Pro Wrestling EVE 4/4/2025 Wrestle WoMania Recap and Review

We start the show with comedian, Sikisa, who is the host for the evening. EVE will typically have a comedian or drag performer host the event. This makes it feel like more of an event then just a wrestling show and warms up the crowd for the action.

Our first match is Sadie Gibbs against Emersyn Jayne. Sadie just came back to EVE recently and I had forgotten just how quick, athletic and amazing she is. What can I say about Emersyn, she just won a deathmatch title and is now taking on one of the most athletic wrestlers in Europe, so to say Emersyn is well-rounded would be an understatement.

Emersyn may have the power advantage, but Saddie Gibbs flies all over the ring. However, Emersyn answers with a standing Spanish Fly, followed by a Midge Driver for the win. Really fun opening match that showcased both wrestlers.

After the match, Millie McKenzie and Safire Reed attack Emersyn, but are run off by Rayne. The match maker, Dan comes out and says that the main event tonight is going to be Rayne and Emersyn Jayne against Safire and Millie in a tag team street fight. Safire and Millie are tough, but I do not think they want to be in a match with no rules against Emersyn.

The next match is a tag team match pitting Top Knocks, Ronnie Knocks and Ollie Fern, who are making their EVE debut against Pretty Psycho (Zoe Lucas and Amira). Pretty Psycho just came back from a rather successful tour of CMLL. This is Zoe’s first match in EVE since August of 2021 and everyone in the crowd and the ring could not be happier. Really fun opening sequence from Zoe and Ronnie to open the match. Ollie and Amira come in and Ollie, who has only been trained for one year, holds her own until Pretty Psycho hit some double team maneuvers and get the win. This was a really fun way to get Zoe back in EVE and debut some new talent at the same time.

The contract signing for the next EVE Championship match between Nightshade and Nina Samuels is up next and it is being moderated by Dan. This match will take place on May 2nd at EVE’s 15th Anniversary show.

After they both sign, Nina starts insulting Nightshade. Nightshade says that she is the child of EVE, because she sat in the front row at EVE shows when she was a kid, and the child of EVE will become EVE Champion. Nina slaps Nightshade and Nina’s assistant, Abi Cartwright, attacks Nightshade, and Nightshade chokeslams her into the table, which does not break, ouch. This segment was a bit long, but did the job in establishing Nightshade as the “child of EVE” looking to take the title from the evil Nina Samuels.

We take a break from the wrestling with our first drag performance of the event. This performer is very impressive with her use of hula hoops.

Our matches resume with a tag team championship match, as Lu-Wave, Aluna and Lucia Lee, who come out to Hot To Go, challenges Hard Up North. While some of this night may be very lighthearted, Lu-Wave do not look to take this match that way, as they attack HUN before the bell and look to show that they are serious contenders for the title. Lucy Sky impresses me more and more every time I see her, she is a powerhouse, but also very agile. Lucy gets the win for the HUNs after running the ropes multiple times before hitting a spear. This was an excellent match that went over 15 minutes and was probably the best match of the show so far.

After intermission we get a little bit of a party as Session Moth Martina makes her way to the ring. Martina’s opponent is Myla Grace, who is best known for her work at Marigold in Japan. She is incredibly fast and has a very unique offense. Myla has some of the most colorful and fun gear and is always smiling. This is a pretty fast paced match, which favored Myla and Myla gets the win after reversing a roll up.

The International Championship match is up next as Skye Smitson faces her mystery attacker, who turns out to be Anita Vaughn. This should be a really great match, as Vaughn is one of the fastest rising stars in Europe. Vaughn is giving me NWA heel vibes, like Rotunda or Windam, as she powerbombs Skye onto the apron. Vaughn is dominate and picks up a quick victory, establishing herself as one of the most hated women in EVE.

We take a breather after that match with a burlesque performance. This performer comes out as a duck, but the feathers quickly come off.

Our main event is next and it is a tag team street fight between Rayne Leverkusen and Emersyn Jayne against Safire Reed and Millie McKenzie. Rayne is one of the most unique looking and incredible people in wrestling. She always seems to be getting beat up, but always comes back. Facing Emersyn in a no DQ match has to be terrifying, as she can hit you with a suplex, a dive onto the floor, double knees from the top, a Van Terminator, or just hit you with any kind of weapon you can think of.

Emersyn starts bleeding after being hit with a baking sheet. Safire and Millie are working better as a team, which you would expect. They team up on Rayne, until Rayne gets the upper hand and Emersyn reappears. A really fun sequence to end the match, with all four of the women battling in the ring, Millie being thrown into  a table and Safire being pinned after Rayne hits her with a knee.

Another great show from EVE and probably one of my favorite shows that they have had recently. We had a little bit of everything in this show:  great matches from Emersyn and Sadie, along with the great tag team title match, we had the return of the EVE legend Zoe Lucas, the surprising title win of Anita Vaughn, and the violent no DQ main event.

Results:

  • Emersyn Jayne def Sadie Gibbs

  • Myla Grace def Session Moth Martina
