Paco Gonzalez vs. Airwolf vs. Shane Strickland

This was a pretty fun match to kick off the show. It was kept pretty short, but they used the most of their time and everyone looked good. Airwolf still has lots of room for improvement, but putting him in the ring with someone like Shane Strickland will sure help that. Like a typical three way opener, it had your flips, kicks, strikes, and fun moves to get the crowd hot. The finish was just as I predicted, with Paco getting a win over Airwolf, while Shane Strickland was out of the equation. Really fun opener, it could’ve used a few more minutes to make it even better, but no complaints here.

Winner: Paco Gonzalez

#NoNewFriends (KLD and Mike Outlaw) vs. The Riegel Twins

This was an awesome tag match, starting slow with KLD beating down one of the twins, and isolating him in #NNF corner. After the hot tag, it really picked up, and the Riegel Twins impressed me a ton. They’re two young kids who have a lot to offer, and with more experience could really be a great tag team. Sadly for them, they were on the losing end tonight. The last three minutes of this one were awesome, and it was on par with the opener. Really great sprint here, KLD doing big boy things is a blast, and I can’t wait to see more of the Riegel Twins.

Winners: #NoNewFriends

Match Rating: ***1/4

Laynie Luck vs. Savanna Stone

As predicted, Savanna Stone picks up the win in a perfectly average match. There was nothing wrong with it, some sloppy interactions early on, but Laynie Luck was pretty solid for the most part. Savanna Stone has become a HUGE fan favorite, and she continues to improve. Luck beat down Stone for maybe five or so minutes, nothing really special there. The match was just over ten minutes, and could’ve used a few trimmed off. Like I said before, nothing wrong with this one, just a perfectly solid women’s match, with a finish out of nowhere. Stone picks up another win, and we’ll see who they bring in for her next (since Kylie is out with an injury, Stone has to keep the women’s division alive).

Winner: Savanna Stone

Match Rating: **1/2

Ethan Page vs. Mance Warner

This was definitely a coming out party for Mance Warner. He was a late addition to the card, as Hakim Zane had to pull out. Mance was introduced with 13 different nicknames, pulling out his inner David Starr. There was a nice little promo battle before the match, trying to get the cheap pop as they focused on USA vs. Canada. As for the match, the crowd didn’t react to everything as well as they should have, but I think they were still a bit unsure how to react to Mance. Lots of good back and forth action, some good near falls, but I feel like there was something missing in this one to make it great. Mance got the shocking win, making Ethan Page tap out to a crossface. After the match, Mance tried to get a “We All Count” chant going, but it failed miserably. Once this dude can connect with the crowd, he could be a bigger part of Glory Pro. Page got the crowd to chant “North America”, and he’s always welcome back to Glory Pro, you can never go wrong with Ethan Page.

Winner: Mance Warner

7 Way Scramble – Winner gets a future United Glory Tag Team Championship match with a partner of their choosing: Kobe Durst vs. Tootie vs. Barackus vs. Stephen Wolf vs. Brandon Aarons vs. Sage Cainan vs. Clayton Gains

Like most Glory Pro scrambles in the past, this had quite a few moments, but was a mess, sloppy at times, but still good. The story here was taking down Barackus, which took most of the competitors to do. Tootie got an absolutely awesome reaction, and they definitely need to use her more in the women’s division moving forward. The man that impressed me most was Clayton Gains. He has the look, agility, strength, and everything needed to succeed. Kobe Durst was awesome as well, and actually was focused on for most of the match. For whatever reason, Tyler Matrix wasn’t in the match anymore… But that allowed Stephen Wolf to pick up the win. Wolf has been known for teaming with Trey Miguel in the midwest, so we’ll see who Wolf picks as his partner (it’s already been announced, but spoils a match that happens later on).

Winner: Stephen Wolf

AJ Gray vs. ACH

This was a really solid match, with AJ Gray proving that he can hang with ACH, and ACH looking good as usual. Unexpectedly, these two went 22 minutes! They really decided to throw it all out there, and this ended up being a really, really good match, easily the best thing on the show so far. AJ Gray really proved that he could be a big player moving forward, as the crowd got behind him and looked awesome. ACH let AJ Gray get a lot in, but ultimately picked up the win, as expected. On my preview I said: “I don’t expect this to be match of the night, but you never know”, boy was I proved otherwise. Great job Glory Pro, AJ Gray, and ACH.

Winner: ACH

Match Rating: ***3/4

The Boys from Jollyville vs. Space Pirates

This was a good match to follow Gray/ACH, as they got the crowd involved, and Space Monkey played the hits as usual. It wasn’t anything great, just a fun match before we get into some more major matches moving forward. T-Money is absolutely awesome, and his pounce on Space Monkey was BRUTAL! As expected, The Boys from Jollyville got the win to the dismay of the crowd. Some fun moments in here, but they also had a hard task to follow Gray/ACH.

Winners: The Boys from Jollyville

Match Rating: **3/4

Danny Adams vs. Aaron Solow

Glory Pro released this match for free on their YouTube channel, and that was an interesting choice. Going in, I expected this to be a pretty good match, with the potential if it being amazing. There were some sloppy parts, and the finish was really random, but this was a good match. Aaron Solow got to get a good amount in, and it was a good introduction to the Glory Pro crowd. Danny Adams continues to be really solid in the ring, and there are a few options we could go from here, but Extra Talented vs. #NNF (Danny and KLD) would be ideal. Nice surprise win for Solow, and I hope he continues to perform at Glory Pro.

Winner: Aaron Solow

Match Rating: **3/4

After the match, KLD and Mike Outlaw come out to beat down Aaron Solow. Danny joins in on the attack, only for ACH and Matt Fitchett to come out and make the save! A-Team vs. #NNF?

#1 Contender’s Match: Myron Reed vs. Warhorse

This was a really good match, as expected from these two. The first October show is named “Horsepower”, so it only makes sense that Warhorse is challenging for the Crown of Glory. Myron Reed always looks good, and he wouldn’t go down without a fight. Warhorse has become so loved by the crowd, and his rise to getting a title shot has been epic. After Warhorse hit the double stomp, it almost seemed like Reed was reaching to get his foot on the rope, but he was too far away so they just decided to end the match there. Nothing wrong with the finish, but I feel like they could’ve either trimmed this down and just went all out, or used a few more minutes to make the closing stretch even better. Nothing wrong with this, just a bit under the quality of Gray/ACH from earlier.

Winner: Warhorse

Match Rating: ***1/2

Curt Stallion came out with Barackus and the Boys From Jollyville, while Stallion came out with Paco, Stephen Wolf, and Myron Reed. The referee decided to send everyone to the back, as we’re going to settle this one-on-one.

Crown of Glory Championship: Jake Something (c) vs. Curt Stallion

This was a really great main event, entering us into a new era of Glory Pro. Curt Stallion has finally won the big one, and now he walks out with the Crown of Glory. Jake Something dominated early, but Curt Stallion fought back, only for Something to prove how much of a resilient champion he was, kicking out of everything Curt Stallion had to offer. I’m actually fine with the ref-bump here, because it allowed for The Boys from Jollyville to come down and attack Something with a chair, giving him another great near fall that the crowd got behind. At the end of the day, the 279 day reign of Jake Something ended due to a BRUTAL headbutt from Stallion, which knocked the chair into the face of Something, and Stallion fell right on top of Something to pick up the win. Great stuff here, arguably match of the night, but it’s about time Curt Stallion is on top of Glory Pro, as our new Crown of Glory Champion.

Winner: Curt Stallion

Match Rating: ***3/4

Final Thoughts:

This was a great show, as there honestly wasn’t a bad match on it. The weakest part was Stone/Luck, but that was far from a bad match. Tons happened on this show, and there were quite a few men who really stood out. The Riegel Twins, Mance Warner, Clayton Gains, and AJ Gray were all SUPER impressive, and hopefully they have bright future’s ahead of them. The top matches were Reed/Warhorse, Something/Stallion, and Gray/ACH, and if you get the time or chance, definitely check these ones out. Moving forward, Curt Stallion is our champion, and his first challenger is Warhorse, which should be a phenomenal match. Like usual, this was a super easy show to watch, lots of the matches were different from each other, stars were made, established talent was used, and it was a typical great show from Glory Pro.

Final Rating: 7.5/10
