Melissa Santos is backstage, as Dragon Azteca Jr. walks in. He says Melissa can be honest around him, and he knows Melissa misses him (Fenix). Melissa says she misses him more every day, and Dragon gives Melissa half of the aztec medallion, saying this is Fenix’s life still carrying with her.

Matt Striker and Vampiro welcome us to the show, as the Temple is SPOOKY! The Haunted House is set up, which is a steel cage, surrounded by tons of weapons. They show that FAMOUS B IS ALIVE! Also tonight is the Last Man or Machine Standing match, where Pentagon defends against Cage.

Catrina is mad that Melissa Santos didn’t introduce her, so she tells her to do it the correct way, as she shoves the microphone into Melissa’s chest. Melissa gives a big NO, but Catrina attacks! Catrina sends Melissa into the cage, then gives her the lick of death before putting her face into a flower pot.

After the break, they announce that Melissa was taken to a local medical facility. Also, this match cannot end by either competitor escaping the cage.

Haunted House Match: The Mack vs. Mil Muertes w/Catrina

Mil Muertes always shines in gimmick matches, and this was no exception. An absolutely brutal match, filled with amazing moments, and a always hot crowd. The Mack was a perfect never say die babyface, who wouldn’t go away, and did everything in his power to stay alive. Sadly for The Mack, Mil Muertes speared him through the cage, pulled out a knife, and hit a Flatliner off the top rope through a table to finish the job. Amazing stuff here.

Winner: Mil Muertes

Match Rating: ***3/4

After the match, Catrina refused to perform the Lick of Death on The Mack.

Famous B is sitting at ringside, as he thanks all the fans for their support in his recovery. Famous B has decided that he’ll take over ring announcing duties for the evening.

Jake Strong vs. Aerostar

Just a short little match here, as Jake Strong continues to dominate and put away everyone that stands infront of him. It confuses me why you job out Aerostar here, but the post match angle was very interesting. How long will the Jake Strong push last? The believers are still behind him, he’s been performing way better than he does on other indies (especially MLW), so I’m not totally against it.

Winner: Jake Strong

Match Rating: NR

After the match, Jake Strong keeps ahold of the Ankle Lock on Aerostar. Drago comes out to make the save, as Jake Strong retreats. It’s so great seeing Drago and Aerostar back together.

The Worldwide Underground are in the back, opening up gifts after their big engagement. Taya gives Johnny Mundo a big picture of him with the title, but it only makes Mundo sad because of how his title was stolen. Taya says he’ll be getting it back… Because a week after their wedding, Johnny will challenge whoever the Champion is!

Ricky is being a security guard for the party, as the agent/manager arrives and tries to enter. He says he was invited, but Ricky thinks otherwise. His creepy doll talks to him, AND RICKY KILLS THE AGENT DUDE! At least Taya was happy in the locker room from her matching bandana’s.

Lucha Underground Championship – Last Man or Machine Standing: Pentagon Dark (c) vs. Cage

Last Man Standing matches are probably the trickiest to pull off, but this was PHENOMENAL! There weren’t constant 10 counts, it was all action, and the perfect way to finish the feud. Both men came out quick, hitting each other hard, using weapons, and hitting finishers. I’m not the biggest fan of Cage getting up from a Canadian Destroyer off the top rope through a table, but the dude is a Machine, so we’ll give it a pass. Pentagon made sure he finished the job, by breaking both of Cage’s arms, and Curb Stomping him through a Cinder Block. An absolutely amazing match, and props to both men for going through that. Cage took so many unprotected head shots… Wow.

Winner: Pentagon Dark

Match Rating: ****

Final Thoughts:

Easily the best episode of the Season, and one of the best episodes in recent memory. Things kicked off with a bang, as Catrina and Melissa got into it, leading us to a great Haunted House match. Things cooled down with the Strong/Aerostar match, but it served its purpose with Drago being brought out, and is a good little rivalry for Strong for the time being. The cooldown didn’t last long, because WE HAD ANOTHER DEATH! The death toll this season is unreal, as Ricky has been fully taken over by the doll. It didn’t stop there, because the main event was probably the seasons best match so far. Pentagon finally finished the job, and Cage will take some well deserved time off. Amazing stuff this week.

Final Rating: 8.0/10
