AEW star Thunder Rosa will return to the Mission Pro ring to challenge Izzy Moreno for the Mission Pro Championship on Saturday, August 17, at “Midsummer Blast”.

Rosa has been a thorn in Izzy’s side on the past couple of Mission Pro shows. She put Izzy in a San Antonio Stampede match against JP Harlow, for Izzy to earn a shot at the championship. Then, during Izzy’s match against the champion, Tiffany Nieves, she sent in a fake Thunder Rosa to try to distract Izzy, while the real Rosa was at an AEW event. These attempts to derail Izzy did not work, as she was able to defeat Tiffany for the title. It appears that Thunder Rosa’s last attempt is to take matters into her own hands and take the title off of Izzy herself.

As if this match was not big enough, earlier this week Mission Pro announced that this will be their final event for the foreseeable future. They said that this will not be the end of Mission Pro, but they will not have any other shows in 2024.

Midsummer Blast will take place at the Salvation Army Mission Corps in San Antonio on Saturday, August 17 at 6pm, and will air live on Title Match Network.
