The Wrestling Observer is reporting that WWE put pressure on wXw to no longer use David Starr. wXw hosted their annual 16 Carat Gold tournament which was main evented by Bobby Gunns vs. David Starr in a Title vs. Career match for the wXw Unified World Wrestling Championship. Gunn retained the title and David Starr said good bye.
“He didn’t quit. The details are still forthcoming but essentially, WWE made it such that they could not work together anymore,” Meltzer said.
