Tonight’s Fusion featured three championship fights. Alexander Hammerstone defended the National Openweight Championship against Mil Muertes in the main event. Hammerstone’s Dynasty teammate, Richard Holliday, defended his Caribbean Championship against former Dynasty member Gino Medina. And Los Parks defended their tag team championship against The Dirty Blondes. These matches and more can be viewed by watching the video below:
Strong Points of the Show
- The recap of Salina de la Renta’s involvement with Azteca Underground was well done. I am enjoying the storyline, and I am interested to see what future conflicts may arise based on the implied tension between Salina de la Renta and El Jefe.
- TJP did a great job of playing up his heel persona tonight. Alica’s questions were a bit odd. However, TJP did a great job of responding in a condescending and disrespectful manner.
- Aria Blake and Salina de la Renta’s interactions before and after the tag team championship match were cool to watch. Very rarely are there two women in the same segment on Fusion. Seeing Blake and de la Renta go at it was something new and fun to watch.
- A rematch is being teased between Myron Reed and Lio Rush for the near future. Those two put on a great match back at Kings of Colosseum in January. I would love to see Reed and Rush get another chance to face off and put on an enjoyable contest.
Weak Points of the Show
- I am glad that the Dirty Blondes got a chance to wrestle tonight. However, their championship opportunity seemed randomly given rather than earned. I don’t think they’ve been on Fusion since January. Their lack of presence in recent months made it hard to consider them credible challengers.
- The end of the tag team championship match was kind of a cluster. I find it very hard to believe that the referee wouldn’t have been able to seen El Hijo de la Park’s interference since it happened practically right in front of him.

- MLW National Openweight Championship Match: Alexander Hammerstone defeated Mil Muertes via pinfall to retain the National Openweight Championship.
