1) GCW: Lights Out

Sunday, July 21, 2019

Nashville, Tennessee

This event took place at the Basement East, home of Southern Underground Pro. Basement East is such a fitting venue for GCW and has played host to plenty of great shows. Back in March the venue was severely damaged by a tornado. I’m sure plenty of people are hoping this venue gets up and running in the future. As for the wrestling, Blake Christian makes his star making GCW debut on this show. And as you expect, this GCW show as a whole is such a great watch. GCW does not disappoint.

The world champion Chris Bey puts out an open challenge in this match and ends up wrestling twice on this show. The IWTV Independent Wrestling Championship is on the line in the main event. Bonus: DEFY NOW

I started to watch DEFY more than ever during this quarantine. This is mainly due to the fact that IWTV uploaded a bunch of DEFY NOW episodes. They also live stream a different episode every night. The Pacific Northwest promotion out of Seattle has released their entire 2019 and 2020 catalog, and there’s a some gems on there. You can witness talent such as Jushin Thunder Liger, Joey Janela, and Meiko Satomura, as well as talent from the Pacific Northwest. Some of the other great talents include Artemis Spencer, Jacob Fatu and my new favorite, Schaff. There’s a ton of great action on these shows so be sure to check them out.
