On Saturday, March 29th, Blitzkrieg! Pro returned to Enfield, CT for it’s event, “Through Being Cool.” The event streamed live on IWTV and was the second show of a double-header with Fight Life Pro.
The show was headlined by CPA putting the Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship on the line against Sammy Diaz. Check out the full show review below.
Ryan Mooney def. Bobby Orlando
The opening match of the night saw “Rabid” Ryan Mooney go one-on-one with “The GOATEST of All Time” Bobby Orlando. This was a collision of the Animal Kingdom as the “GOAT vs. BADGER” opened the show. There was a stare down between Mooney Jr. and Bobby Jr. which the fans loved before the action kicked off.
Mooney and Orlando did a fantastic job at hyping up the crowd and setting the tone for what would be a very fun show. Ultimately, Mooney hit his finishing move, the “Liquid Death” on Orlando. Mooney secured the rubber match win against Orlando, in a fantastic opening match.
Mooney is on fire in Blitzkrieg!, and he has to be getting looks for some gold sooner rather than later in Blitzkrieg! Pro. Easily one of the best around today. Mooney could very well get some gold around his waist at some point in 2025.
No More Heroes (Kirby Wackerman, Stephen Azure, & Steve Somerset) def. Spike Nishimura, Sazzy Boatright, & Perry Von Vicious
In the second match of the night, we saw No More Heroes, Kirby Wackerman, Stephen Azure, and Steve Somerset compete in trios action. They were supposed to face Spike Nishimura, Sazzy Boatright, and Harleen Lopez, but unfortunately Lopez wasn’t able to make it. So Spike and Sazzy found a suitable replacement in the human monster truck, Perry Von Vicious.
The fans were firmly behind Spike, Sazzy, and Perry Von Vicious, and they equally despised the No More Heroes group. Sazzy had some fun at Azure’s and Somerset’s expense with a fun little thrust in the beginning of the match which popped the crowd. Ultimately, thanks to a distraction from Delta House, Perry took his eyes off the prize which led to Kirby Wackerman hitting a head but to win.
Even in defeat, Sazzy and Spike looked great together and it’s always a blast seeing Perry. As for No More Heroes, they continue their heel run at Blitzkrieg! Pro becoming a staple in the tag team division.
WWE ID Official match: Sean Legacy def. Marcus Mathers
In one of the night’s big marquee matches, two WWE ID talents faced off in a WWE ID Official match. This time, we saw Sean Legacy take on Marcus Mathers in an absolute banger of a match. The Blitzkrieg! Pro fans already know how good Mathers is, so this was a chance for Legacy to showcase his talents in front of the crowd. The crowd truly loved both of these men.
The match itself was incredible. Both men threw everything they had at each other and then some. They showed why they were WWE ID’d. Ultimately, Legacy hit his finishing move on Mathers to win the match. This was an absolutely incredible showcase from these two WWE ID talents that got a standing ovation.
This was the match of the night and this is a MUST WATCH for any wrestling fan. This could be in the Match of the Year consideration eight months from now. This was THE match.
Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championship Four Corners Elimination Match: TJ Crawford & B3CCA def. Miracle Generation (Dustin Waller & Kylon King) (c), Ancestral City Shooters (Joseph Alexander & Kwesi Asante), & East Coast Bastard Crew (Leary & Logan Black) to win the Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championships
It’s tough for anyone to follow up the match we just saw between Legacy and Mathers. However, these eight competitors did what they could and then some to put on an absolute banger. Miracle Generation’s Dustin Waller and Kylon King put their Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championships on the line in a four-corner elimination match against TJ Crawford & B3CCA, the Ancestral City Shooters (Joseph Alexander & Kwesi Asante) and the East Coast Bastard Crew (Leary & Logan Black).
One thing that has to be noted how East Coast Bastard Crew doesn’t get enough credit. Leary practically books Blitzkrieg! Pro and he always puts people over and looks tremendous doing it. That should NOT go unnoticed especially during a time where various promoters like to crown themselves as champions in there own company, and I covered a promotion recently where that exact thing happened.
The match itself was a fun elimination-style match. Leary low-blowed Asante and Alexander before ECBC hit their finisher on Asante to eliminate the Ancestral City Shooters. I can’t wait for a future ECBC and ACS match. ACS is a fun young tag team who have a very bright future. Kylon King took out ECBC when he pinned Leary after a moonsault. TJ Crawford and B3CCA, collectively known as B3TJC won the Blitzkrieg! Pro Tag Team Championships after B3TJC force Miracle Generation to tap out in simultaneous submissions. I’m very excited for the Crawford and B3CCA reign. Miracle Generation had an amazing reign, but it was time for a change. Great stuff all around.
Andy Brown def. Paul London
The next match was a little bit more tame than the previous two, and that’s certainly not a bad thing. Paul London gave the fans in attendance a show on his way down to the ring, singing his entrance song. Andy Brown had the fans firmly in his corner for this one, especially when he had B3CCA sing him down to the ring. This was a very fun and unexpected moment.
This was a fun and unserious match before heading into the intermission. It was a nice break from the non-stop craziness we’ve seen all night. This was a crazy match too, but in a much different way, but still had good action.
When all was said and done, Brown defeated London with a running elbow. I hope to see more of Brown at Blitzkrieg! and London is just a timeless wonder. It’s great to see what he can still do, despite his age.
Jensen Scramble Championship Qualifier: Ashley Vox def. Dante Drago, Nick Robles, Will Straus, & Erik Chacha
In the first match back from intermission, we saw the Jensen Scramble Qualifier match. Ashley Vox made her return as she squared off with Will Straus, Erik Chacha, Dante Drago, and Nick Robles for an opportunity to qualify for the Jensen Scramble Championship scramble match. This was a fun scramble match to return from intermission to.
After a hard fought match by all five competitors, Vox forced Drago to tap out when Perry Von Vicious distracted Drago and Robles, returning the favor to Delta House from earlier in night. Vox joins the fray for the Jensen Scramble Championship.
It’s so much fun to see Vox back in a ring after some time away. She looks poised for a big summer on the independent wrestling scene, and it’s fun to see her back doing what she does better than anyone.
JGeorge (w/ Lady Killjoy) def. Angelo Carter via DQ
The next match sees JGeorge, accompanied by Lady Killjoy, go one-on-one with Angelo Carter. This is a rivalry which has become a staple for Blitzkrieg! Pro for the past six months, and it’s been so much fun to watch. JGeorge and Carter used to be the best of friends, but they broke up as a tag team when JGeorge turned on Carter because JGeorge was jealous. Now, Carter looks to make JGeorge pay and it all culminates in this match between the two.
The fans were firmly behind Carter in this match. JGeorge and Carter killed it in this match. Lady Killjoy played the heel manager role perfectly in this match, which is an art that doesn’t always get appreciated and noticed. Ultimately, Carter gets disqualified when he uses the chair that JGeorge brought into the ring. It was so satisfying seeing Carter crack the chair over the skull of JGeorge, and a DQ was so worth it.
Carter and JGeorge rivalry is far from over. Carter’s single run has been awesome at Blitzkrieg! Pro. The world knows how good Carter is, and he’s not only great role model for many outside of the ring in the LGBTQ community, but he’s also terrific in the ring.
Krule def. Charles Mason
In one of the night’s marquee matches, we saw Krule meet the debuting Charles Mason in an absolutely hellacious match in the best way possible. This could have been my personal favorite match of the night. The viral photo of Krule looking over his shoulder to a sadistic Mason sitting in the corner just staring at him while smoking a cigar is a photo which tells 1,000 words. There was a chill in the air during the match, and this match had all the aura in the world.
Mason asked for more from Krule and continued his sadistic ways against the Atrocity. There was a funny moment in this match where Mason and Krule scared the referee, who was trying to count out both competitors. Simply put, this was a match between two of the independent wrestling scene’s most bloodthirsty competitors.
Ultimately, Krule defeated Mason when he hit his finisher on Mason after choking him with his belt. This was a must-watch for any independent wrestling fan. Krule rules. Charles Mason rules. This match ruled.
Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship: CPA (c) def. Sammy Diaz to retain the Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship
The main event of the show saw CPA put the Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship on the line against “Top Five Dead or Alive,” Sammy Diaz. This was a match months in the making as Diaz made his intentions known that he wants the Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Championship, and he doesn’t care how he gets it. This match was everything you thought it would be, and then some. It could have been one of the best Blitzkrieg! Pro main events in recent memory.
The match delivered on almost every aspect, and some fans even thought we were going to see a new Blitzkrieg! Pro Bedlam Champion at certain times in this match. Unfortunately for Diaz, that wasn’t going to be the case. Ultimately, CPA hits a Numbers Cruncher on Diaz to win the match and retain his title. This was a great main event to cap off a fantastic show.
Hopefully, Diaz gets his moment sooner than later to win the Bedlam Championship, as it seems like fans have been clamoring for a change and Diaz should be the guy to usher in a brand new era at Blitzkrieg! Pro.
