Bobby Flaco is one of the most exciting and interesting professional wrestlers in and out of the ring. Bobby comes to the ring with unmatched energy, sometimes on his dirtbike and always putting those hands up, along with the crowd.

Bobby was trained by AR Fox and has been wrestling for 7 years. His hard work has earned him big matches at ACTION wrestling in his home state of Georgia against the likes of AC Mack, Ashton Starr, Alan Angels, Billie Starkz and current WWE star and former tag team partner, Uriah Connors.

Whenever Bobby is not in the ring he is typically traveling, and a lot of times that takes him to exotic locations that most of us would not even think about going to. Bobby has been to places like Lima, Argentina, Guatemala, deep into the Amazon, and many more places. Bobby goes to all these places on a budget and shows you how to do the same on his YouTube channel.

I got to ask Bobby about his wrestling career, his traveling, and what is next for him.

Most of your time is spent wrestling and going to exotic locations. When did you decide to become a wrestler and when did you know that you liked traveling?

Well, we all have that dream as a kid. In my case real life kinda got in the way, until I saw some of my friends doing it. A kid from my high school started at wwa4 so that kinda inspired me to start. Again with the travel, I had that vision as a kid until I started doing it with wrestling and really got hooked. Especially my first South America wrestling trip. During that I definitely decided I’m gonna do it like this forever.

You were trained by AR Fox, along with a lot of other amazing young wrestlers. What was it like training with him and what do you think he does that makes his students seem to stand apart from other wrestlers?

Training with AR Fox is really such a unique experience. I was part of his first real class and I really feel like he’s the first coach to take the training wheels off. He also has a way of letting you be yourself, it’s almost required. We have a discipline and a work standard that I think contributes to what people notice about us. Our strange mix of freedom and imperative hard work and discipline. He also teaches etiquette very well. I could go on for days haha but it’s hard not to be great with an example like Fox. Plus being around for Theory, Ruff, Angles, all people I started with. Now this new class is just fuckin outstanding (Danger, Rico, Terry) and the next one is only going to be better.

You come out to the ring with a lot of energy and the crowd seems to embrace you, no matter where you go, especially the kids. Why do you think you connect with the fans so well?

I just try to think of what people really wanna do. I know i got an opportunity to do what people wanna do, and that’s have fun. I try to do like, things people can pick up on and give me back. (Ay ay, hands up) I get a lot of inspiration from djs and music performance. Any genre. I just wanna have fun with the people and kinda think that’s all they want too.

You were in the Clusterfuck this year, during Wrestlemania week. This show was after midnight on Saturday and was akin to a hallucination to those in the crowd. What was it like with over 80 very unique personalities in the locker room and then actually participating in the match?

That was such a cool experience. To be on a huge stage like that with my homies meant everything. Even Ayla Fox was there. It was a masterpiece and I’m super glad I got to be a part.

What have you been most proud of in your wrestling career so far?

I think my reputation as a person is the thing I’m most proud of in my career. It’s at least what I strive for.

You have a very unique You Tube channel where you visit international places on the cheap. Resulting in you staying at a lot of hostels and people’s houses. My favorite one was where you stayed with a woman and her child, and the child was very interested in you. Has there been a favorite place that you have visited and have you been anywhere that you were a little scared for your life?

I think my favorite place I’ve been is the Amazon for sure. Nothing like being there and I’ve only got a small taste so far. I’ve definitely been in places where I was on guard but I don’t think I’ve feared for my life. I will say with bugs and mosquitoes is the most I’ve feared for my life to be honest. Wearing a long shirt for weeks just now in the Amazon was crazy haha. (For to avoid mosquitoes).

What got you interested in traveling and when did you realize that you were able to do it without spending a ton of money?

I’ve always been interested in it for sure. The first time traveling to South America really helped put all that into perspective. Getting a $6 hostel the first time changed everything. You just gotta actually experience that to believe it, cause it does seem ridiculous to leave the country without a huge sum of money haha.

I understand that you are an Expedia Affiliate and can help people plan their trips. Can you tell us what you do in regard to that and how it came about?

The Expedia thing is pretty recent. Whilst looking for avenues to make money I came across Amazon affiliates. It seemed cool but I wanted something more suited to what I do. Travel companies seemed like the way, and Expedia is the only one that approved me so far haha. It’s really just something to learn and expand on. Who knows where it’ll go. I’ll help anyone out with travel who really wants to go.

What do you find to be a key to having a good trip. Do you plan everything out, or are there certain days or trips that you just kind of see where the day takes you?

Interesting. I think it’s a balance of planned and unplanned. For example, I planned half this recent Peru trip and half I left unplanned. It’s important to have shit figured out when you land, in my opinion. However, it’s also important to not be tied down, as well as to listen to your body and rest when you need to. The unplanned half is where I spent it in the jungle. Places to stay can be cheaper if you get them in person too.

Where have you been that has the best food?

Mmmm I’m not a huge food guy. It’s not like a source of joy or a part of my personality. That being said Mexico, Guatemala and Peru I guess. Tacos chicken and rice are always good haha. On a budget too, sometimes I just need to get full and continue my adventure.

Other than traveling and wrestling, what else should we know about Bobby Flaco?

I’ve been riding dirt bikes my whole life and raced at a national level by the age of 7. Just another thing I can add to my character.

Do you have any goals in regards to wrestling or travel that you would like to accomplish in the next year and where can we find Bobby?

Dude if I can just keep going up, I’ll be beyond satisfied. Definitely doin some wild shit in the next year though. Bobs Here.
