Last November, Brandon Kirk announced The Kirks’ Couples Invitational in conjunction with Pro Wrestling After Dark. This tournament, dedicated to the couples of indie wrestling, would be hosted by Kasey & Brandon Kirk. The show would take place at the Anchor Rock Club in Atlantic City, New Jersey in July of 2022; though it would be moved to an official date of August 13th, 2022.

While this is a much anticipated event, the possibility of this happening has come into question. Recently, Kasey Kirk took to Twitter, saying that she is unsure if the event will take place as planned. One of the potential reasons may be the recently announced GCW Homecoming Weekend coming to Atlantic City on August 13th and 14th. Night 1’s start time would directly run head to head with the Couples Invitational.

While the situation is uncertain, I personally hope that The Kirks and Pro Wrestling After Dark able to run this show. This concept seems like the makings for a fun show. You can follow both Pro Wrestling After Dark and The Kirks on Twitter for updates.
