At DDT’s Road to PETER PAN event on August 14th, Joey Janela defeated Akito in a 1 Lighttube Deathmatch to win the DDT Extreme Championship. In victory, Joey has ended the 29 day reign of former champion Akito. Janela will now make his first defense at WRESTLE PETER PAN 2022 at Ota Ward Gymnasium in Tokyo, Japan against Shunma Katsumata.
