This Friday, April 11th, is one of the biggest all-women’s shows of the year, Uprising: Women Athletes 5.
To be fair, anytime that Uprising, which is a sister promotion of Dreamwave, has a show it will be one of the biggest all-women’s shows of the year. Since the inception of Uprising, they have produced some of the biggest stars and best matches in not only women’s wrestling, but all wrestling.

In the main event, Maggie Lee will put her Dreamwave Women’s Championship on the line against WWEID superstar Kylie Rae. Maggie has had quite a dominate title reign since winning the belt in a 4-way match. She has defended the title against AEW star Megan Bayne twice, then has a couple close calls with WWEID wrestler, Zayda Steel, but managed to escape with her title. She’s also defeated Brittanie Brooks.
However, Kylie Rae will present a whole new challenge for Maggie, as she has the most experience of anyone she has faced. Kylie always has a smile on her face, but she is always locked in and can make her opponents tap out at any moment.

Rebecca Scott will look to retain her Uprising Alternative Title in a 4-way match, pitting her against four of the top young, up and coming wrestlers in the country, Gabbie Forza, Airica Demia and Emily Jaye.
Scott is a flight attendant whenever she is not wrestling and is also a BJJ expert, so she will be all smiles on the way to the ring, but once the bell rings she will like to take her opponents down and make them tap. RJS has held the Alternative title for almost a year and is the only person to have held the title. However, she has three very unique and different opponents looking to make sure she doesn’t reach one year with the title.
Gabbie will look to use her strength to dominate the match, Airica will look to use her unique cosplay offense which has strikes coming from every angle and Emily, who is the dark horse, will try to outsmart her opponents and get a quick pinfall victory.

The one true pop star in professional wrestling, B3CCA, will take on Brittnie Brooks. B3CCA is known just as much for her music and antics out of the ring and she is known for her prowess in the ring, but once the match starts B3CCA will shock you with her toughness and her athleticism.
Brittnie is one of the fastest rising stars on the West Coast and in Uprising. She was the inaugural Dreamwave Women’s Champion, and only had the relinquish it because an injury, so she is looking to climb back up the rankings to the top of that title picture, however B3CCA is no one’s stepping stone and will look to climb the charts herself.

The WWEID star and New Texas Pro Women’s Champion, Zayda Steel will look to get another shot at the Dreamwave Women’s title, but first she will have to go through the leader of the emos, Brooke Havok.
Brooke has been one of the top wrestlers on the west coast and looks to keep her momentum going from her win over Hyan at the last Uprising show, while Zayda looks to bounce back from a loss against Maggie Lee.

There will also be a six women tag team match pitting Fallyn Grey, Shelly Benson and Ivy Malibu against Ashlyn Alexander, Aminah Belmont and Nixi XS.
Some wrestlers to keep an eye on in this match will be Fallyn Grey, who is a young star from Arizona who has proven to be incredibly tough and has a really fun look. Ashlyn Alexander has really made a name for herself in the Midwest in the past couple of years, she is extremely strong and powerful, but is also surprisingly quick and agile.

Zamaya will possibly have the biggest test of her career whenever she takes on the TNA Knockouts Champion, Masha Slamovich. She is still very early in her career, but has already wrestled in DEFY, F1RST, and ROH. She is as tough as they come, with a very intimidating look, but Masha has never been intimidated by anyone.

In other action, the international superstar, Shazza McKenzie will take on the Chicago Sweetheart, Missa Kate. In a battle of litteral giants, the two tallest women on the show, J-Rod and Stori Denali will face off. If you are not familiar with Stori, she is a 6’3 former Ohio State Volleyball player, she may not be the biggest name on this show but could have the most potential to be a huge star.

This stacked event is sold out, so unless you already have a ticket you will not be able to see it in person. However, it will be airing live on IWTV on Friday at 7 PM Central.
