They recap the events of last week, followed by a video package for Tessa Blanchard. Feels like this should’ve been on last week with her challenging for the title, but it was a really good package nonetheless. Tessa has won championships all around the world, and she came to WOW to win another one. She’s here because she’s a Blanchard and Blanchard’s go after the gold.

Pretty much the same opening as last week, with David McLane in the ring and Santana is being interviewed. David apologizes to the fans around the world for Tessa’s actions last week. Santana says she’s never asked David for anything, but now she’s asking him for a shot at Tessa Blanchard! Tessa came out from the crowd and a brawl ensued between the two before referee’s tried to separate them. David tells Santana that Tessa still needs to work her way up the ladder before getting a title shot. Tonight, Tessa is going to face The Beverly Hills Babe (Amber O’Neal).

Princess Aussie is the next to get a video package. Really good job of cementing her as the babyface, as her Mom had to work so she grew up with a tribe. Princess Aussie was bullied as a kid, but she stuck up for herself in High School and has done the same ever since.

Siren vs. Princess Aussie

Not a ton here, but it was a solid match and Princess Aussie showed a lot of potential. Siren got a video package last week, so it was a little disappointing to see her job out this week and not look like the beast they presented her as. Princess Aussie hit a nice looking frog splash to pick up the win, and the crowd was really behind her while doing so. They smartly kept it pretty short, and it was a good showing for Princess Aussie.

Winner: Princess Aussie

Match Rating: **1/2

Tessa Blanchard promo time from the weight room. Tessa is ready to do whatever it takes to win that WOW Championship, and that starts with getting through The Beverly Hills Babe tonight.

Another new talent, as Jessie Jones gets a video package. Jessie has orange hair and is a typical southern country girl. Jessie was training with another girl but she dislocated her arm so she was stretchered out. Weakest video package of the bunch, but maybe it’s because I’m not familiar with everything that happened in previous seasons to get us to this point.

On her way out, Jessie puts her gum on the forehead of one of the announcers. She then grabs a mic and says she’s here to make wrestling again, and it starts with beating Azteca. She then randomly mentions the wall and gets a lot of heat. I’m not a big fan of Jessie so far.

Jessie Jones vs. Azteca

They got more time than the opener, and I thought this was a good heel vs. face match, with a really good crowd who was hot for Azteca. Azteca had a really unique look, and was really good in the ring. I don’t think Jessie Jones is anything special, but she gets good heat and kept the crowd invested. Azteca hit a nice spinning dive that nearly got the win, but in the end she tapped to an arm submission that didn’t at all look like it hurt. Jessie picks up the win, but I need to see more from Azteca in the future.

Winner: Jessie Jones

Match Rating: **3/4

Havok debuts soon!

Another recap from last week, as Jungle Grrrl was so close to winning back the WOW Championship. The Beast appeared after the match, and she returns next week and is in action.

The Beverly Hills Babe was once in a team with Santana Garrett and they were Tag Champions, but the team was forced to vacate the titles. Amber O’Neal was tempted by Hollywood, so she teamed with Lana Star and turned on Santana shortly after.

The Beverly Hills Babe w/Lana Star vs. Tessa Blanchard

So we get a heel vs. heel main event? Not sure why they went this route, but it was an alright match. I’ve never been the biggest Amber O’Neal fan, but Tessa is currently one of the best women’s wrestlers in the world. I wish they got some more time, but Tessa looked great and finished things off with the Hammerlock DDT. Good match, just nothing stood out a ton.

Winner: Tessa Blanchard

Match Rating: **3/4

Tessa cuts a promo after the match, asking what else she has to do to earn a title shot. She then took a shot at David McLane and said Santana’s Dad won’t be the only one who needs an oxygen tank. Santana comes out and brawls with Tessa as the show ends.

Final Thoughts:

I thought the debut last week was a bit better, but this was another solid episode that flew by. They continue to introduce new talent (Princess Aussie, Jessie Jones, Beverly Hills Babe) and do so with some tremendous video packages. The main focus of the show has been Tessa/Santana, which is a great feud to start with as both are extremely good in the ring, and Tessa is great at getting heat. None of the matches stand out, as they’re basic TV matches that don’t get a ton of time. That said, the main feud continued and this was a successful second episode.

Final Rating: 6.6/10
