Leyla Hirsch has replaced Cassie Lee in Smash Women’s Championship Match against Jody Threat.

Smash Wrestling stated that due to unforseen circumstances, Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay would no longer appearing at their Rebel Mania event. Cassie Lee was scheduled to take on Jody Threat for the Smash Women’s Championship, with Jessica McKay in her corner. At the previous Smash event on March 1st, Lee had her first match in professional wrestling since October 2023 against Alexia Nicole.

Stepping up to replace Lee is someone that is making her return to independent wrestling, Leyla Hirsch. Hirsch will now challenge Jody Threat for the championship, trying to end her championship reign of over 200 days. Hirsch is once again a free agent after her AEW/ROH contract wasn’t renewed. She will be competing at Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII several days before this, on April 17th in Las Vegas.

The match will take place on Sunday April 20th at the Rebel Entertainment Complex in Toronto, Canada. Tickets are available at RoguePresents.com.
