This week was the fourth episode from the set of tapings from Fairfax, VA. Ian Riccaboni and Colt Cabana were on commentary and welcomed everyone to show.

First Match: The Bouncers ( Beer City Bruiser & Brian Milonas) vs. The Briscoes
Mark and Milonas started of for their respective teams after a short video package played, reminding us all that SCU attacked the Briscoes at Best in the World. Milonas overpower Mark in the early going, tossing the smaller man over his head-but right into a tag from Jay. Jay and Mark dumped Bruiser to the outside and began to work on Milonas. Bruiser recovered quickly and the Bouncers knock the Briscoes down with shoulder blocks. After standing tall, Milonas and Bruiser were unceremoniously dumped to the outside and fell victim to the airborne antics of the Briscoes. Back from the break, the Bouncers took control and were able to hit a backbreaker/legdrop from the second rope combo, but Jay and Mark fought back, singling Milonas out in the corner and repeatedly double teaming him. Bruiser came to rescue his friend and squashed him instead. Milonas was sent to the outside, allowing Jay to hit a neckbreaker on Bruiser before Mark hit the froggy-bow to pick up the victory. Post-match. Jay and Mark cut a promo about being the champions and that SCU (bums) will never take the titles off of them, cue the Addiction’s music. Sky talks a bit of trash and is quickly cut off by Jay who calls them out for having more numbers. Skey vows to hang back, saying Kaz and Daniels can handle themselves. Both teams brawled until officials could pull them apart. A strong match featuring a newer tag team in the división getting a chance. The post-match segment that had a lot of fire and came off as if the two teams really have disdain for one another.

Winners: The Briscoes

Second Match: Tenille Dashwood vs Karen Q vs. Madison Rayne vs. Kelly Klein
Q slid outside the moment the bell went off and Klein clotheslined both Dashwood and Rayne to the mat, allowing the heels to get a  quick start. Dashwood and Rayne countered back and then squared off themselves, battling to a stalemate until Q entered. They worked together to dispose of Q and continued their battle until Klein and Q interfered. Q and Rayne jostled in the ring as Klein and Dashwood brawled on the outside. Dashwood stopped a near fall and then found herself driven to the mat by a Tower of Doom spot, capped off by Klein throwing everyone off the rope. Dashwood recovered and hit the Taste of Tenille on everyone else, but didn’t get the three count. Klein executed an impressive Samon drop/fallaway slam combination

Dashwood hit spotlight on Klien, but Q threw her to the outside and attempted the pinfall. Klein kicked out and Rayne was waiting to hit a Rayne Drop to pick up the victory and earn number one contender status. A surprise victory here for Rayne was an interesting development, but Rayne does not feel like a legitimate contender for the title unless she signs a more exclusive deal.

Winner: Madison Rayne

Cody and Brandi come out and speaks about being unlucky, but he still has Brandi and he seems to be calling out Burnard. Instead, Nick Aldis came out and spoke about their previous d1eal. He went on to talk about their paths, eventually saying that the match has nothing to offer him. Cody then said that he has plenty to offer, he was out beating Ibushi and Omega while Aldis beat a 53-year-old history teacher. The two jawed after Cody asked Aldis to kiss the ring. The Bullet Club came out and we got a pull apart until the commercial break. Good work here by both men, this definitely made things personal between the two and much more interesting because of it.

Main Event: Bully Ray, Shane Taylor and Punishment Martinez vs.
Flip Gordon,Cheeseburger and Josh Woods
Before that match, Bully Attacked Flip Gordon, forcing the Montanan to head to the back with concussion symptoms, leaving Burger and Woods down a partner. The crowd chanted for Colt, but he did not have his gear and did not go down to the ring. Cheeseburger and Woods were able to hold their own for a bit, but the numbers game caught up and they were quickly in dire straits. Cabana could not take it any longer and he ran down to the ring, tagged in and cleaned house, seemingly poised to win the match. Cheeseburger tagged himself in and landed on Bully Ray with a double stomp from the top, but Ray rolled to the outside. Cabana followed him out with a slingshot plancha, leaving Burger alone in the ring to be ambushed by Taylor, who picked up the victory for his team.

Winners: Bully Ray, Shane Taylor and Punishment Martinez

Final Reaction: C+
The opener featured the Bouncers, a team that has some promise in a division that needs new faces that can be contenders down the road. The segment involving Aldis and Cody was well done and builds to All In, which will be featured on ROH’s streaming service Honor Club, so it behooves the company to include this on television. Ray’s figure looms large in the company and has been involved in major storylines as of late, but the mixing in of Cabana has been fantastic and when Cabana and Ray face off one on one down the road, it will be a moment fans have been waiting for. An average episode of television for ROH this week with a few bright spots overall, but nothing Earth-shattering occurred this week.

Thanks for stopping by again this week and look for more Ring of Honor coverage the same time next week. Until then, please go over to Running Wild Podcast and take a listen to a show that covers oodles of wrestling news and ridiculous conversations. You can find us on iTunes, Stitcher, Soundcloud
