The official statement from IWA Mid-South comes after Ian Rotten’s girlfriend Misty Rotten took to Twitter confessing to lying to him and putting full blame on herself.
She states, “Here is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. I’m finally being honest and letting go.
Most of you know @TrulyRotten is legally blind, and I do 80% of things for him as far as correspondence and stuff on his phone.
Well the truth is, for quite some time now, I’ve been lying to him and telling him that I’ve done things I haven’t done, like paying everyone… everyone hates Ian right now but I told him that I paid everyone and everyone was taken care of. I truly meant to pay everyone and take care of everyone, but I’ve got myself so far in a hole that I could never follow through.
I almost always had his phone, so it was easy to respond to text messages as him to try and buy time to take care of things and then delete all the messages so he wouldn’t know.
He has worked so hard to build his reputation back up and I have ruined everything. Absolutely everything. He is literally just finding out about everything today, this morning, all at once.
I know you all hate him but please know this is my fault. He genuinely thought I paid everyone. He trusted me to take care of things and I have not only ruined everything for him as far as business is concerned but I have hurt him more than any person deserves.
I’m sorry everyone but please know this is all my fault.”

Twitter user @DoxxxyStocksy released screenshots containing messages from Misty where she lied about trying to get payments out. In the messages she uses images found on Google to make it seem like she was waiting in line at the bank.

With all of this happening, it leaves a lot of wrestlers without work. Wrestler and ICW No Holds Barred promoter Danny Demanto, who was also booked for The King of the Deathmatch tournament, is currently trying to run shows on those very dates. He said he will try his best to run on August 19 and 20th in the Illinois or Indiana area.
Now that IWAMS King Of The Deathmatch is CANCELED on August 19-20 I’m going to do my best to run those same day(s) in IL or IN for all the fans that have already made travel plans.
We just need a building. All buildings we have access to already have events on those dates.
