We open with a tremendous promo from Darius Lockhart where he says that he and Lee Moriarty are two sides of the same coin. Also while Lee has remained humble, gained success and admiration, he has been outspoken and has not received the admiration. However, he says that he is going to defeat Lee. Lee also has a great promo showing Downtown Pittsburgh, which is where Enjoy is located and where Lee lives and grew up. He says that this is his town and Darius better, “watch your step and protect your neck.”
The show will only be the one match, as this is a dream match for so many people. We go to black and white for the entrance of The Revolutionary, Darius Lockhart, and Lee Moriarty comes out dancing to “Boo’ed Up” to the cheers of the hometown crowd.
The match starts out with each showing respect to each other. Both men are cautious and feel each other out. They exchange holds, but remain even, as neither can seem to find a weakness in their opponent. Lockhart gets Lee on the mat with a headlock, but Lee shimmies out and they are even again. Lee locks in a headscissors, but Lockhart is able to get out. He tries to lock in a submission, but Lee gets to the ropes. They remain even after another quick exchange and the crowd is on their feet in appreciation of both of these athletes.
Lockhart cinches in a full nelson, but Lee is able to slip out and tries a quick pin attempt, but Lockhart rolls out at two. Lockhart appears to be frustrated and the speed of the match begins to pick up. Lee hits a lucha armdrag, but misses with the dropkick. Lockhart thinks he has the advantage, but Lee comes back with a crossbody and takes Lockhart to the mat. Lee works on Lockhart’s arm and stomps his elbow into the mat. Lee continues to focus on the arm. Lockhart pulls Lee to the apron and drops Lee’s arm on the ropes.
Lockhart starts working on Lee’s arm and pulls it back to the mat resulting in a near fall. They get to their feet and Lockhart drives Lee to the ropes with chops and dropkicks Lee as he is stuck on the ropes. Each competitor has worked on the other’s arms, so each has a weak limb. Lockhart starts picking up the aggression and scrapes his boot into Lee’s face in the ropes. He charges at Lee in the corner, but Lee avoids him and hits a flying uppercut. Lee goes back to Lockhart’s arm and hits a short arm lariat. Lee then brings Lockhart down to the mat with a Border City Stretch. Lockhart is able to escape, hits a huge clothesline and both of these wrestlers are on the mat.
They rise up together and exchange strikes with Lockhart dropping Lee with a right hand. Lockhart starts taunting Lee, which fires Lee up and he answers with a right hand of his own and a running kick in the corner. Lockhart answers by driving Lee into the corner and dropping him with a knee to the face, but Lee kicks out of the pin attempts. They exchange multiple pin attempts, Lockhart takes Lee down, but also hurts his arm in the process. Lockhart goes for the pin, but Lee reverses the pin attempt and gets the three count.
The entire crowd is on their feet to show appreciation for both athletes. The match was completely even the whole time and could have gone either way. I encourage everyone to go out of their way to watch this match on Enjoy’s YouTube channel, as it was a classic wrestling match.
