On Sunday, March 24th, Create A Pro held its big show, “Hunting Season.” The show streamed live on the Major Pod Network Twitch channel.

The show saw a ton of fantastic action from all at Create A Pro. In the main event of the evening, we see a Lucky 7 Gauntlet to crown a new #1 Contender for the Create A Pro Championship. We also see Aaron Rourke put his Create A Pro Championship on the line against Dante Drago, Jake Lang put his CAP TV Championship on the line against Love Doug, and we crown new #1 Contenders for the Create A Pro Tag Team Championships. However, that’s not all. We also see the man-beast, ECW legend, Rhino in action. Check out the full recap and review below.

Create A Pro Tag Team Championship #1 Contenders match: Bryce Donovan & Evil Kip vs. Birds of the Sun vs. Even Stevens

Winners: AND NEW #1 Contenders for the Create A Pro Tag Team Championships, Bryce Donovan & Evil Kip

The event kicks off with a triple threat match to crown #1 Contenders for the Create A Pro Tag Team Championships. The newly united, Bryce Donovan & Evil Kip, take on two of the best tag teams in Create A Pro, the Even Stevens and Birds of The Sun. The Birds of the Sun make their way down to the ring and get a lot of boos. The Even Stevens get a mixed reaction from the Create A Pro faithful. On the other hand, Bryce Donovan & Evil Kip get quite the ovation from the fans in attendance.

The match starts with Bryce Donovan and Stephen Azure kicking things off for their respective teams. Donovan sends Azure into the corner which just angers Azure. Azures shoves Donovan in the face and this just pisses Donovan off. Donovan lands a huge sidewalk slam on Azure for a quick kickout. Azure tags in his partner, Steve Somerset, and Donovan makes light work of him too before tagging in Evil Kip. GKM tags in and attempts to get the better of Donovan and Kip, but gets a double flapjack instead.

Miscommunication between Donovan and Kip, allows Sparrow to tag in and take out Kip. Donovan however continues to remain in control. He calls for a chokeslam on Sparrow, but Sparrow counters. Thanks to GKM hanging Donovan up over the top rope, Azure tags in and takes down Donovan with a huge boot to the face. Donovan fights back hitting a double suplex on both GKM and Leo Sparrow, and hits Evil Kip with the hot tag. Kip takes out everyone and comes in like a ball of fire.

After some more tremendous back-and-forth between the six men, Sparrow gets a little too cocky and accidentally throws the spinach in the face of Donovan.  Donovan chokeslams Somerset, and Azure, and hits a double chokeslam on both members of the Birds of the Sun. He calls for one more and Kip tags himself in. They land a double chokeslam on Sparrow, and Kip covers to get the win. Bryce Donovan and Evil Kip have a date with Adrenaline Express (VSK and Eric James) very soon.

After the match, The Sweeper comes out to sweep the ring of all the spinach. Los Toxicos (Nat Castle, Sebby Amor, and Iutik Sucio) come out and attack him. Castle cuts a promo on how she will be the future Create A Pro Women’s Champion, Sweeper cuts a promo about how someone back in the locker room isn’t happy about him getting interrupted. Rhino comes out and we get a tag team match.

Rhino and The Sweeper vs. Los Toxicos

Winners: Rhino and The Sweeper

The match starts with The Sweeper and Amor kicking things off for their respective teams. Amor quickly gains the upper hand, but not for long as The Sweeper lands a huge Russian leg sweep on Amor. The Sweeper tags in Rhino, while Amor tags in Sucio. The two big men face off and Rhino gains the upper hand with a big shoulder block. Rhine continues his onslaught on the young up-and-comer by landing some big chops in the corner.

Rhino sends Sucio into the opposite corner and calls for a spear. Unfortunately for him, Castle grabs his leg to distract him. This leads to the referee kicking out Castle. Rhino tags in The Sweeper again and he takes the fight to Amor. However, Amor has other plans as he drops The Sweeper face first on the top turnbuckle, and lands a huge clothesline for just a two-count.

The Sweeper tries to fight back and attempts a crossbody on Sucio, but Sucio catches him with a big fallaway slam. As Sucio mocks Rhino and attempts to hit the gore, The Sweeper jumps over him and lands the hot tag on Rhino. Amor tags in for his team and Rhino quickly takes the fight to Amor and Sucio. Ultimately, Rhino lands a gore on Amor to win the match for him and The Sweeper.

Nat Castle & Ariela Nyx vs. “The Chaotic Cowgirls” Ava Everett & Shannon LeVangie

Winners: Nat Castle & Ariela Nyx

“Latina Spice” Nat Castle makes her way back out to the ring, followed by her tag team partner, Ariela Nyx. This is a very interesting pairing, especially cause Nyx’s issues with Gabby Forza in the past. Aside from being the general manager at Create A Pro, Nyx is also an established wrestler and it’s always fun to get to see her compete. Shannon LeVangie and Ava Everett make their way down to the ring, and they are the clear-cut fan favorites.

Castle and Nyx jump Everett and LeVangie from behind to kick things off, but the “Chaotic Cowgirls” are quickly able to turn things around in their favor. Everett and LeVangie land a superkick on Castle and Nyx simultaneously. When the match truly gets underway, LeVangie and Castle are the legal competitors. LeVangie looks good in the beginning, but thanks to a distraction by Nyx, Castle quickly gains the upper hand.

Castle and Nyx continue their beatdown on LeVangie. Both LeVangie and Nyx hit each other with a facebuster, and this was LeVangie’s opening to tag in her fresh partner. Everett comes in and quickly takes the fight to Castle. Amor sneaks in and tries to get the best of Everett, but Everett sends him packing. This leads to Castle sending spice into the face of Everett, and locking in the armbar to force her to tap out.

Bill Straus, Pat Teller, & Quinton Griffin vs. Vargas

Winner: Vargas

Bill Straus makes his way down to the ring, accompanied by two of his “employees.” He says that tonight he will beat Vargas. He introduces his employees as Pat Teller and Quinton Griffin. Straus says that they will beat Vargas here tonight. He then calls Vargas out, and Vargas quickly makes his way down to the ring. Vargas makes his way down to the ring accompanied by Ariela Nyx.

Teller and Griffin charge at Vargas and Vargas quickly takes them out. Vargas lands a huge powerslam on Griffin, as Straus pleads with Vargas to stop. Teller suffers a similar fate, as Vargas lands a slam on him. Vargas lands a double chokeslam on Teller and Griffin all while Straus watches on. Straus tells Vargas he’ll pay him to not hurt him. Vargas doesn’t listen and lands a huge chokeslam on Straus.

This match is firmly in Vargas’s favor. Ultimately, Vargas lands three powerbomb on Straus and stacks Straus and his employees up for the easy pin. After the match, Nyx says Vargas can pick his opponent for the 10th Anniversary show on May 11th. Vargas chooses PCO in a no-disqualification match. Vargas continues to look more dominant than ever before, which is scary because he’s always been a massive force on the Create a Pro roster. Vargas’s showdown with PCO in May is going to be absolute insanity.

Create A Pro Championship match: Aaron Rourke (c) vs. Dante Drago

Winner: AND STILL Create A Pro Champion, Aaron Rourke

Dante Drago makes his way down to the ring first and gets a great ovation from the Create A Pro faithful. Drago earned this spot against Crawford, Bronson, and Vargas, in a four-way match at the last show. It’s awesome seeing Drago in this spot as he more than deserves it. Don’t sleep on Drago. However, one person stands in his way, the Create A Pro champion, Aaron Rourke. Rourke makes his way down to the ring next and gets a nice ovation from the fans as well. He has a real case to make that he is one of the best around today on the Create A Pro roster, and it’s easy to see why.

The match starts with a collar-elbow tie-up between the two men. Rourke takes his time, playing to the crowd and showing that he’s unbothered by Drago. Rourke lands a big shoulder block on Drago. However, Drago trips Rourke up and we get more of a feeling out process between the two men. Drago lands a big spinning powerbomb on Rourke for just a two-count. Rourke lands a big enziguri on Drago who’s on the apron, sending him crashing to the floor.

Rourke lands a double knee to the face move on Drago as Drago tries to enter the ring, and pins him for just a two-count. Drago tries to fight back, to no avail as Rourke continues to control the match. Rourke talks some trash to Drago and the two brawl in the middle of the ring. The two men land a double crossbody on each other, and both men are down, and the crowd is firmly behind Drago. This fires up Drago, and he lands his finishing move on Rourke but gets just a two-count.

Ultimately, Rourke lands his finishing move on Drago and pins him to retain the Create A Pro Championship. This was an amazing showing by both men. Dante Drago had easily the best match of his career in this match and showed exactly why he can hang with the best, and that he is destined for big things. Rourke continues to show why he is in the group of the best of the best.

Tristian Kyle vs. JGeorge

Winner: Tristian Kyle

Tristian Kyle makes his way down to the ring when we get back from intermission. He comes out to try and give the Lynbrook fans some beauty tips. This draws out JGeorge and the two begin to brawl. A referee comes out and the match is made official. JGeorge starts the match by landing some strikes on Kyle who’s in the corner. Kyle proceeds to drop JGeorge face-first onto the ring post, and JGeorge crashes and burns to the outside.

When JGeorge gets back into the ring, he’s hurt and bloodied up from the fall. Kyle continues the onslaught on JGeorge who is still trying to gain his bearings. Then, Kyle unleashes a scary beatdown on JGeorge, showing a side of Tristian Kyle that we’ve never seen before. Kyle tries to fight back, to no avail as Kyle continues on his vicious attack. The referee calls for the bell saying that JGeorge can no longer compete.

After the match, JGeorge has to be helped to the back. This was a very interesting turn of events. Kyle showed a new side here, and I’m looking forward to seeing how it plays out and where Kyle goes from here. I look forward to a future match between Kyle and JGeorge at a later date.

CAP TV Championship match: Jake Lang (c) vs. Love Doug

Winner: AND STILL CAP TV Champion, Jake Lang

Love Doug makes his way down to the ring first, with the fans very much behind him. However, he has a very tall task in front of him here, in the form of “The Artist,” Jake Lang. Lang makes his way down to the ring next as boos rain down on him. The match kicks off with a collar-elbow tie-up between the two men. Love Doug attempts a quick pin for a quick kick out by Lang. The two continue to engage in a feeling-out process of sorts.

Love Doug beats up on Lang in the ringside area before throwing him back in the ring and attempting a German suplex. Lang counters, but Love Doug continues to remain in control. When Love Doug attempts a big suplex from the outside of the ring to the inside, Lang falls to the ground and sweeps the legs of Love Doug. Lang has the match firmly in his favor now as he continues to beat down the beloved Love Doug.

Lang lands a picture-perfect fisherman suplex on Love Doug but just gets a two-count. Love Doug finally begins to fight back, landing some big strikes on flying forearms. After some more great back-and-forth action, Lang eventually lands his huge spear out of nowhere to pin Love Doug and retain the CAP TV Championship. Lang continues to look great on this reign, and it’s always a pleasure seeing Love Doug. This was truly a very fun match.

Create A Pro Championship #1 Contender’s Lucky 7 Gauntlet match: Phil Cardigan vs. CPA vs. Liam Davis vs. Nick Robles vs. Bobby Orlando vs. Jack Tomlinson vs. VSK

Winner: AND NEW #1 Contender for the Create A Pro Championship,

In the main event of the evening, we see seven of the best wrestlers on the Create A Pro roster go at it in a Lucky 7 gauntlet match. VSK, Nick Robles, Liam Davis, Jack Tomlinson, CPA, Phil Cardigan, and Bobby Orlando each fight for a shot at destiny in this match. The winner earns a shot at Aaron Rourke and his Create A Pro Championship at the next show, which has all the makings to be one of the biggest shows in Create A Pro history.

The match kicks off with Phil Cardigan and CPA, two of the biggest fan favorites in Create A Pro history. This was an entertaining match. Cardigan and CPA work insanely well together, and it was easy to see why here. Both men not only got to showcase their talent but continued to show why they are two of the absolute favorites at Create A Pro. Eventually, after a very fun back-and-forth, CPA hits a Death Valley Driver on Cardigan to eliminate him. Liam Davis is the next man out.

Davis wastes little time and attacks CPA on the outside of the ring. He sends CPA head first into the guardrail before sending him back into the ring and attempting a pin for just a two-count. Davis gave CPA little time to try and get back into this match. CPA attempts his big top rope dropkick, but Davis moves out of the way. This leads to Davis hitting his finishing move on CPA to eliminate him. Nick Robles is out next.

This is a very interesting pairing as these two men have had quite the rivalry as of late at Create A Pro. Robles takes the fight immediately to Davis and gets the best of him fairly quickly. However, Davis lands a big lariat on Robles to take him down and stop the momentum of “The Rockerboy.” Robles lands a big famouser from the top rope to eliminate Davis. Bobby Orlando is out next.

Orlando is another major fan favorite in Create A Pro and is a favorite to win this entire match. Orlando gives Robles some time to regroup as a sign of respect after Robles’ tough fight with Davis. Eventually after a very fun back-and-forth match between these two men, Orlando puts Robles away with a Bobby Cutter from the top rope. Jack Tomlinson is out next. This was very interesting as we saw the new side of Jack Tomlinson at Create A Pro. From the original social media star, to “The Leading Man” of professional wrestling, Tomlinson has had quite the reinvention.

Orlando wastes little time, taking out Tomlinson with a tope suicida. Then, Orlando continues his beat down on Tomlinson inside the ring. However, Tomlinson rolls to the outside to regroup. The two then brawl at ringside. When the match spills back over in the ring, Orlando attempts to go high risk, but Tomlinson sweeps his leg and sends Orlando crashing and burning down to the mat. As Tomlinson attempts a curb stomp, Orlando lands a buckle bomb and follows that up with a Bobby Cutter to eliminate Tomlinson. Out comes the final competitor, VSK.  After the match between Orlando and Tomlinson, Tomlinson snaps. Tomlinson attacks Orlando with a chair from behind and lands a curb stomp on the chair as VSK looks on with pleasure.

VSK taunts with his Create A Pro Tag Team Championship belt before pinning Orlando for just a two-count. He then lands a huge superkick on Orlando and gets another two-count. Orlando tries to fight back, but VSK lands a brutal backbreaker on Orlando and pins him, but yet again just gets a two-count. Then, Orlando lands a big sunset flip bomb from the top rope on VSK for just a two-count. Orlando attempts a big elbow drop from the top rope, but VSK gets the knees up, damaging Orlando’s elbow in the process. VSK follows this up with an ego driver for another two-count. The referee gets knocked down, and VSK tries to use his belt, but Orlando ducks and lands a backstabber of his own.

Eventually, after more incredible back-and-forth action, Orlando lands a huge Bobby Cutter on VSK to win the match. After the match, Aaron Rourke comes out to the entranceway and stares down Orlando. Rourke yells that Orlando will never have the belt because he’s not “championship material.” It’s official. On May 11th at the 10th Anniversary of Create A Pro, Aaron Rourke will put the Create A Pro Championship on the line against Bobby Orlando.

Hello, my name is Scott Mitchell and I have been a professional wrestling fan since 2005. Like everyone the first promotion I really fell in love with is the WWE.
