Beyond Wrestling’s “Uncharted Territory” Episode 9 live from the Electric Haze in Worcester, Massachusetts took place on May 29th. Your commentary team are Paul Crockett and Josh Briggs. Your ring announcer is Rich Palladino.

Nick Gage makes his entrance to huge MDK chants from the crowd. Both men start the match with an exchange of chops. They trade back suplexes and they are no effect to either man. Jay Freddie brings the fight with a huge running uppercut sending Gage to the outside, where Freddie then hits a suicide dive. Gage fights back and send Freddie into the merch tables. Gage brings it back into the ring where he makes the mistake of going to the top rope. He is met by Freddie who then hits a superplex from the top rope. Gage comes back with a facewash and a middle rope senton but Freddie is able to get his knees up. A tombstone piledriver is unable to get a three count for Freddie. He locks in a sharpshooter but Gage is able to get to the ropes. Freddie goes for a high risk maneuver but it’s scouted by Gage. Gage takes advantage with a piledriver and a chokebreaker for the win. This was a good back and forth match to open the show.

Post match Santell makes his entrance and the two men eye eachother for the second week in a row.

Cam Zagami is interviewing Thomas Santell’s opponent for the Discovery Gauntlet, DL Hurst. He says the fans abandoned him after he broke his leg last year. Santell is returning for the 5th week in a row.

Hurst starts the match with a cheapshot from behind to Santell. Hurst chokes Santell with his opponent’s sweater. Santell comes back and returns the favor. The two men brawl on the outside of the ring. Hurst hits a senton onto Santell who was across the ring apron. Hurst then grabs the mic and tries to cut a mid-match promo but the crowd’s boos causes Hurst to drop the mic. Santell comes back with a rear naked choke but Hurst rakes the eyes to break out of it. Hurst controls the match and later attempts to hit a codebreaker off the torture rack position but it’s countered into the Sugar Free hold. Hurst is able to get to the ropes to break up the submission. Santell hits a huge avalanche double underhook suplex but Hurst rolls out of the ring to avoid getting pinned. Hurst comes back for a bit but it doesn’t last long as he misses a moonsault off the top rope. Santell later reverses a roll up into the Sugar Free hold and forces his opponent to tap.

The uninvited Kenn Doane comes out to much of the fan’s dismay. Doane jaw jacks with the fans and then he tries to grab the microphone from Cam Zagami but Zagami doesn’t let go of it. Doane hits Zagami in the face and leaves the venue. It looks like Beyond is setting up both Doane and Gage as future opponents for Santell.

Skylar is in the corner of Davienne for this next match. Allie Kat is making her Beyond Wrestling debut. Skylar grabs Allie Kat’s foot very early in the match. She continues to be a factor as she trips Allie. Davienne takes advantage of this and hits a big back suplex. She controls the match until Allie makes a comeback with a fury. Allie hits a cannonball in the corner. The momentum doesn’t stay on the side of Allie as she misses a middle rope senton. Davienne follows up with a fisherman’s buster but only gets a two count out of it. Allie hits a pop-up headbutt. She makes the pin but Skylar puts Davienne’s foot on the rope. Solo Darling comes out and brawls with Skylar. Allie hits a lariat or as she calls it, laricat. This puts Davienne away for the 3 count. Skylar attacks Allie Kat after the win but Solo comes in to make the save. Good debut for Allie Kat and a decent match to set up a tag match for the following week.

Bear Country are going into this match with a huge strength advantage while the team of Colin Delaney and Cheech have the speed advantage. Bear Country work over Delaney and slow down the pace of the match. Delaney is finally able to tag in Cheech. Cheech is able to fight off the double team and swing off the knee of Bronson to hit a swinging DDT on Beefcake. Daleny hits a stunner and Cheech jumps off the back off Bronson to hit a rana to Beefcake, sending him into the corner. The crowd goes crazy for that one. The match turns again when Bronson hits a package piledriver to Cheech landing onto his partner Delaney. They follow up with an elevator drop onto both men for the win. This was a fun little match but Bear Country looked lost a few times when they were in control of the match.

VSK comes out holding a Dorian Graves mask. Graves comes out and doesn’t waste time in bringing the fight to VSK. He hits a spinning somersault senton from the middle rope to VSK on the outside. Later on Graves tries to slingshot into the ring but is cut off by an European Uppercut from VSK. VSK takes over the match and the crowd isn’t happy. After a dive, he bodyslams Graves onto the hardwood floor. VSK tries to take the countout victory but Graves makes in back into the ring before the count of 10. Graves comes back with a rana to VSK off the middle rope. Graves calls for a massage but hits a double stomp instead. VSK hits a spanish fly and a superkick for only a 2 count. He then rips off Graves’ mask and gets a quick pin for a 3 count. Referee Kevin Quinn covers Graves with a towel as he exits the ring.

This match was set up when Chuck O’Neil attacked Anthony Greene’s friend Josh Briggs after his match with Nick Gage last week. Greene is out for revenge and hits O’Neil with a dropkick as he enters the ring. Greene comes with some offense until he gets sent shoulder first into the ringpost. He tries to fight back with a cutter off the middle rope but is caught with a German Suplex. O’Neil hits a Michinoku driver into an armbar but Greene’s feet are under the ropes. The former MMA fighter keeps the hold locked in til the count of 4. His opponent hits his second attempt at the cutter and Greene gets some hope. This doesn’t last long as O’Neil locks in the armbar forcing his opponent to tap.

Post match, he locks in the armbar again and Briggs makes the save. Josh Briggs vs. Chuck O’Neil is set up for next week’s episode.

Richard Holiday joins on commentary for the main event. Tom Lawlor is making his return to Beyond Wrestling to cause a roadblock in Chris Dickinson’s road to Americanrana. Lawlor controls most of the match with mat wrestling and strikes, working over Dickinson’s left arm. Dickinson creates an opening with a Death Valley Driver, and he’s able to follow up with an one armed DVD. Lawlor comes back with a shellshock. He gets in a rear naked choke after a second attempt but Dickinson breaks out of it with a pin. Dickinson is unable to hit a Pazuzu Bomb because of the bad arm and Lawlor counters it into a Tombstone piledriver variation. Both men trade strikes. An enziguri and lariat combo from Dickinson only gets a 1 count. A spinning back kick looks like it knocks out Lawlor but he’s able to kick out again. Dickinson hits a spinning kick and finally puts Lawlor away for the 3 count. Great hard hitting match from both men.

Dickinson grabs the mic after the match and puts over how great Lawlor’s transition from MMA fighter to professional wrestler has been. The two men embrace. After a “Please Come Back” chant from the crowd, Lawlor says that he’ll be back next week to Uncharted Territory. Dickinson gets on the mic again and says that next week he’s facing Josh Alexander.

This week’s main event between Chris Dickinson and Tom Lawlor was a really good one. Check it out.
