Prestige Wrestling’s Roseland XI Preview

Prestige Wrestling’s next big show, Roseland XI, will take place on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 at the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon. It will stream live for the cost of zero dimes starting at 9:45pm EST on Prestige’s YouTube channel.

Alan Angels defends the World Championship against Timothy Thatcher, Calvin Tankman battles Tomohiro Ishii, and UltraPower defends the tag titles against the Midnight Heat, plus much more! Let’s get on with a preview and some predictions for the show!

Susumu Yokosuka vs. Ho Ho Lun vs. Ishin vs. Ethan HD

Lots to unpack in this one. Ethan HD is coming off a victory at Attribute of the Strong against Casey Ferreira. Ho Ho Lun, formerly of NXT, now calls Dragongate his home. Ishin and Yokosuka also hail from Dragongate, with Yokosuka more the veteran and Ishin still in the earlier parts of his career. Really not sure where to go with this one, but I’ll be rooting for Ethan HD, so let’s go with him.

Prediction: Ethan HD

KZY vs. Kevin Blackwood

KZY from the Dragongate promotion in Japan comes over to the states to take on a mainstay of the PNW, Kevin Blackwood. Blackwood is the current West Coast Pro Heavyweight Champion, though the title is not listed as being on the line as of this writing. I don’t expect Blackwood to take a loss here, but it will be fun to see him mix it up with the likes of KZY.

Prediction: Kevin Blackwood

Dog Collar Deathmatch: Elliot Tyler vs. Drexl

The blood feud continues between Drexl and Elliot Tyler. Sid Sylum has been aiding Tyler throughout, with Drexl having to bring in Matt Tremont to help even the odds at Roseland X. This very well could be the blowoff to this feud which has been going for several months. I think it’s time for Drexl to finally exact some one-on-one revenge and take the win over Tyler here.

Prediction: Drexl

West Coast Pro Tag Team Championships: Crush Boys (c) vs. Trevor Lee & Andrew Everett

The Crush Boys, Starboy Charlie and Titus Alexander, defeated Los Suavecitos back in October to win the titles. Since then they’ve defeated the likes of C4 and Grizzled Young Veterans to keep those titles. Lee and Everett have been highlights of the independents for years, and team up here to go after the tag straps. I cannot imagine this match being anything but exciting and high-flying, with the champs retaining the titles in the end.

Prediction: Crush Boys retain

AZM vs. Hyan

AZM’s star is rising over in Stardom as she makes her Prestige debut here at Roseland XI. Hyan’s career has been on a consistent rise as well, holding multiple titles on the independent scene. This match could very likely be a show stealer, and I expect the crowd to be torn. I’ll go with AZM to get the win in what should be an impressive match.

Prediction: AZM

Prestige Tag Team Championships: UltraPower (c) vs. Midnight Heat

At March’s Attribute of the Strong show, both teams were victorious in their respective matches. The Midnight Heat added an extra mark however, attacking Amira and Jaiden and laying them out to make a statement. The Heat’s challenge for the tag titles was accepted and the match takes place here at Roseland XI. Gibson and Pearl are former two-time Prestige Tag Team Champions, but haven’t had the belts since 2023. It feels like UltraPower’s reign is just beginning however, so I think they’ll find a way to keep the titles at this show, with a rematch coming in the near future.

Prediction: UltraPower retain

The Rascalz vs. Sinner & Saint

Sinner & Saint’s year-long tag title reign came to an end at Roseland X at the hands of UltraPower. Even with that, they’ve been making a name for themselves in TNA of late, a promotion the Rascalz are part of as well. In fact, these teams faced off on an episode of Impact in March, with Miguel and Wentz getting the victory. But now, the match takes place on the home turf of the former Prestige Tag Team Champions, and I think they bounce back with a win here.

Prediction: Sinner & Saint

Zack Sabre Jr. vs. Matt Brannigan

Zack Sabre Jr was the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion as recently as a few months ago. His track record of success and technical mastery make him a dangerous opponent for anyone. So the question is, can the tidal wave of momentum behind Matt Brannigan manage to topple the former New Japan champion? Brannigan has found ways to get a lot of victories in Prestige over the last year, even incorporating deadly flip maneuvers into his arsenal. I think the Prestige fans will be firmly behind Matt, but Sabre will manage to eek out a victory.

Prediction: Zack Sabre Jr.

Tomohiro Ishii vs. Calvin Tankman

Tankman had been slated to face Masato Tanaka at Roseland X, but the match unfortunately was unable to happen. He gets a chance once again here against another Japanese legend in Tomohiro Ishii. This is a tough one to call, as Ishii is one of the toughest competitors across the globe. My gut says that the younger, up and coming Tankman should get a landmark victory here.

Prediction: Calvin Tankman

Prestige World Championship: Alan Angels (c) vs. Timothy Thatcher

Angels second reign as champion has reached the 200-day mark as he looks to continue on top of Prestige going against Tim Thatcher. Thatcher is of course greatly experienced and is deserving of a title shot in any promotion based on his accomplishments. That said, with his involvement with WWE ID and sporadic appearances with Prestige, I believe Alan Angels will continue on as champion.

Prediction: Alan Angels retains
