Prestige Wrestling’s Roseland XI took place on April 12th, 2025 from the Roseland Theater in Portland, Oregon. The show can be seen for the price of no pesos on Prestige’s YouTube channel.

The announcers are Jordan Castle and Brian Zane.

Opening Contest: Kevin Blackwood vs. KZY

KZY comes to us from the Dragongate promotion, and gets a quick blockbuster to start. Blackwood catches him with a stiff kick and a back suplex. PK from Blackwood gets two. Doublestomp gets another two. KZY comes back with a flying back elbow and a Northern Lights suplex with a bridge for two. Uppercut connects, but Blackwood drills him with a lariat and a DVD for a close two count. Kevin goes for a top rope double footstomp which KZY avoids and lands a dragonscrew legwhip. They head up top where Blackwood can’t get a superplex and gets knocked off, allowing KZY to hit a frogsplash for two. They duke it out exchanging strikes and Blackwood gets an enzuigiri and roaring elbow. German suplex and a brainbuster by Blackwood gets a 2.9999 count. Helluva kick in the corner and top-rope double footstomp gets the victory for Kevin Blackwood. Fun and energetic opener. ***¼

X-Pac makes his appearance (in an nWo shirt) to the epic Run DMC version of the DX theme. He’s quickly interrupted by the World Champion Alan Angels. X-Pac gives him the two words and Alan looks to attack, but Tim Thatcher runs out to chase the champion.

Match Two: West Coast Pro Tag Team Championships – Crush Boys (c) vs. Trevor Lee and Andrew Everett

I should note the crowd is on fire tonight like me playing NBA Jam in 1993. Lee and Alexander begin and work to a stalemate of reversals. Everett and Charlie tag in. Another series of reversals and counters from these two. Lee angrily tags back in and gets hit with a spinning heel kick from Charlie. Tag to Alexander and the Crush Boys get a double dropkick, but stop to pose and Lee takes advantage. Everett jumps in with a springboard clothesline. Short arm clothesline gets two. Standing moonsault gets another two. Lee comes in with a big dropkick, and Everett is back in as they hit a dropkick/German suplex combo on Alexander for two. Titus fights out of the corner and dives to tag in Charlie. Double Pele kick and standing corkscrew moonsault gets two on Everett. To the top, where Everett gets a rana and two count on Charlie. Everett misses a shooting start and runs into a knee from Alexander. Lethal Injection from Alexander on Lee. Lee with a second wind now to run wild on the champions. Sitout powerbomb and a rana gets two. All four men are in now and Charlie gets a poison rana on Everett and Alexander follows with Chaos Theory. Charlie with a shooting star press on Everett to get the win and retain.  ***½

Match Three: Ho Ho Lun vs. Ishin vs. Susumu Yokosuka vs. Ethan HD

Ishin goes for the Code of Prestige with everyone and then promptly gets beat down for his troubles. HD takes over on Lun and Yokosuka, but Ishin trips him up before he can try a dive. Yokosuka steps on the foot of Lun, but Lun comes back with a dropkick. Ishin again prevents a dive and gets double teamed by Yokosuka and Ethan HD. HD gets a rana and standing shooting star press for two. Lun takes Ethan out with a jumping knee. Small package on Ishin gets two for Lun. Yokosuka comes back in with a clothesline on Ishin but can’t get a piledriver. HD comes back in to clean house and lands a double stomp to the back of Ishin. Package powerbomb finishes for Ethan HD. Fun, crowd pleasing match.  **½

Match Four: Hyan vs. AZM

We get some impressive fast-paced mat wrestling to begin with neither getting an advantage. Hyan sends AZM into the buckle face first in a wicked bump. Back suplex gets two. Indian Deathlock applied but AZM gets to the ropes. AZM with a nice vertical suplex and corner dropkick for two. They head up top ending with Hyan getting a sunset flip powerbomb. Falcon arrow lands for two. Kick is blocked and AZM gets a German with a bridge fo two. Flying headscissors into an armbar submission but Hyan rolls outside. On the apron, Hyan plants her with a face-first DDT and climbs the buckle, but AZM meets her there and gets an avalanche armdrag. Top-rope doublestomp by AZM gets two. Pinfall reversal sequence results in a series of two counts. Spear by Hyan has both women down. AZM reverses a powerbomb and gets a double underhook destroyer (!) for the win.  ***½ Very physical, hard-hitting encounter.

Match Five: The Rascalz vs. Sinner & Saint

Wentz and Williams start. Corkscrew splash by Wentz gets a quick two as the pace is fast out of the gate. Icarus comes in and S&S doubleteam Wentz to take over. Williams stomps the hand and tosses Wentz down for a one count. Icarus tags in and rains elbows down to the neck of Wentz. Dropkick from Williams gets two. Wentz counters an Irish whip into a handspring enzuigiri and dual tags are made. Miguel with a rana and enzuigiri. Icarus counters a slingshot spot and tags Travis and connects with the Professional Lariat. S&S get more doubleteam moves and Williams gets a brainbuster on Miguel for two. Dualling submissions applied by S&S, but Wentz breaks it up with a DVD on Icarus. Alan Angels runs out and slides the World Title belt into the ring. Williams thinks about what to do, allowing the Rascalz to get a superkick/doublestomp combo for the win. *** Good match as expected that probably could have been a classic with another 10 minutes.

Match Six: Dog Collar Deathmatch – Elliot Tyler vs. Drexl

Sid Sylum is with Tyler. Drexl takes advantage of the dog collar first, whipping Tyler with the chain. Some brawling on the outside is next with Drexl remaining on the offensive as the fans chant for blood. Tyler is busted open as they head back in the ring. Drexl gets him in the tree of woe and chokes him with the dog collar. Drexl goes for a chair but Tyler yanks the chain and pulls Drexl into the ringpost. Tyler gets some choking of his own with an assist from Sylum. Corner charge misses and Drexl gets some chain-assisted punches. Neckbreaker and he climbs, allowing Sylum to run interference as Tyler yanks Drexl off the buckles. Sylum in the ring now (also bleeding) and two Ghostfaces enter the ring and reveal themselves as the Flamin’ Aces to even the odds. Drexl attacks with the chain again and gets another neckbreaker. Low blow and piledriver from Drexl as he wraps the dog collar around Tyler and applies a crossface. Tyler manages to slide out of the ring and yank Drexl across the ropes, then covers for two. Elliot chokes Drexl with the chain which is quickly reversed. Tyler manages to run Drexl head first into a chair propped in the turnbuckles for the surprise win. **

Match Seven: Prestige Tag Team Championships – UltraPower (c) vs. Midnight Heat

Amira and Pearl star the match. Fun fact as noted by Brian Zane on commentary is that the Heat trained Amira. Pearl uses his strength early to gain control. Bearhug applied and Amira resorts to biting to brake that and get a rana. Top rope crossbody is caught by Pearl into a backbreaker as Gibson tags in. Headscissors and armdrag by Amira and she gets the tag to Jaiden. Double cutter and Amira is quickly back in for a two count. Tornado DDT is blocked into another backbreaker this time from Gibson. Pearl back in with an overhead belly to belly suplex for two. Spinebuster/backbreaker variation from Gibson, as the challengers are clearly targeting the back of Amira. More backbreaking commences but Amira won’t quit. Corner charge is dodged and the hot tag is made to Jaiden. Double springboard stunner. Sliced Bread on Pearl gets two. The Heat land the Midnight Hour on Amira and land the Hot Seat for the win and the titles! Clean as a sheet.  ***½

Post match the new champs look to continue the beatdown but the Hammer Brothers chase them off.

Match Eight: Zack Sabre Jr vs. Matt Brannigan

Brannigan out with two drinks in his hands tonight. They toast as Sabre tries one and hates it. Suddenly the crowd breaks out in a “Matt is gonna kill you!” chant. Oh wait, that was just me doing it at home. Sabre starts with a cravat and Matt makes his way to the ropes. Armbar is next, as Sabre coaches Brannigan on how to kip up and reverse the hold. Zack has had enough and tosses one of the cocktails, which fires up Brannigan who then does reverse the armbar and kips up. Atomic drop, but Sabre grabs another cravat and twists the neck. Inverted STF and Matt once again gets to the ropes. Zack locks in a sleeper hold and transitions to an octopus hold. Armbreaker, but Brannigan fires back with a big lariat. Iconoclasm by Matt gets two. DVD from Brannigan and he goes for a chokeslam, but Sabre counters with a triangle choke. Matt powers out with a powerbomb and both guys are out. Chokeslam connects this time and Brannigan goes up top. Swanton bomb misses and Sabre gets a penalty kick, but Matt counters with some superkicks. Backslide by Matt is reversed into a trapping pin by Sabre for the three count. I would say this match met my expectations exactly.  **¾

Match Nine: Calvin Tankman vs. Tomohiro Ishii

We start with the chop exchange. Shoulderblocks are also exchanged ending in Tankman getting a pounce. Bodyslam and splash gets two. More chops from Tankman but Ishii gets a low dropkick. They fight over a suplex and ultimately Ishii just goes with a hard lariat instead. Ishii can’t quite get a suplex (or brainbuster) and goes for more lariats. Tankman catches him with a backbreaker and his own lariat for two. Back elbow gets another two count. Fallaway slam and a charge, but Ishii avoids it and gets a German suplex. Clothesline stops Ishii and he stacks a powerbomb for two (even though the ref counts three). Another lariat and the ref counts three again, but Ishii kicks out. William Quintana comes out to restart the match. Ishii with a headbutt and basement lariat. Lariat again but Tankman pops right back up and clubs Ishii down. Top rope moonsault misses. Ishii rips a lariat off for two and he does get the brainbuster this time for the win. **¾  Would be curious to see what happened with those false pinfalls, but otherwise the match was solid.

Main Event: Prestige World Championship – Alan Angels (c) vs. Timothy Thatcher

Angels backs off of Thatcher’s aggressive style early on. On the apron, Thatcher clubs the champion down and locks in a bow and arrow. European uppercut sends the champ outside again and they fight into the crowd. Angels gets a dropkick back inside and hits a tope suicida to the floor again. Loud chop in the corner and a front facelock is applied. Thatcher is of course able to break out of that and slam Angels face first onto the ring apron. Angels takes back over knocking Thatcher off the apron and throws some chops. Thatcher hulks up and gets a belly to belly toss, but the champion comes back with a neckbreaker. Angels goes for the Bronco Buster and misses. Thatcher lays in some chops, but Angels fires back and gets a seated Halo Strike kick. He goes for the Angels Wings but Thatcher backdrops him over instead. Fujiwara armbar is locked in by the challenger and Angels grabs the referee and pulls him in to break the hold. Sinner and Saint walk out, carrying the Prestige World Title. Thatcher fights them off but Angels hits him with a belt shot and hooks in the Halo Stretch as the ref calls for the bell. Angels retains.  ***¼

After the match, Angels wants S&S to continue the beatdown on Thatcher but they refuse. So Angels slaps Icarus and shoves Williams down, and Icarus finally snaps and cracks Angels in the face. Williams follows suit and S&S hit the Ode to the Fallen on the champion to end The Noise stable.

Final Thoughts: Another top to bottom good show from Prestige, as is the norm especially when it comes to Roseland. We got some noteworthy happenings with the Tag Titles going back to the Midnight Heat, and the breakup of The Noise at the end of the show.
