Matt Striker and Vampiro welcome us to the show, they recap the rivalry between Pentagon Dark and Cage, and say the war is far from over. Antonio Cueto announced earlier today that Cage and Pentagon Dark will be on opposite sides of tag team action tonight. They bring it to Melissa for the action to begin!

Daga w/Kobra Moon vs. PJ Black

This was a fine little match, with very little heat and some notable botches. It was here to continue the Worldwide Underground/Reptile Tribe feud, which served its purpose, but the match was nothing special. It was totally the opposite of what makes these two special. If you give these guys seven minutes to go out there and have a fun sprint, this would’ve been ten times better than what we got. The finishing stretch was rather slow and sloppy, which resulted in a submission that didn’t look painful at all. Thankfully, the closing angle was good, and this feud isn’t over yet.

Winner: Daga

Match Rating: **1/2

After the match, Drago and Vibora come out to beat down PJ even more. Johnny Mundo and Taya come out to make the save, along with Ricky Mandel. Mandel gets destroyed by Vibora, but there’s no signs of Jack Evans because he has a fear of snakes. Mundo and Black take out Vibora with kendo sticks. Kobra Moon grabs a micorphone, and tells Mundo that the reptile tribe is in his future, and he needs to accept or perish. Mundo says if she wants him so bad, then she should come down and try to take him. Next week, it’ll be Tribal Warfare and Mundo will pledge allegiance to Kobra Moon. If Worldwide Underground wins, Kobra Moon can grant any wish Mundo desires.

The Mack is in the locker room, and he’s confronted by Catrina. She has good news for The Mack, and Muertes is coming for Mack. Mack tells Catrina to warn him, because Mack wiil drop him. Catrina then opens a locker room door, revealing the Skull of Mack’s cousin, Big Ryck!

El Dragon Azteca Jr. is in the ring, and cuts a generic promo about planning on winning the Lucha Underground Championship. Until he gets his shot, he will defend his Gift of the Gods belt against anyone who wants a shot. The only way he loses this belt is when he’ll cash it in for the main event of Ultima Lucha Cuatro! We’ll see how that ends up…

Trios Championship: Killshot, Son of Havoc, and The Mack (c) vs. The Rabbit Tribe

Really good match here, tons of action, they got the crowd into it, and they continued the issues of Killshot’s new attitude, and the Champions are struggling to get along. The Rabbit Tribe have always been a fun act, but they’ve never done anything until the Killer Kross angle a few weeks back. We’ve still yet to see Kross debut, or hear anything back from him for that matter. Anyways, there was little to no downtime in this one, and it was exactly what makes the Trios Championship great. Killshot really got to shine in the end, and ultimately stole the pin from The Mack, continuing those issues.

Winners: Killshot, Son of Havoc, and The Mack

Winners: ***1/4

Cage says he needed a cold blooded killer for his partner, so he picks King Cuerno. Pentagon comes out, AND CHOOSES NOT TO HAVE A PARTNER!

Cage and King Cuerno vs. Pentagon Dark

This was a very short match, but got the job done. Cage was looking for another shot at the Lucha Underground Championship, but has to earn it first. King Cuerno was his hired bounty here, and in the end it all worked out for Cage. Pentagon was a great underdog, fighting both men off for as long as possible, before Cuerno took him out, walked off, and Cage finished the job. This was fun, but kept very short, preventing it from being great.

Winners: Cage and King Cuerno

Match Rating: **1/2

After the match, Cage grabs two chairs and sends them into the ring. Cage puts one under the head of Pentagon, and that only means one thing… CON-CHAIR-TO! Cage hit two of these before walking off with a smile on his face.

“Cowboy” Johnny Mundo and Taya are on the lookout for some reptiles. They go into a room and find Drago tied up, but Vibora was ready. Vibora took out Taya first, then Mundo, but Taya came back and took Vibora out… BEFORE TAKING OFF HIS HEAD! What’s with all the deaths this season?! Very interesting angle leading into next weeks match, and Johnny told Drago “we were never here” as the show ends.

Final Thoughts:

This was a pretty good week, as we now have quite a few new matches and storylines moving forward. Next week there is a huge tag match between The Reptile Tribe and Worldwide Underground, with the great stipulation of Mundo joining the Reptile Tribe, or Mundo having a wish granted. Things got more interesting with the presumed death of Vibora, so how will the Reptile Tribe come back? Also, the Trios Champions continue to struggle together, but they keep retaining their titles. I’d expect them to drop those soon, as The Mack seems primed for a feud with Mil Muertes. The main event was a fun little match, just too short for my liking. Cage used King Cuerno to beat down Pentagon, before Cage finished the job, and took him out post match. The rivalry between Cage and Pentagon has been fun, but I just don’t see Cage winning the title. We’ll see, as it seems obvious we’ll be getting another match between the two, which I’m all for, since the first was a little disappointing. Overall, a good show this week, and next week should be awesome.

Final Rating: 7.0/10
