Simon Gotch: Due To The Changes To Bloodsport, I Will Not Be in Vegas For Mania Week

Simon Gotch has announced that he will no longer be in Las Vegas this week for Mania week due to the changes to the Bloodsport card.

Due to the changes to Bloodsport, I will not be in Vegas for Mania week. I was initially slotted into the Clusterfuck, but pitched an alternative that was more advantageous for myself and GCW. Thank you to @JoshLBarnett and @Lauderdale11, and good luck and be safe to everyone.

Josh Barnett replied to the tweet saying, “The tragedy of the wrestling business. We had a great match for Simon and then the opponent pulled out and it all got lost in the shuffle.”

Simon Gotch’s opponent for Bloodsport XIIl was never announced but David Modzmanashvilli did pull off the card, so it’s possible that he was Gotch’s opponent. After Gotch was left without an opponent, he was announced for GCW’s Clusterf*ck Forever, but will no longer be competing in the match.

Gotch wasn’t the only wrestler pulled from this year’s Bloodsport. Last week, Lou Nixon stated that he lost his spot on the event.

Barnett has received backlash for having too many WWE talents on the upcoming card. Seven out of the ten matches have WWE superstars competing.

Josh Barnett’s Bloodsport XIII will take place on Thursday April 17th at the Pearl Theater at Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas, Nevada. The event will stream live on TrillerTV+.
