On August 24th at GCW Homecoming, Nick Gage was scheduled to take on Drew Parker in a deathmatch. Game Changer Wrestling owner Brett Lauderdale appeared in the ring and addressed the crowd, stating Nick Gage would not be wrestling that night, and was unsure when he would be back inside a GCW ring.

This past Saturday, Nick Gage made a surprise appearance at Battleground Championship Wrestling which took place at the 2300 Arena.

Last night Nick Gage was a guest on the Blvd Bullies podcast where he was asked about his status in GCW, his relationship with Brett Lauderdale, being in rehab, possible future opponents, and more.

Gage on his status with GCW:

First off, Brett Lauderdale is my friend, my best friend. He’s done a lot for my career. GCW is always going to be my home. I love Brett. I love his family. Sometimes, you have to move on in your career Sometimes you don’t see eye to eye with your friends. Maybe down the road we can sit down. It’s a little bit of everything. Life moves on.

Gage on the rumors of him being in rehab:

I am proud that I went there. I will never apologize for that. I was exhausted. I was headed down the wrong path. I’m glad I noticed that and that I had people in my corner. I’m glad I went there. It helped me out. I will never apologize for going there. Nobody made me leave that place. I’m a grown ass man. Nobody makes me do anything. I left because I felt good. I was good.

Gage on possible dream opponents:

I need to make up with Drew Parker for that whole situation. I would love to get back in the ring with him. I’d like to apologize for that situation. I’m sorry that that happen and I apologize for that. I would love to get into ring with Hoodfoot. Hoodfoot is one of my favorites. Let’s see who else. Let’s get some wrestling guys. I would love to get back in the ring with Jordan Oliver once his knee gets better. Let’s get Zilla Fatu in there. Let’s go with WWE a little bit. I would love to get back in the ring with Drew Gulak.
