Independent wrestling promotion Violence x Suffering has rebranded as ARRIVAL Wrestling.
In a statement released on Twitter, the promoter and producer Isaac Rodriguez felt like it was time for a “fresh chapter”.
“After four successful years with VxS, Rodriguez believes it’s time for a fresh chapter. ARRIVAL will combine the worlds of anime and professional wrestling, with a focus on spotlighting emerging pro wrestlers who are not signed to major companies. The promotion is dedicated to providing a platform for talent of color and up- and-coming stars, ensuring high production value and unforgettable first time ever matchups. ARRIVAL is set to become a leading force on the US independent wrestling scene, providing fans with a unique, uncensored and exciting experience all while breaking out new talent.”
The next show and first event under the ARRIVAL Wrestling banner was also announced in the statement. On Friday November 22nd, “ARRIVAL 3” will take place at The Williams Center in Rutherford, New Jersey. This will be the first wrestling event taking place at this venue.
ARRIVAL Wrestling followed this all up with another tweet regarding the new show announcement. UK star Michael Oku will be making his debut at ARRIVAL 3. The former RevPro Undisputed British Heavyweight Champion has been in the ring with a who’s who of professional wrestling, including Donovan Dijak, Lio Rush, MJF, and PAC, to name a few. His match hasn’t been announced as of yet.
