Prestige Wrestling’s next big show, Roseland X, will take place on Saturday, January 11th, 2025 at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon. It will stream live for the cost of FREE starting at 10:00 EST on Prestige’s YouTube channel.
Lots of cool matchups on this one. The legendary Masato Tanaka appears to battle Calvin Tankman, and a grudge match for the Prestige Tag Team Championships as Sinner & Saint defend against Ultra Power. Let’s get on with a preview and some predictions for the show!

Midnight Heat vs. The Hammer Brothers
These teams are both stalwarts of the current PNW tag scene. They last met at POW! Pro Wrestling in the first half of 2024 with the Hammer Brothers emerging victorious. Recently the Heat seem to be “leveling up” with being advertised to take on FTR, and subsequently defeating SCU instead. Plus a budding feud with the Outrunners. I think the Heat win here and keep their momentum going.
Prediction: Midnight Heat

Timothy Thatcher vs. Adam Priest
Preist, who recently lost the DPW National Title after a 154-day reign, is putting on excellent matches across the country these days. My choice for breakout star of 2025 (Roll Tide!), this seems like a good spot for him to get a victory over an established veteran like Thatcher, who looks to be more focused on WWE ID related matters currently.
Prediction: Adam Priest

Kylie Rae vs. Matt Brannigan
This matchup really tugs at the heart strings. Rae, who has been WWE ID’d, just dropped the Freelance World Title after completing her third reign as champion. Brannigan meanwhile is riding a wave of fan support and defeated Evan Rivers in his last Prestige Wrestling appearance. This stacks up to be a highly entertaining and competitive match. I give the slight edge to Kylie here and will pick her to win it.
Prediction: Kylie Rae

Masha Slamovich vs. Hyan
Hyan is a product of the ROW training camp and has consistently been growing her name across the indies. When this matchup was first announced, lots of folks were excited to see these two face off. Their most recent encounter was at West Coast Pro’s Queen of the Indies tournament, where Hyan emerged victorious in the finals. Slamovich’s stock continues to rise and is the current TNA Knockouts Champion. This should be a very competitive matchup, with Slamovich getting the win.
Prediction: Masha Slamovich

Devil’s Playground Match – Drexl and Matt Tremont vs. Elliot Tyler and Sid Sylum
At Prestige’s last event, ‘Always the Hard Way’, Tyler defeated Drexl in a one-on-one encounter with help from Sylum, a former friend of Drexl. The story of this feud so far has been Tyler pretty consistently getting the upper-hand on Drexl, who was on the brink of retirement a couple of months ago. I could see this one going either way, but bringing in Tremont feels like a good opportunity for Drexl to exact some violent revenge on Tyler and Sylum.
Prediction: Drexl and Matt Tremont

Prestige World Tag Team Championships – Sinner & Saint (c) vs. Ultra Power (Jaiden & Amira)
The stipulations here are if S&S get disqualified or anyone interferes on their behalf, they will lose the tag team titles. This has the feel of an old-school territory tag feud, with S&S having been champions for a year, often cheating to retain their titles. Jaiden & Amira meanwhile, recently started teaming and are both very popular with the PNW crowds. This is one of the matches I am most looking forward to on this entire card. I can really make a case for Ultra Power getting the titles here, but my gut says S&S finds a way to retain and perhaps a rematch main events a future Prestige show down the road.
Prediction: Sinner & Saint retain.

Kevin Blackwood vs. Josh Alexander
Alexander recently announced he would be wrapping up independent matches, at the same time as is TNA contract is reportedly coming up. Blackwood meanwhile is just a machine when it comes to having great technical matches, having been the West Coast Pro champion for most of 2024. I just think this is a spot where Alexander is on his goodbye tour on the indies and will likely end up on the losing side of this matchup with Blackwood.
Prediction: Kevin Blackwood

Masato “Freakin” Tanaka vs. Calvin Tankman
So yeah, Tanaka is a legend and at age 51 is still working pretty regularly for promotions like NOAH and various indies. Likely most known in the US for his series of matches with Mike Awesome during the latter days of ECW, his hardcore style is one that just about all fans appreciate. Tankman is generally just a beast, and was the DPW World Champion for nearly a year and just made the finals of the West Coast Pro King of Indies tournament. When legends make the rounds for these types of matches, it’s always an attraction, but I can never seem to tell who will win between the legend and the up and comer. Tankman deserves a victory here so let’s go with him.
Prediction: Calvin Tankman

Prestige Wrestling World Championship – Alan Angels (c) (w/ mustache) vs. Mike Santana
Angels is back in action here after missing around two months due to injury. Mike Santana has done nothing but great stuff since leaving AEW and embarking on a singles run. From working in TNA, to being HOG Champion, and having great showings at promotions like ETU and Freelance Wrestling. Santana’s win/loss record speaks for itself and shows why he’s deserving of a title shot, even if there’s not a deep personal issue between him and Angels. Could Mike Santana make a great Prestige World Champion? Absolutely. But will it happen here at Roseland X? My guess is no, at least not yet.
Prediction: Alan Angels retains.
