown. Del Rio came out to do commentary but tried to attack Orton before the match instead, with Ricardo throwing Orton into the ring post. Orton recovered enough to compete, but the effects helped Wade out throughout. Orton caught Wade with a superplex and finally strung a comeback together. As he set up the RKO, Del Rio distracted him from the stage. Orton knocked Ricardo off the apron, but Wade rolled Orton up and stole the win. Orton went after Alberto after.

– Striker tried to interview Alberto backstage, but Orton attacked him. They brawled around backstage and into catering. Orton ended up throwing hot coffee at Ricardo. Alberto got backdropped through a table before escaping. Striker tried to interview Orton right after Alberto escaped and got thrown into some cakes.

Great Khali d. David Otunga in 1:34. They showed Natalya watching backstage. Otunga put up a decent fight for a while. But Khali eventually caught him with a big overhand chop and Natalya seemed impressed. Khali ran into Natalya backstage afterwards and Natalya admired his big hands.

R-Truth d. Justin Gabriel in 3:27. Gabriel more than held his own, but Truth avoided a springboard and hit the Little Jimmy for the win. They shook hands afterwards.

– Miz and Show met backstage. Miz told Show to do what he used to do when they were ShowMiz and follow his lead. Big Show said tonight he wasn’t a teammate, he was Miz’s superior. He threatened to KO Miz if he didn’t do what he was told and made Miz fetch his title belt.

Big Show and The Miz d. Sheamus and Kofi Kingston (Miz pinned Kofi) in 6:43. Big Show made Miz fight Sheamus instead of him to start. Kofi hit a dive on Miz, which Show saw coming and just walked away from. They finally got control of Kofi. Big Show actually started doing mat wrestling while mocking Sheamus. Sheamus eventually came in and ran through Miz. He then brought Kofi back in for a crossbody. Show got knocked outside by Sheamus, but KOed Kofi while the referee was distracted, allowing Miz to get the pin. Sheamus gave Miz the Brogue Kick after the match.

What You (Probably) Need To See:
– Rey and Sin Cara versus Team Rhodes Scholars from Raw.
