Rina Yamashita Celebrates 2 Years As GCW Ultraviolent Champion

Japanese deathmatch star Rina Yamashita has officially passed the two year mark of being the Game Changer Wrestling Ultraviolent Champion.

Yamashita took to Twitter to celebrate the achievement by saying,

And on August 14th it will be two years since I became GCW Ultra Violent Champion!
It’s been two years since this day
I feel like it was fate that I was able to defend my title at GCW on the same day as two years ago, and in Japan
I’ll be going to many more places with this belt! Go as far as you can! LFG!!

Yamashita actually captured the GCW Ultraviolent Championship at GCW Homecoming on August 13, 2022, when she defeated then champion Alex Colon inside the Carousel Room at The Showboat in Atlantic City, New Jersey. In her 2 year reign as champion, Yamashita has 20 successful title defenses and has defeated the likes of John Wayne Murdoch, Masha Slamovich, Mance Warner, Ciclope, and others.
