Jungle Boy vs. Ray Rosas

This was a really great match to open the show, letting Jungle Boy shine, but Ray Rosas continues to impress me a ton. Ever since I started watching Bar Wrestling, I figured out that this dude is a hidden gem, and his singles matches are always super entertaining. They got some good time to work, and the crowd was invested the entire time. Rosas got a good first fall, as did Jungle boy, but in the end Rosas picked up yet another singles victory. Great opener!

Winner: Ray Rosas

Match Rating: ***1/2

Heather Monroe vs. Taya

Not a bad match by any means, as Taya kept the crowd invested. Heather Monroe is the focal point of the women’s division here in Bar Wrestling, and she keeps getting these high caliber matches, which are great for this point in her career. The annoying announcer called Taya “the TNA Women’s Champion” which was just stupid, I’m so over people calling it TNA. That aside, Heather looked great in this match, besides making the Curb Stomp look a bit weak. Taya hit the stomp, and followed it up with her new submission to pick up the win.

Winner: Taya

Match Rating: **3/4

Luchasaurus vs. Tyler Bateman

There really wasn’t much here, maybe someone was working with an injury so it was kept short? Luchasaurus is always great to see, as with his height he shouldn’t be able to do the things he does. With Brody King in ROH, Tyler Bateman is going to need to find himself a new partner, or continue to go at it alone. He looked impressive here, picking up a big win over Luchasaurus in a short and rather un-eventful match.

Winner: Tyler Bateman

Match Rating: **

Daga and Tessa Blanchard vs. DoomFly (Delilah Doom and Eli Everfly)

Of all the Bar Wrestling shows I’ve reviewed so far, I can EASILY say this has been my favorite match. My favorite Bar match to date is Lucha Bros vs. LAX, but this was a great, and I mean GREAT match between three very talented wrestlers and one that I’m not so high on. Delilah Doom stepped up big time, and delivered one of the best performances, if not, the best I’ve ever seen from her. I love the team of Daga and Tessa, they obviously have a ton of chemistry from real life, and that translated well here. The match was only slow for the first few minutes, but they had a hot crowd and went out there and killed it. All action, never any dull moments, and just a great tag team match.

Winners: Daga and Tessa Blanchard

Match Rating: ****

Brian Cage vs. PJ Black

These two had to get the crowd back into things after an insane tag match, and this totally exceeded my expectations. PJ Black isn’t too great, he botched his only cool move in this match (the springboard moonsault), but he looked more than competitive against Brian Cage. They had some good near falls, as Cage has an undefeated streak going here in Bar. Black hit a very cool looking double stomp off the top rope, but that couldn’t put Cage away. In the end, Cage got the win after a very competitive, back and forth sprint.

Winner: Brian Cage

Match Rating: ***

If you watch “Being The Elite”, you know how the main event ends, but there’s currently 39 minutes left in the show… That’s a long time for the match and the overbooked mess.

Eric Watts and The RockNES Monsters vs. SCU

While it started out being a normal and fun six man tag, Rick Knox got knocked down, and this thing was out of control. Watts had Daniels pinned, but the second referee declared he wasn’t legal (which never happens in indy wrestling tag matches these days), so Watts beat him up and we were out of refs. First came Page, who had a fun spot with Joey Ryan before The RockNES Monsters beat them down. Next was Brandi and Cody, and Cody did a huge dive in his shirt and tie, with dress shoes! Watts beat them up, and finally we got the Young Bucks. It’s hard to rate a match like this, but it was a ton of fun (if you’re into overbooked matches, I’m usually not but this is an exception), and the crowd was super hot, as they’ve been all night long.

Winners: SCU

Match Rating: ***1/2

After the match, we had about 10 minutes of promo time, and fun BTE bits, putting over the crowd, talent, and most importantly AEW.

Final Thoughts:

Top to bottom, this was a great show and ALMOST everything delivered. Bateman/Luchasaurus didn’t need to be on the card, and I have no clue why that was so short. Otherwise, everyone stepped up, and it was in-front of a really hot Bootleg Theater (which is my favorite venue Bar runs at). The opener was great, Heather Monroe stepped up, I already touched on the poor Luchasaurus match, DoomFly vs. Daga and Tessa was AMAZING, PJ black impressed and he and Cage delivered a really solid match, and the main event was absolutely crazy. I believe this was SCU’s first indy appearance since they decided not to re-sign with ROH, and you couldn’t have asked for a better crowd. Easily the best Bar Wrestling show I’ve reviewed, and you need to check out DoomFly vs. Daga and Tessa!

Final Rating: 7.3/10
