Ariel Helwani who used to watch wrestling and currently writes for MMAfighting.com sat down with CM Punk before his UFC fight and asked him about the Amann case and the upcoming UFC bout. At the 20:31 mark he asks Punk about if he’s going to be at the wrestling show in Sept and Punk gives the following answer, “..It’s not happening.” You should listen to it as he goes in depth and says that people are going to try to twist words to make it fit into what they think is going on but that it is just not happening. He also says that no one has every really asked him to be on their show. People have offered and said things like, “if you ever want to come back or do something..” but nothing concrete.
Of course there is always going to be speculation but given Punk’s demeanor and the big win of his case with WWE, he sounds genuine. What do you think? Leave a comment below.
