Iron Woman Match For The Phoenix of RISE Championship: Mercedes Martinez defeated Tessa Blanchard by 5 falls to 4 to become the new Champion.

Tessa Blanchard and Mercedes Martinez made history on Friday night, as they apparently broke the record for longest women’s wrestling match competing in a 75-minute Iron Woman match for Blanchard’s Phoenix of RISE Championship at RISE 10 – Insanity with Mercedes won with five falls to Blanchard’s four.

Courtesy of ProWrestlingSheet.com, “according to the Internet Wrestling Database, the previous two record-holders both saw Martinez successfully defending the WSU Championship, once in 2011 against Lexxus (IMPACT’s Alisha Edwards), and once in 2009 against Angel Orsini, clocking in at 73 and 70 minutes, respectively.”
