On Friday, January 17th, House Of Glory returned to the Logan Square Auditorium in Chicago for the first event of 2025, “Watch The Throne.” The show streamed live on TrillerTV+.
One of the big marquee matches of the night saw Zilla Fatu putting the House Of Glory Crown Jewel Championship on the line against Matt Cardona. During a promo Cardona cut before the match, he announced that Fatu had a “tummy ache,” and was sick. This left Cardona with no opponent as he threatened to leave Chicago.
Out of nowhere as Cardona began climbing out of the ring, music hit, and out walked Mustafa Ali. Ali is a native of Chicago, and seeing him fill in for Fatu at a show in his hometown is certainly a welcomed surprise. Ali and Cardona put on a terrific match which ultimately ended in Ali being victorious after hitting a 450-splash.
This marked Ali’s first appearance in House Of Glory since he unsuccessfully challenged Zilla Fatu for the House Of Glory Crown Jewel Championship. After the match, Ali announced House Of Glory is returning to Chicago on May 9th.
