Ricky Mandel is having story time with PJ Black and Jack Evans. He brings up his creepy doll, only to get interrupted by Mundo and Taya, calling this an emergency meeting. The Reptile Tribe has declared war on the Worldwide Underground. Mundo tells Jack Evans to issue an open challenge to one of them tonight. Evans doesn’t like snakes, and says he has an appointment to get to. Finally, Mundo asks if anyone has seen Angelico, and tells them to keep an eye out for him. The scene closes with Ricky Mandel creepily staring into the camera with his even creepier doll…

Matt Striker and Vampiro welcome us to the show. They talk about the Three Way to the Grave main event, and then bring us to the ring.

Put Up or Shut Up Challenge: Jack Evans vs. XO Lishus

XO Lishus is yet another new talent for the season, and actually did very well. Lishus was over with the crowd, and ultimately pulled out a surprise win. There was nothing from the Reptile Tribe, which was interesting. Jack Evans went out there and did his thing, getting good heat, and looking good while doing so. XO Lishus has a lot of interesting moves in his arsenal, and showed quite a few new things here tonight. Evans taking the loss doesn’t make the most sense, and like I said, there was nothing with the Reptile Tribe, so that leaves me with even more questions. Besides that, this was a solid opener, we’ll see what’s in store for XO Lishus this season.

Winner: XO Lishus

Match Rating: **3/4

Pentagon Dark is in the ring with a microphone in hand. He mentions conquering all his opponents in Aztec Warfare, and then defeating Matanza last week. Anyone else who wants the title will fail as well, and end up with a broken arm. CAGE then runs into the ring and lays out Pentagon with a discus clothesline! Cage beats down Pentagon, and then takes him out with the belt. Cage goes to the outside and pulls out a table, setting it up at ringside. He gets Pentagon on the apron, and then nails a huge powerbomb, sending Pentagon through the table! Cage grabs a microphone and tells Pentagon to meet the man he can’t break, because he isn’t a man, HE’S A MACHINE!

Fenix is backstage with Melissa Santos, Melissa says she can’t lose him here tonight. Fenix tells her to remember last time, but Melissa mentions that he has two opponents here tonight. Melissa tells Fenix that after tonight, they belong to her.

Three Way to the Grave: Fenix vs. Jeremiah Crane vs. Mil Muertes

Violence and brutality, the two things that have defined Lucha Underground in the past three seasons. This match had everything you’d expect from a Grave Consequences. From tables to chairs to blood, it truly had it all. It never seemed like Crane was going to win this match, but his elimination made so much sense. His former girlfriend, Ivelisse, came back and beat down Crane with a hammer, exactly what Crane did to her back at Ultima Lucha, just one year ago. Then it came down to Fenix and Mil, the feud that has been building since Lucha Underground debuted. Fenix got the best of Mil in Grave Consequences in Season 1, but Mil has grown stronger ever since, and it showed. With Catrina by his side, Mil defeated Fenix, to the dismay of Melissa Santos, who was standing ringside, cheering on her boyfriend with all her might. The believers looked on in shock as Mil closed the coffin, and won this match. What’s next for Mil and Catrina? How long will it take for Fenix and Jeremiah to return? Anyways, this match got almost thirty minutes, which is a true rarity on a weekly episode. With a stronger finish (it came off as flat to me), this would’ve been even better, however it was still something special.

Winner: Mil Muertes

Match Rating: ****

Matanza Cueto is locked up, as Antonio Cueto speaks to him. He talks about how Matanza failed him, and Dario made him weak. The one thing Antonio cannot tolerate is weakness. Antonio throws the key at Matanza, and tells him to “destroy the soul of my son, and become a god”.

Final Thoughts:

While only having two matches this week, Lucha Underground once again delivered. We got the announcement of the Reptile Tribe declaring war on Worldwide Underground. Jack Evans debuted his new open challenge, which introduced us to XO Lishus. Pentagon has a new challenger, and he’s not a man, HE’S A MACHINE! Cage vs. Pentagon has the potential to be insane. That led us to the main event, which delivered big time. Hard hitting, violence, blood, storytelling, everything that Lucha Underground excels at. That match could go down as one of the best this season, but we’ll have to see.

Final Rating: 7.3/10
