After being teased by Drew Cordeiro last week, the Beyond Wrestling X account announced that Wrestling Open would be expanding with a second show. The working title is “Wrestling Open RI” and will debut at the Rhodes On The Pawtuxet venue in Cranston, RI on March 31, 2025 at 7pm ET. Being presented by Championship Melt Food Truck.

Cordeiro then tweeted:

This is an incredible opportunity for independent wrestlers looking to hone their craft and get meaningful reps in front of a supportive fanbase.

Our programming in Worcester averaged 228 fans every Thursday in 2024 and 7 of the 18 WWE ID Prospects are Wrestling Open regulars!

This idea apparently came from a discussion last summer and has been a project for Cordeiro since last September after a conversation with Gabe Sapolsky, WWE Creative Consultant & Domestic Talent Scout and former booker for ROH, EVOLVE, and DGUSA.
