Sawyer Wreck has won the NGI9 tournament and GCW Ultraviolent Championship in her final night as a professional wrestler.
On October 27th, Wreck announced that she would be stepping away from professional wrestling, and that GCW’s NGI9 will be her final night as a pro wrestler. At tonight’s NGI9 in Orlando, Florida, Wreck defeated NGI7 winner John Wayne Murdoch in the opening round. She then went on to defeat Drew Parker to make her way to the finals in the tournament.
In the finals of the tournament, Wreck met the GCW Ultraviolent Champion Brandon Kirk with the title on the line. She came out the victor against GCW’s MVP of 2024, and became the new GCW Ultraviolent Champion as well as the NGI9 winner.
Wreck went on to state that she will vacate the championship and have the next person earn it in a ladder match at GCW’s upcoming Hammerstein Ballroom show on January 19, 2025.
As Sawyer finished up her speech, a masked person entered the ring and attacked her. She received skewers in her head and was sent face first into the mat. The mystery person unmasked and was revealed to be Atticus Cogar. Former GCW Ultraviolent Champion Brandon Kirk ran in to make the save.
Cogar previously had a falling out with GCW owner Brett Lauderdale and hasn’t competed in GCW since February of 2022. Cogar is also the current ICW American Deathmatch Champion.
