Antonio Cueto is in his office, opening some letters. Kobra Moon storms into the room and demands the Reptile Tribe gets a shot at the Trios Titles. Cueto looks back at his records, and all he sees is losses. Kobra says the tribe is stronger than ever, even without Drago. Cueto loves Kobra’s fire, so in tonight’s main event, they’ll get a shot at the Trios Titles.

Matt Striker and Vampiro welcome us to the show. Tonight is a big night, as the Trios Titles are on the line in the main event. However… Killshot is also challenging for the GIft of the Gods Title tonight! The Rabbit Tribe are standing in the ring, ready for action.

Paul London and Saltador are in the ring, as Antonio Cueto makes his way out. Paul London says he wants a chance at retribution after last week, because Saltador will show what a true rabbit can do, unlike Mala Suerte last week. Saltador is now the next SACRIFICE!

Sacrifice to the Gods: Saltador vs. Matanza Cueto

Saltador started off hot, and Matt Striker said “we have an actual contest here!” before Matanza took him down in easy fashion, and has made his next sacrifice. We know about the White Rabbit, but they haven’t followed up on him since the debut. What’s up with killing the entire Rabbit Tribe?

Winner: Matanza Cueto

Match Rating: NR

Son of Havoc is talking to The Mack in the back, and says he just doesn’t like Killshot, and Killshot doesn’t like him either. Killshot walks in and says he doesn’t respect Son of Havoc being handed the title. Killshot lets them know that he has a Gift of the Gods Title match tonight, as Mack and Son of Havoc are confused, because they have to defend the Trios Titles alone. As Killshot was about to walk off, Killshot admits that he doesn’t like Son of Havoc.

Next week, Pentagon Dark defends the Lucha Underground Championship against Cage in a “Last Man or Machine Standing match”.

Gift of the Gods Championship: Dragon Azteca Jr. (c) vs. Killshot

This was a fun match, not going too long, but got everything in that it needed. Killshot hit the huge Double Stomp, however Dragon got a huge kickout, and the crowd absolutely loved it. After the kickout, things picked up, and there was a great closing stretch. As expected, Dragon Azteca retains again, but sooner or later his luck will run out. He’s been a great champion so far, putting in back to back quality outings.

Winner: Dragon Azteca Jr.

Match Rating: ***1/4

Aerostar and Drago are in the back, Drago says he doesn’t deserve a second chance, due to the things he did with the Reptile Tribe. Aerostar blames it all on Kobra Moon, but Drago doesn’t remember much. He doesn’t deserve to be Aerostar’s friend anymore, but Aerostar is forgiving, and the two shake hands. BEST FRIENDS!

Lucha Underground Trios Championship: The Mack, Son of Havoc, and Killshot (c) vs. The Reptile Tribe (Kobra Moon, Daga, and Jeremiah Snake)

Lots of good Trios action here, and that was partly due to it being tornado rules. Killshot came into the match a bit later on, but ultimately caused the title change. Before we get to that, Jeremiah Crane and Kobra Moon had some great chemestry together, definitely unexpected, but awesome to see. In the end, Son of Havoc accidentially hit a suicide dive onto Killshot. Son of Havoc went up top to finish the job on Jeremiah, but Killshot shoved him down, as Jeremiah took advantage and we had new Trios Champions. It was only a matter of time before these three lost the titles…

Winners: The Reptile Tribe

Match Rating: ***1/4

After the match, Killshot blames Son of Havoc for the loss, and hits him with the Double Stomp. The Mack re-enters the ring, and looks after Son of Havoc as Killshot walks away.

Cage is in the ring, talking about his match with Pentagon next week.. Pentagon quickly runs into the ring and superkicks Cage, as the brawl escalates to the outside. Pentagon superkicks a fan, and they fight all the way up the steps. Pentagon pulls a Jeff Jarrett and nails a band player with a guitar. Cage kills a camera man and a security guard. Cage and Pentagon tease throwing each other over the guardrail. Cage nearly suplexes Pentagon off the balcony, but the fight goes back to ringside. Cage grabs Father Ricochet… but Pentagon hits Cage in the back with a chair. Father prays to Pentagon, only for Pentagon to break his arm. Cage beats down Pentagon some more, as they continue to brawl as we go off the air.

Antonio Cueto is in his office, interrupted by the Mack. The Mack asks for a match with Killshot next week, however Antonio says he already has a match next week. Catrina asked for a “Haunted House” match between The Mack and Mil Muertes!

Final Thoughts:

This was a great episode of Lucha Underground, as we were back to a three match formula, and it worked out perfectly. The opener was another sacrifice for Matanza, as the Rabbit Tribe continues to die. Killshot failed in his attempt to win the Gift of the Gods Title, and ended the night with no gold at all. The Trios Champions have been brawling with each other since the start, when Killshot adopted a new attitude. The Reptile Tribe will be great Trios Champions, and we’ll have to see who’s next for them. Finally, the closing angle was great, as Pentagon and Cage will absolutely knock it out of the park next week in a Last Man (or Machine) Standing Match. However that wasn’t all, because we also get The Mack vs. Mil Muertes in a HAUNTED HOUSE MATCH! Who knows what that’ll be, but I certainly know that this was a great episode.

Final Rating: 7.5/10
