Hey Guys. I know this is super late and I apologize. But, I had some free time tonight and figured I’d try to catch up on ACTION Wrestling. My choice to review them right now isn’t meant as a sign of disrespect to CWF Mid Atlantic. It’s just that with my semester, I can’t really review the weekly WorldWide episodes right now. However, I do plan on covering the upcoming Trevor Lee vs Chet Sterling match. So, hopefully, y’all can expect that in the next few weeks. Shoutout to all the CWF Mid Atlantic folks, hope y’all are nice and safe from Hurricane Florence.

This particular show’s proceeds benefit an organization called Advo Kids CASA. This is the branch of the Griffin judicial circuit. CASA represents kids in the juvenile system.

The show starts off hot with Tag Team action! Matt and Joey Lynch tango with AC Mack and Ike Cross. The Lynch brothers remind me of a combination of The Motor City Machine Guns and The Young Bucks They’re really great at quick, highflying maneuvers, and that southern style psychology.

Their opponents aren’t necessarily a full time tag team. Instead, they have grown a chemistry through their familiarity with each other. In terms of athleticism and ability, I’d say odds are even. The question is, how big of a difference will the tag team experience be?

The match was extremely close and competitive. However, Matt and Joey have been a team all of their lives! To further the advantage, the passionate crowd was fully behind them. AC and Ike haven’t exactly done a great job endearing themselves to the fans. On the other end of the spectrum, Matt and Joey are two of the nicest guys you’ll meet in this business! When the smoke cleared, the heroic brothers got their hands raised!

Up next, it’s a battle for the right to be called the superior James. Hometown hero James Bandy fights North Carolinian James Ryan. Bandy wrestled in the first ACTION Scramble at the last show. Tonight, he’s got a singles match. At both shows, he’s been met with a positive response by fans. I can tell he’ll be one of the top faces.

The match itself was a really fun sprint. Both guys gave it their all with some really hard strikes. My favorite moment was when Ryan told the referee “count faster, you goob!”. In the end, Bandy gained some momentum by knocking Ryan out cold with a flying kick!

For the first time in ACTION, we’re treated to Women’s Wrestling. Real life sisters Aja Perera and Tragedy Anne duke it out. Honestly, this match wasn’t particularly my cup of tea. However, I could tell that these ladies genuinely gave it their best shot. I think that my biggest issue was that Tragedy Anne just really scares me. When I saw her walk out, she looked very intimidating and that ripped doll really creeped me out. At one point, I believe Tragedy Anne might have even shot a snot rocket at her opponent. That’s disgusting on an extremely high level, even if it is a form of mind games! Maybe all of my issues are actually positives since they make Tragedy Anne an excellent villain?

For our next match, Cain Justice goes toe-to-toe with Anthony Henry. Anybody who follows me on Twitter @CWFAN96 knows I’m a huge Cain Justice fan. Heck, I was even talking smack to Henry via Twitter prior to this show. To help paint the picture even further, Dylan Hales referred to me as the Cain Justice superfan.

With all of that in mind, I know for a fact just how much Cain was looking forward to this fight. While Cain has done a fantastic job making a reputation for himself, he hasn’t wrestled too many people with the exposure of an Anthony Henry. Beating someone like him would make his stock skyrocket!

Also, Cain, while he had a great showing, ultimately lost his GA debut to Fred Yehi. Cain is a really competitive guy, so, he came into this match with something extra to prove. Cain knew that losing to Anthony Henry wasn’t an option.

Unfortunately, Anthony Henry is a guy with a legitimate MMA background. He’s equally skilled on the ground and on his feet. So, if Anthony Henry is the type of wrestler that can excel everywhere, how does the much less experienced and youthful Cain win?

You see, because of the loss to Yehi, Cain had an extra big chip on his shoulder. This means that he was hungrier and willing to win by any means. What I’m getting at, is that, in order to win, Cain had to make this a dirty fight. Long story short, he did and Anthony Henry met his inevitable, painful Twist Ending!

The next two matches feature 3 of ACTION Wrestling’s most loathed villains. It began with Team TAG vs Chance Rizer and Michael Spencer. Rizer and Spencer are young and loaded with heart. Unfortunately, TAG was just too big and mean. The youngsters catch a beating for their valiant effort.

Just when things were looking bad, Billy Buck’s opponent comes out with his signature weapons. Those dastardly heels got their fair share of Flip Flop chops! This started Cabana Man Dan vs Billy Buck. It was a really fun match. The Flip Flop chopper has really unique offense, and it seems that it may have even caught Buck off guard. Despite this, the numbers game was just too much for Cabana Man Dan.

In an act of pure disrespect, Buck and Team TAG whip him with his own weapons! I thought that would be the most evil deed of the night. However, they proved me wrong just minutes later. Billy Buck blasted the man with the power, Matt Griffin with the Buckshot superkick. It’s always a bad idea to make the boss your enemy. This is especially true when your boss is as well liked and respected as Matt.

The Co-main event of the show is Cam Carter vs. Slim J. This match completely blew me away. I knew just how good Cam is because I’m very familiar with his CWF work. This was my first time ever seeing Slim J. Nobody has ever made a better first impression on me. Honestly, I don’t really feel like anything I say will do justice to how amazing this match was.

I expected much more of a high flying matchup. Don’t get me wrong, there was plenty of aerial attacks. However, what really stuck with me was the striking ability of both. Make no bones about it, this was a fight! Cam even managed to bust up Slim J’s mouth. I thought Cam was finished when Slim J floated a superplex into a guillotine choke. One thing about Cam is he has this underrated strength. He used that strength to muscle Slim up and counter the guillotine into a single underhook brainbuster, which, he has told me he named the Death Star.

It’s Main Event time! Tracy Williams defends his Powerbomb TV Championship against Arik Royal! If I had to describe Arik, I would say that he’s an extremely well rounded big man with a ton of charisma. At the same time, if Arik does potentially have one weakness, I would say that mat wrestling isn’t his strong suit. In order to win this match, he must keep the fight standing.

Tracy is known for his submission expertise. As long as he can withstand Arik’s abuse and take this to the ground, he’ll retain. Arik hits unbelievably hard, so that’s easier said than done. Fun fact, Arik is 2-0 against Williams. Does he make it a trio of victories? Can Williams successfully retain his title? Tune in on Powerbomb TV to find out. If you don’t have an account, the promo code ACTION will grant you 20 free days. Thank y’all for having me back. Hopefully, you’ll see me again in a few weeks.
