Next week, the wrestling world changes. Wrestling fans will be treated with hours of professional wrestling from different promotions. Between all the wrestling shows, Beyond Wrestling will be the only independent wrestling promotion running live on a weekly basis. The show is returning for it’s second season this upcoming Thursday.

With Season 2 starting in less than 7 days, Beyond Wrestling will be looking to continue their momentum from the first season. Let’s take a look at some of the talent that was discovered from the first season. Most of these wrestlers will play a big part in Beyond in the upcoming season.

Uncharted Territory Season 2 will be premiering on Thursday October 3rd at 8pm Eastern on IWTV. New subscribers can use promo code PWP20 for a 20 day free trial.

Thomas Santell

The 19 year veteran, Thomas Santell, made his Beyond Wrestling debut at Uncharted Territory Episode 5, competing in the Discovery Gauntlet. Santell picked up a victory against LD Mantis Montesanti, and earned the opportunity to return the following week. After his match, Santell received chants of “nerd.” The chants got louder and louder week after week, and Thomas Santell quickly became a crowd favorite. He went 7-0 in the gauntlet, defeating Brad Hollister, Juan Francisco de Coronado, Jaxon Stone, DL Hurst, Mark Sterling and Travis Huckabee.

After losing in controversial fashion to Christian Casanova on Episode 12, he began to team with Nick Gage. The unlikely duo became known as Nerder Death Kill. The tag team ended the season with an undefeated record. Santell will go back to singles competition in Beyond, as he is facing Orange Cassidy on the Uncharted Territory Season 2 premiere episode. If he’s competing as a singles wrestler or alongside Nick Gage, Santell will be a huge part of Beyond Wrestling’s future.

Bear Country

Bear Country made their Beyond Wrestling debut on Uncharted Territory Episode 5, same as Thomas Santell. The former Chaotic Wrestling Tag Team Champions defeated Milk Chocolate. This became the start of a long undefeated streak. They’ve run through the best tag teams that Beyond and independent wrestling has to offer, including The Butcher and the Blade, The Beaver Boys, Team Tremendous and Da Hoodz. They went into Beyond Wrestling’s biggest show of the year, Americanrana, calling themselves the ace tag team of Beyond Wrestling. On this night they defeated the actual ace tag team of Beyond, EYFBO. Post match, Santana and Ortiz passed the torch to Beefcake and Bronson. The tag team ended season 1 with one loss on their record. Bear Country are now entering season 2 as the Ace Tag Team of Beyond Wrestling, and they have a win/loss record to back it up.

Leyla Hirsch

Leyla Hirsch entered Uncharted Territory later in the season but she made quite the impact immediately. Hirsch entered into the Discovery Gauntlet on Episode 13, where she squared off against the defending Christian Casanova. Casanova was coming off his controversial win against Thomas Santell in the previous week. He continued his winning ways, but once again in controversial fashion, spoiling the debut for Hirsch. Hirsch impressed so much that she returned weekly and appeared on every remaining episode of Uncharted Territory Season 1. She went on to have great matches against Alex Reynolds, Solo Darling, and John Silver, in what some might consider one of the best matches of the season. Hirsch in currently on her first tour of Germany for wXx. You would have to believe that she’s going to play a huge part of Season 2.

Christian Casanova

The person mentioned earlier that ended the winning streak of Thomas Santell and played spoiler to Leyla Hirsch’s debut, is none other than Christian Casanova. After aligning himself with Cam Zagami, he went on a winning streak of his own, going 4-0 before falling to Daniel Garcia. Club Cam then received two new members, as Kenn Doane and Richard Holliday joined the duo. They ended the season with a victory over Josh Briggs, Anthony Greene and the Platinum Hunnies on the season finale. They then inserted themselves into the main event by attacking Bear Country and Nerder Death Kill. Things might not have ended their way that night, but Casanova and the rest of Club Cam will be a force to be reckon with in the upcoming season.

Brandon Thurston

The Buffalo native Brandon Thurston took on Jay Freddie on Episode 4 in his Beyond Wrestling debut. The match ended up being one of the best matches to come out of Season 1. Even in losing, Thurston impressed enough to make a return on Episode 7, where he put on another great match, this time against John Silver. After suffering two loses, Thurston came into Episode 16 with a new attitude in his match against Wheeler YUTA. He carried this new attitude into a rematch against Jay Freddie on the season finale of Uncharted Territory. He was able to pick up his first victory in Beyond. You would have to think they’ll be a rubber match between the two. Thurston is already advertised for season 2, so you would have to believe he’s looking to pick up more victories in Beyond.

Honorable Mention: Mick Moretti

For Mick Moretti, we have to go back to the premiere episode of Uncharted Territory. On episode 1, two men entered into the ring for a new concept, the Discovery Gauntlet. Moretti defeated Gabriel Skye, earning himself a chance to return for the following episode. Moretti than became the first wrestler in the Discovery Gauntlet to gain a winning streak, defeating Tristian Thai and Alex Taveres. He went 3-0 before falling to LD Mantis Montesanti on Episode 4. Moretti hasn’t stepped foot inside a Beyond Wrestling ring since but he just competed in PWG’s Battle of Los Angeles. Hopefully “The Rapscallion” makes a return for Uncharted Territory season 2.
