Catrina is in the back with Mil Muertes, saying she has her life back again. They will rule together, but she never really loved Mil. She gives Mil the rock as something to remember… BEFORE MELISSA SANTOS CONFRONTS HER! Melissa slaps Catrina and gives some knees and punches. Mil looks down at the rock as they enter another room. The cinematic fight scene continues with Melissa throwing Catrina’s head through a window, and they head into yet another room. They both kick each other in the face, but Melissa continues to fight. Catrina finally locks in an armbar, and tells Melissa that Fenix never really loved her. Melissa said Fenix did die for Catrina, but now Catrina will die for her. The fight continues onto a balcony outside, Catrina grabs half of the medallion from Melissa and begins to choke her out. Melissa continues to fight back, and eventually Catrina hangs onto a post from one arm, before MIL MUERTES IS BACK! He gives Catrina the rock back, and says it’s something to remember him by, AS HE LETS CATRINA GO! ANOTHER DEATH! Melissa goes down to Catrina, but is confronted by Aerostar. Aerostar says it’s important that Melissa gives him the half of the medallion, so she does… And Aerostar uses some mega skills and says he’ll be right back. A flashback to 10 weeks earlier is shown, where Catrina kisses Fenix while he’s in the coffin. Catrina walked off, only for Aerostar to use his mega skills again to BRING FENIX BACK TO LIFE?! We’re back to present day, where Aerostar begins to walk back to Melissa… WITH FENIX! Fenix and Melissa hug as Aerostar walks off. THAT WAS INSANE!

Matt Striker and Vampiro welcome us to the show, and say he most likely won’t be competing in the main event tonight. Vampiro says it’s likely Johnny will NEVER COMPETE AGAIN?! This is all thanks to Matanza ruining the wedding last week. Joey Wrestling is here tonight, and he’s looking for a fight.

Antonio Cueto comes out while Joey Wrestling is in the ring. He hears that Joey is a bit upset over what happened last week, so tonight he’ll get a chance for revenge. It’ll be his first ever Lucha Underground match… In a SACRIFICE TO THE GODS.

Sacrifice to the Gods: Joey Wrestling vs. Matanza Cueto

Matanza dominated early, before Joey had the referee distracted and nailed two low blows, followed by a pedigree! Matanza got up immediately, and nailed a Tour of the Islands. This was great, and it totally made sense. Matanza attacked Joey last week, so Joey wanted revenge. Besides the wedding, there were obviously no plans for Joey, so writing him off is appropriate. We already have two deaths on this episode.

Winner: Matanza Cueto

Match Rating: NR

Killshot vs. Big Bad Steve w/Beautiful Brenda

Killshot has a new look to further his heel turn. It’s also nice to see Big Bad Steve in action, it’s been months. This was probably a bit longer than it needed to be, but there was some good back and forth action. Big Bad Steve sold the knee well, and dished out quite a few interesting moves. Killshot picks up the win, as Son of Havoc was ringside for most of the match. The main point of this was continuing that feud, and it accomplished the goal.

Winner: Killshot

Match Rating: **3/4

Killshot is about to walk off, but he stops by Son of Havoc and shoves the popcorn in his face. The two begin to brawl, as Son of Havoc slams Killshot into the stands. Son of Havoc goes to shove Killshot into the ring, AND HAVOC TAKES HIS MASK OFF! Havoc celebrates with the mask as Killshot covers his face and runs off to the back.

Pentagon planned on giving Johnny Mundo and Taya a wedding gift, however that won’t happen due to Matanza’s actions. That makes Pentagon sad, because he just wanted to break some arms. Now, Pentagon will be issuing an open challenge. Hernandez comes out, and this is the first time he’s been here since Aztec Warfare. Pentagon mocks him and calls Hernandez down to the ring, as we have ourselves a title match!

Lucha Underground Championship: Pentagon Dark (c) vs. Hernandez

This was a fine match, nothing too great, but yet another defense for Pentagon. Hernandez was very cocky, and he made it impossible to like him. They got some time to work, which Hernandez mostly dominate,d but there was no drama in regards to a title change, and it was just an average match. Thankfully, it led to a good post match segment that set up the next challenger.

Winner: Pentagon Dark

Match Rating: **1/2

Pentagon goes to break Hernandez’s arm yet again, but KING CUERNO comes out! Cuerno lays out Pentagon with a superkick, and then hits the modified Tombstone Piledriver in the center of the ring.

Final Thoughts:

While it didn’t feature the best wrestling, this was an awesome episode of Lucha Underground. Melissa Santos sent out a tweet saying you wouldn’t want to miss the first 10 minutes of this episode, and they surely didn’t disappoint. Catrina was just using Mil, the fight between Catrina and Melissa escalated until Mil was the reason Catrina IS DEAD. If that wasn’t enough, Aerostar brought Fenix back to life. What a guy. We moved on from that and Joey Wrestling is dead, so that’s a total of 2 deaths in like 20 minutes. The feud between Killshot and Son of Havoc kept going, and when those two finally have a match it should steal the show. If that wasn’t enough, Pentagon had an open challenge, which was accepted by Hernandez, who was the challenger of the night. Things picked up after the match when King Cuerno laid out the champion, setting his sights on the title. Awesome stuff this week, as we have a lot to cover moving forward.

Final Rating: 6.7/10
