Matt Cardona captured the Wrestlepalooza Championship at yesterday’s F1RST Wrestling event “Blood, Sweat, & Beers: VI” in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Cardona ended the 420 day reign of Devon Monroe.
After winning the championship on Sunday August 11, Cardona tweeted, “I’m not even medically cleared yet and I STILL just won another championship!”
On April 18th, Cardona received surgery for a torn pec. Despite not being cleared for in ring action, Cardona has still been making appearances at independent wrestling events across the globe. He will make his return to in-ring competition on Sunday August 25 at night two of GCW’s Homecoming, as he teams with Broski Jimmy Lloyd to take on Matt Hardy and Nick Gage.
