Fight Club: PRO “A Tribute to François Trebec”
February 23rd, Starworks Warehouse, Wolverhampton, England

1: Omari b. Dan Moloney, El Phantasmo, Kay Lee Ray, Mark Haskins, Martina and Sean Kustom in a Scramble Match – some great dives here, and Dan Moloney went after Kay Lee Ray and Martina. Omari pinned Phantasmo with The O Zone, but Mark Haskins attacked him after the match, claiming opportunities were handed to students like Omari, while Haskins was treated as mere outside guest talent.

2: Jordan Devlin b. MK McKinnan – average match, which ended with McKinnan suffering an injury and having to be helped to the back.

3: Moustache Mountain (Trent Seven & Tyler Bate) b. Angelico & Zack Sabre Jr. – mostly comedy with Seven trying and failing at his opponents’ styles, but the action picked up as the match went on, with Bate pinning Angelico with the Tyler Driver 97.

4: WALTER b. David Starr – this was a surprise match, with WALTER getting a huge pop when he came out. This was similar to their match in wXw last year, with WALTER continually chopping Starr, and Starr fighting valiantly from underneath, hitting big lariats. WALTER won with a big powerbomb and a sleeperhold, and both men got a standing ovation after the match.

5: Pete Dunne b. Matt Riddle – very good match, but the atmosphere struggled coming after Starr/WALTER. Both men hit their trademark spots, and Dunne caught Riddle and hit him with The Better End (Tombstone Piledriver out of the Bitter End setup) for the win.

6: Aussie Open (Kyle Fletcher & Mark Davis) b. The South Pacific Serial Killers (Jonah Rock & Travis Banks) – this was Rock’s UK debut, and he impressed with power moves. Again the crowd was tired as it was past 11pm at this point, but there were very good tag team sequences, with Aussie Open winning with an over the shoulder piledriver by Davis on Rock.

7: Chris Brookes (w/Kid Lykos) b. Millie McKenzie to retain the Fight Club: PRO Championship – Millie was a great underdog, withstanding lengthy beatings from Brookes. Kid Lykos tried to get involved, eventually providing a distraction for Jinny to run in, but McKenzie countered. Brookes used the belt and the #CCK baking tray, but McKenzie ducked and used the belt herself, as backup referee Joel Allen counted three, awarding the title to McKenzie. However, referee Shay Purser saw McKenzie use the weapon, and restarted the match. Lykos and Jinny intervened again, allowing Brookes to retain with the Praying Mantis Bomb.

Brookes boasted that no man or woman could take the title from him, and he, Lykos and Jinny triple teamed McKenzie, when Omari, Travis Banks and Aussie Open made the save. Fight Club: PRO matchmaker Martin Zaki came out and told Brookes he has to defend the title during Dream Tag Team Invitational weekend against Meiko Satomura. That weekend takes place in Wolverhampton on March 30th, in Manchester on March 31st, and in Birmingham on April 1st.
